Vow to that; Moses came to you with true messages and clear miracles. After that, you have worshipped the calf and became oppressors.
Tafsir
Allah swears by His Essence that Musa (Moses) came to you with true news; after proving the existence of His Essence to this people, after proving that these people were not inclined to deny the existence of Allah in the face of so many miracles, He put His Essence in the middle, that is, by swearing by His Essence, Moses came to you with true news. He came to you with words from Allah to give you life, to guide you, to light the way for you, to give you life. He was also given clear miracles to prove to you that he is a Messenger sent from Us.
Nevertheless, when We called Moses to the Tour to give him the Furqan, you worshipped the calf after him. Did We not know that you would worship the calf? Why did We call Moses to the Tour? Could we not have spoken to him in your midst? The disbelief in your hearts about the covenant that you had made, turned you back to your original ways after him. We took Moses out of your midst to prove this to you. If you did not have in your hearts the love of the calf, that is, the love of polytheism against the creatures of Allah, you would have believed after so many miracles. We have created this world and set you free in what you do, so that We may make you witnesses to the covenant you made before.
Otherwise, without bringing you to this worldly realm, we would have punished you there immediately for your denial of my Essence and your turning away from me, and sent you to your rightful place. We did not do that. Then you could have asked my Essence a question like this. O Allah, if You had sent us to a realm where Your Essence is not visible, look how we would have worshipped You, how we would have continued to worship Your Essence, and how we would have continued to worship You. So that you would not say, We have written down the covenants you have made, according to your desires and wishes, as destiny. Wherever you go, you cannot go beyond your destiny. In this respect, when you die, the Hereafter will be shown to you, then you will say, O Allah, send us back to this world and see how we will worship You. Since what you want is destined for you and you cannot change this destiny, Allah (swt) says, "If we send you back to this world not once but several times, you will still do the same deed. In this respect, once a person dies and his soul leaves the body, there is no return to the world.
It is because of your turning away from Allah that you cannot harm Allah, but you wrong your own souls by not listening to the Verses of Allah.
What is said in the video
In verse 92 of the Surah: 'Verily, Moses, with true news and clear miracles, had come to you.' To whom? To the Jewish people, the people of Israel. Let's not say Jewish — the people of Israel.
'Then, after him, you worshipped the calf and became wrongdoers.'
Swearing by His own Self, Allah Almighty says, 'Verily.' Moses had come to you with true news and clear miracles. What is this true news? His saying, 'I am a prophet.' Many miracles being shown to Pharaoh. His saving them from Pharaoh's oppression and bringing them across to the desert of Tih. Pharaoh drowning in the Red Sea. These are the true news and clear miracles. These are clear. Further, among the clear miracles there are seven signs. There are many more signs, like locusts, blood, drought. Then, when Moses entrusted them to Aaron — when he entrusted his people to Aaron and went up Mount Sinai to commune with Allah Almighty, there the Samiri deceived them. He collected their jewels (?) and made a calf.
According to one narration, Satan made the calf produce a sound. But the strong likelihood, the strong likelihood — I don't consider it likely that Satan made the calf produce a sound. Why not? Because if Satan had openly appeared to people this way, if he had made a sound, he deceived people. He only gives people temptation. That is his job: to tempt. With the sound of the wind, the calf's lowing — let's not say the sound of the wind, rather with the wind blowing — he was such a craftsman, a great craftsman, that whenever the wind blew, from the calf came a lowing sound. 'This is your god,' he said.
'Moses went to the wrong place. He is looking for God,' he said. Then, because love of the calf had settled in their hearts, at once they believed in the calf. What are we saying? Allah Almighty, swearing by His Self, that Moses (peace be upon him) came to you with true news — His saying this comes after He had fully proven His existence to this people; that is, after Allah Himself had fully proven His Self. With what does He prove it? After proving it with the miracles I just listed — after proving that these people, before so many miracles, had nothing left with which to turn to denying Allah's existence — after proving that, putting His Self forward, Allah Almighty, that is, swearing by His Self: Moses came to you with true news.
That is, he was a prophet. He told you the truth. What does He do first? He puts His Self forward. He swears. With what does He put it forward? He puts His Self forward. With the miracles He showed. Now it is an inescapable situation. Yes, He has miracles shown in a way that makes one say 'Allah exists.' His first miracle: against the sorcerers, the magic they had made — Moses swallowing it. That is, casting the staff at them and swallowing those serpents.
