An-Naml 88: You will see the mountains and think that they stay in their place. But in fact, they move just like the clouds move. (This) is the Artistery of Allah, Who has created everything firmly. Verily, Allah is aware of all what you have been doing.

Surah An-Naml, verse 88. You see the mountains and think they stand still in their place. Well, of course, if you turn the earth at a speed of 1666 km, the earth on its own axis stands as if we were not turning, as if standing still — together with gravity you of course see the earth as standing still. Yet they move just as the clouds move. This is the art of Allah, who makes everything perfectly firm. Surely He is fully aware of what you do. Allah created everything perfectly firm. People will ruin it with their own hands. Now, if He created it perfectly firm here, then in return for creating it perfectly firm, sir, a person ought to say: then the Last Day should not come.

Because Allah is (?) transcendent in His attributes. In one verse He says: you will bring it about with your own hands. With what? If you make perfumes so that people smell nice, and with that perfume you tear the ozone layer, the ozone layer that (?) the sun's ultraviolet rays, that layer comes to a state where it does not (?), and from there, the North Pole's (?), if you set about (?) it, as the North Pole's (?) decreases, with the earth's pushing force around its own axis, if it turns one second, a few seconds short every year, what will happen? You are bringing it about with your own hands.

Yes. The verse of the Holy Quran is a miracle. The Quran was revealed 1424 years before our time. But that means it has been 15 years since this was written. We are now in 1439. Yes.

At that time there was no science or knowledge either. Allah proves to us how the earth turns through the sciences that come about in the course of time. He proves His existence, that He created the universe with knowledge, and that of these creations, of all existence, He is the absolute ruler and owner. The earth's turning on its own axis and its being round came to light one, one and a half centuries ago. But fourteen centuries ago Allah, the owner of the universe, informs us that the earth turns. His existence — and Allah, who, by creating everything firm, that is, solid, lets people live on what He created without letting them fall into panic, displays His art and openly and plainly, in a way every mind can understand, proves His existence.

That is: you see the mountains and think they stand still in their place. The earth's turning on its own axis has an hourly speed of 1666, and (?) it keeps on turning. The mountains too travel along with this process. As an example, Allah Almighty points to the clouds. Just like the clouds, the mountains are moving too, He says. This is Allah's power and might, the subtlety of His art and His creation. That people who turn in space and live on the earth, while they have no evidence in their hands, without making themselves safe on this mount, the earth Allah created, defy Allah, oppose Allah's commands and deny Allah — this again is an astonishing thing.

When Allah Almighty exists and proves that all of creation is Allah's with such clear and plain evidence, and yet a person opposes Allah's commands, then they are like those who put their own rope around their own neck and pass their own death sentence, people who execute themselves and commit suicide. In form they are human, but in nature no different from an animal. Allah Almighty says in His verse: they are like animals roaming the earth; indeed, they are even more astray in their way.

Allah Almighty gives people an example. The animals in the shepherd's flock hear the shepherd's shouting. But they do not understand what he says. So although Allah Almighty, giving these people so many examples, proves Himself, these people, with a cotton thread, or with a bond like the web of the spider, the weakest of homes, bind themselves to one another like this, and they hope for help from them. People with no evidence in their hands, not listening to Allah Almighty's commands, turn their backs. In the world they try to find peace by aspiring to fame and glory. Deceived by the material wealth of the world, they take pride in it.

Among their own supporters, paying compliments to one another and trying to raise themselves up, they satisfy the pride of their nafs. In this state they turn their backs on Allah. Acting outside Allah's commands, thinking they have reached a state of having shown great heroism and greatness, they do not notice, in their (?), their abasement and their going astray. People in such a state, those seized by pride and arrogance, are deaf. They hear Allah's verses but do not understand them. So Allah Almighty, because He is the owner and absolute ruler of the universe — Allah, who keeps His creations under His rule, since He has power over all things — says Allah is fully aware of what we do.
