An-Naml 61: (Are they better) or the One Who; has made the earth inhabitable, Who makes rivers flow between it (underground and on earth), Who has created mountains to make the earth stable and Who has put an invisible barrier between the two oceans? Is there a deity other than Allah? Verily, most of them are unaware.

Surah An-Naml, verse 61 Are they better?

That is, the beings Allah created — taking them as gods for themselves, and from them, superstitiously, those senseless ones, of My creations, declaring them gods themselves, and by their own reasoning asking what they want — is that better, or He who made the earth fit to dwell on, who, between them, under and over the ground, made rivers flow, who created firm mountains for the earth, who between the two seas placed a barrier? Is there a god besides Allah? In truth, most of them do not know. O beautiful Lord, how beautifully He explains it. Yes. Allah Almighty, in this verse, about the creation of the universe, tells of some miraculous and superhuman ways of creating, so that when people, over time, discover this knowledge, they understand Allah's existence and greatness and prove that the verses of the Quran are a miracle.

In view of this, Allah, who reveals these events people did not know, has proven that He is the absolute owner and creator of the universe.

Namely, when He says "who made the earth fit to dwell on", He means the creation of man and the earth in harmony with each other. The earth's atmosphere, at 81 or 83 km of height, with one atmosphere of pressure at sea level, the human heart pressure, and the living beings on earth being created in harmony with this atmospheric pressure; the oxygen in the earth's atmosphere giving life to living beings — that is what He means. It is the earth, the sun, and the moon as a satellite becoming fit for people's life on earth. Also, what is meant by "who, between them, under and over the ground, made rivers flow" is that Allah, who created every living thing from water, having created people and living beings so that they need water, meets their need for water above and under the ground by making rivers flow.

What He means by "who created firm mountains for the earth" is that beneath the mountains are water reservoirs. Water reservoirs. And mountains are very heavy in weight, as you know.

With the earth rotating around its own axis, a centrifugal force arises. Centrifugal force. Now, suppose we took a piece of paper like this in our hand.

When we hold it from both sides like this, it sags. But if we start spinning it like this, spinning it, if we spin it quickly, perhaps it would even lift a stone we put on it, unhindered, up to a certain weight. Allah Almighty, too, has made such a calculation that — so that with people's atomic tests, bomb tests on earth, buildings being built en masse in certain places, a certain place being emptied, in this situation the earth does not lose its balance — His calling the mountains firm mountains, His placing water reservoirs beneath the mountains, and with these weights turning the earth around its own axis in 24 hours, that is, at 1666 kilometers per hour, its speed per hour, I mean, and because of its centrifugal force, because of that flinging outward, His preventing any imbalance caused on earth,

His creating deserts, and, with an imbalance made on earth, what is in those deserts flowing toward that side or toward another side, thus keeping the earth in balance.

What does it say? What He means by "who created firm mountains for the earth" is that beneath the mountains are water reservoirs. The earth, turning around its own axis at 40,000 kilometers in 24 hours, keeps going at a speed of 1666-odd per hour. Because of the centrifugal force of the earth turning this way, He has ensured its balance. So that the earth, affected by the events on it, does not turn unbalanced, the firm mountains and the waters beneath these mountains, flung by the centrifugal force, keep the earth turning in balance — He has ensured this. This, too, is another knowledge and power of Allah.

His saying "who placed a barrier between the two seas" tells us of the world's secrets that people did not know, and with the discovery of these secrets, Allah proves of Himself that there is no other god besides Him. Namely, in the Strait of Gibraltar, which connects the Mediterranean and the ocean, although the salty and the fresh are together, with no curtain or barrier between them, they do not mix with each other. These events, these secrets Allah created, are told to us, and when these foretold events come to light and are discovered, it is proven that the One who brought the universe into being from nothing, who truly created these worlds, is Allah.

So is there another god besides Allah, that you associate partners with Allah, that you hope for help from Allah's creations, that you sink into the world and forget Allah, that you attack those who say "Allah" and look down on them? And what He means by "in truth, these people do not know the truths" is that, because these people denied Allah in the beginning, at Qalu Bala, their own wishes have been given to them as their destiny. Since these people, within this destiny, do not want to hear Allah's word, they turn away from Allah's verses and stop their ears against the truth.
