Translation

Verily, you cannot make the dead hear, and you cannot make the deaf hear while they turn their backs to your call.

Tafsir

Allah created our souls in the realm of Lahut. He made a covenant with them, that is, with each soul individually. He left people free in their own will, in their own desires and wishes.

Therefore, when He introduced Himself to mankind as the Creator, people were divided into three groups in the Hereafter. These are the right-wingers, the left-wingers and the mukârrebun. Refer to verses 7, 8, 9, and 10 of Surah Al-Taqiya. These Verses will be opened in their turn.

Those whom he calls leftists, those who deny Allah, those who deny Allah even though Allah created them, according to the verse in which he says, (They are the ones who betrayed me in the past), but these people who inevitably know that there is an Allah, because they deny Allah who created them, these people are dead because their hearts are sealed. Their ears are deaf and their eyes are blind. (Hatamallahu ala gulubihim wa ala semihim wa ala ebsarihim ğışaveh velahum azabun azim) They are the people for whom this verse corresponds.

When such people come to this world, when they live the life of this world, their hearts are filled with hatred and hatred against Allah (swt), because they have programmed themselves according to their own desires and wishes, when they made a covenant with Allah (swt) in Kalu Bela. They are also people who live like the dead, with pride and arrogance and self-seeking.

According to the verse (do not be with the dead), their ears are deaf, and when it says, "You cannot announce the invitation to the deaf while they turn their backs and go away," it means that their ears are blocked against the Truth. Because they do not want to hear the Word of Truth, they cannot hear, comprehend and respond to Allah's invitation properly because they have blocked their ears against the Word of Truth. In this respect they are deaf.

What is said in the video

We have come to verse 80 of Surah An-Naml.

Know that you cannot make the dead hear.

(?), people who have denied Allah, the living dead: you cannot make them hear the truth. Because their ears are deaf, their eyes blind, and their hearts sealed. Yes. İnneke lâ tüsmiu'l-mevtâ. You cannot make the dead hear. Ve lâ tüsmiu's-summe'd-duâe izâ vellev müdbirîn. As they turn their backs and go, to the deaf you cannot make the call heard either. Yes. İzâ vellev müdbirîn. To those who turn their backs and go, as they go, to the deaf as well, the call you cannot make heard. Allah Almighty created our souls in the realm of lahut. He made a covenant with them, that is, with each soul separately.

He left people, within their own wishes and desires, in their own will, free. Therefore, when He made His essence known to people as Creator, people in the hereafter were divided into three groups. These are the people of the right, the people of the left, and those of the class of the muqarrabin. Refer to Surah Al-Waqi'ah, verses 7, 8, 9. In these verses it will be explained when its turn comes. What does it say? (?) O people of the right, glad tidings to you. O people of the left, woe to you.

A third group, it says, the group of the sabiqun. The group of the saints, the prophets, the martyrs, the shuhada. Yes. Those he calls the people of the left are those who deny Allah, except those who are among the people of the left as (?). They, according to the verse where He says: to Me, those who betrayed Me before as well, are those who deny Allah although Allah created them. But these people, who inescapably know that there is an Allah, because they deny Allah who created them, because these people's hearts are sealed, these people are dead. Their ears are deaf and their eyes are blind. Hatemallâhu alâ kulûbihim ve alâ sem'ihim ve alâ ebsârihim ğışâvetün ve lehüm azâbün azîm.

They are the people that verse refers to. These people, when they made the covenant with Allah Almighty at kalû belâ in pre-eternity, when they had themselves programmed this way according to their own wishes and desires, such people, when they come into the world and live the life of this world, their hearts are full of resentment and hatred toward Allah Almighty. Moreover, pursuing their ego with pride and arrogance, these are people who live like the dead. Yes.

So, according to the verse: do not be with the dead. Their ears are deaf as well. When He says: as they turn their backs and go, you cannot make the deaf hear the call, their ears are closed to the truth. Because, not wanting to hear the word of truth, they have blocked their ears to the word of truth, and so they cannot rightly (?) perceive Allah's call and respond to it. That is why they are deaf.
