And the fifth time, to say that; if her husband is truly among the truthful ones, Allah’s wrath shall be upon her.
Tafsir
The woman who is accused of adultery should say for the fifth time, 'Alhamdulillah, may the wrath of Allah be upon me if I am one of the liars. If the woman testifies in this way, the crime of adultery is removed from her.
The penalties of Recm are also abolished, so that the husband and wife are separated. In this way they are divorced. The ruling of verses six, seven, eight and nine are settled by this verse.
There are several narrations about the occurrence of this verse. It is said that when the verse on adultery was revealed, the Prophet (PBUH) ascended the pulpit and delivered a sermon to the Companions about adultery. Asim ibn Ediyyilensari stood up and said, "O Rasulullah! May my life be sacrificed for you. If a man sees his wife committing adultery with another man, and he has no witnesses, and he reports it, he will be beaten with eighty sticks and his testimony will not be accepted. If he kills him with a sword, he will also be killed. If he keeps silent, he will remain in anger. If he goes to bring four witnesses, the woman and the adulterer will have fulfilled their pilgrimage and he will not be able to see them together. Then Hilal ibn Umayya from Ansar came there and said that he had seen his wife Khawla and Shurayq ibn Sahman fornicating with his wife. They reported this to the Prophet (pbuh). Khawla, the wife of Hilal ibn Umayya, denied that she was accused of adultery. Hilal ibn Umayya, the husband of Khawla who made this accusation, was in a difficult situation when these verses were revealed. They were treated as lean, which saved them from the crime of Qazf, i.e. adultery, and from the death penalty, and they were divorced in this way.
What is said in the video
We have come to the ninth verse of Surah An-Nur. The fifth time, the woman says: if her husband is among the truthful, then surely may Allah's wrath be upon her. What does it say? If, eşhedü billah, my husband is among the truthful, may Allah's wrath be upon me. Yes. The woman accused of adultery says the fifth time: eşhedü billah, if I am among the liars, may Allah's wrath be upon me. If the woman testifies in this way, the charge of adultery is lifted from her. The stoning punishments are also removed. Thus husband and wife are separated. In this way they are divorced. The ruling of verses 6, 7, 8 and 9 is settled with this verse. There are several narrations about how this verse was revealed.
It is said that when the verse on adultery was revealed, the Prophet (peace be upon him) went up to the pulpit and gave the noble Companions a sermon about adultery. Asim ibn Adiyy al-Ansari, Asim bin Adiyy al-Ansari stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah, may my life be sacrificed for you. When a man sees his wife in intercourse with another man, and there is no witness at all, what is he saying? When a man sees his wife in intercourse with another man, and there is no witness at all, if he reports it, he will be given eighty lashes. Moreover, his testimony will not be accepted. If he kills the man he saw with a sword, he himself will be killed.
If he keeps silent, he will be left consumed by rage. If he goes to bring four witnesses, the man committing adultery with the woman will have done his business and these together, he will not be able to see them together. As he was saying this, Hilal ibn Umayya from the Ansar came there. He said that his wife Havli and Shurayk ibn Shahman (?) were in intercourse, that he had seen them. So they presented this to the Prophet (peace be upon him). Hilal ibn Umayya's wife Havli, however, denied the accusation of adultery against her. While Hilal ibn Umayya, Halve's husband, who made this accusation, was in a difficult position, these verses were revealed.
Li'an was carried out between them. Through this they were freed from qadhf, that is, from the charge of adultery and from stoning, and in this way they were divorced. Yes.
