Translation

Except those who repent after this and correct themselves. Allah is Ghafoor (Most Forgiving) and Raheem (the One Who very generously accepts repentance).

Tafsir

Allah (swt) created human beings incomplete mentally. When people see the mistakes they have made and ask for forgiveness from Allah (swt), Allah (swt) will forgive them as it is in accordance with the purpose of Allah (swt)'s creation. In this respect, Allah has kept the doors of repentance open for people.

In this case, people will make mistakes because they are not free from error. However, when they realize that what they have done is wrong and bad, and they realize that Allah does not want them to do so and that they have sinned, and they turn back and ask Allah for forgiveness, Allah will forgive such people. Allah is All-Forgiving. His forgiveness is abundant. Those who do wrong and then realize that what they did was a sin, when they repent, they will find Allah forgiving. Because there is no other God besides Allah so that these people can take refuge in the other God and be saved.

What is said in the video

Surah An-Nur, verse 5 Except those who after this repent and mend their ways. Allah is Most Forgiving and Merciful. He will repent. What will he say? O my great Lord, O my Allah, Owner of the worlds — other than You this helpless servant of Yours has no door to go to — forgive him. I followed my nafs, I followed Satan, I lied, I slandered; have mercy on me.

If You do not have mercy on me, if You do not pity me, what will become of me?

Your mercy has surpassed Your wrath; lift that wrath from me, my Allah. I have repented. I have sworn never to say it again. I have taken refuge in You — saying this, he will ask Allah Almighty for pardon and forgiveness.

Allah Almighty has truly created people deficient. When people see the mistakes they have made and ask Allah Almighty for pardon and forgiveness, since this accords with Allah Almighty's purpose in creating, Allah will forgive people. For this reason too, Allah Almighty has kept the doors of repentance open to people. In this case, since people are not free of error, people will make mistakes. But when they see that what they did is wrong and bad, and realize that Allah does not want it and that they have earned sin, and turn back and ask Allah Almighty for pardon and forgiveness, Allah Almighty will forgive such people.

Allah is Forgiving and Merciful, abundant in pardon. Those who do wrong and then understand that their wrong was a sin find Allah Forgiving when they repent. Because there is no god other than Allah such that these people could, by taking refuge in another god, attain salvation.