His second miracle — that is, these news: from Pharaoh, who let the girls go free and killed the boys, saving (?). While Pharaoh made them work under the harshest tortures, saving him from Pharaoh's hands. Before they even left, many more miracles appearing, as I listed just now: locusts, blood, frogs, drought appearing. Then taking them out, out of that region, to the desert of Tih; Pharaoh drowning in the Red Sea; Mount Sinai being raised over them as a shade. So this is inescapable. After Allah Almighty has proven His Self inescapably, He puts it forward. His Self — what does He say? Putting it forward, that is, swearing by His Self: Moses came to you with true news.
With words from Allah Almighty that would give you life, guide you, hold a light before you, bring you to life — with those he came. With what? With the Torah. Plus, with some verses Allah Almighty made known to him, his guiding those people. He was also given clear miracles, so that 'he is a prophet sent by Us' — We prove that to you. Many miracles are given too, because he is a prophet sent by Us.
Despite this, when, to give Moses the Furqan, We called him to the Mount, behind him you worshipped the calf. 'Did We not know you would worship the calf?' says Allah Almighty. Did We not know? He knew. Then why did He give room for this? Because through the traits each person shows by their own will, they will make themselves witnesses before Allah Almighty, themselves and those around. And because, although Allah Almighty showed so many miracles, these people, before Allah's attribute of Godhood, will have no words left at all to say — that is why. He gives them room so that they prove themselves.
Why did We call Moses? 'Could We not have spoken with him among you too?' says Allah Almighty. He could have. According to the covenant you gave, the kufr and hypocrisy in your hearts then turned you back to your true self. That state within the covenant you gave — you, amid the miracles We had given Moses, to save your lives — you followed him. But when We took Moses away from you, with the love of the calf within you, you turned to kufr at once, He says. You turned to kufr.
Yes. We took Moses from among you to make you prove this. If in your hearts the love of the calf, that is, the love of shirk toward Allah's creatures, had not been there, after so many miracles you would of course have believed. Yes. We created this world and left you free in what you do, so that, against the covenant you gave before, We hold you as witnesses. Where? At the address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm. When Allah Almighty said there, 'I am your Lord.' What will he do? In the world, this person, that desire and wish of his, his will at the Elestü bi-Rabbiküm address, having had it written for himself as destiny — with his partial will, through the traits he shows in the world, through his desires and wishes, he will prove himself.
Otherwise We — otherwise, without bringing you into this world, for your denial of My Self and your turning away from Me, We would have punished you right there and sent you to the place you deserved. That is, what does He say? 'I know what you are.' 'I would have settled your account right there too.' 'But then I would be ascribed an attribute.' Allah Almighty. What does He say? 'Then I would be ascribed an attribute.' It's not here, of course; we are the ones saying it. How would He be ascribed one? Allah Almighty says, 'Do not ascribe deficiency' — no one will find the right to question Him.
Not because He caused him pain and suffering.
In the face of all that happened, he will see that he himself is guilty. And he will have no more questions. Because Allah Almighty gave the human a part of His Self, that is, of His Spirit, with people resembling Allah one to one, resembling the Self of Allah Almighty, if before people our Lord said, 'We are your Lord,' they might not be able to believe. Those people: 'If You had sent us to the unseen realm, if we had believed in the unseen, the unseen, we would have known You there.' Solely to be free of this attribute, Allah Almighty sent us to this realm of mulk. Now look, in this verse of Surah Al-Mulk, how beautiful: 'He who, to test which of you will act best, death and life created.' 'To test' is wrong here; we are correcting it.
Which of you, within your own will, will do better deeds — to make you prove it to yourselves, We created death and life. 'He is the Absolutely Mighty, the Most Forgiving,' it says. Yes, what is He doing? He will send people to an unseen realm, clothe them in an outward garb; within that outward garb, through people's dealings, what they do, the trade they engage in, their desires and wishes, they will prove themselves. And so, in the unseen realm, Allah Almighty too — 'For anything We have not made known We call no one to account,' by His verse saying so — although to all people He has made His existence known, today in the remotest corner of the world, even at the poles, although they know of Islam, every person, according to his own desire and wish, by his own will, lives his own ideology.
I won't say 'his religion'. Religion is only the Sharia rulings with the verses sent by Allah. That is religion. You cannot call the laws people make religion. Those are their own ideologies. Because the meaning of religion is different. Religion means: of our Lord who created us, Allah, absolute in power and absolute in rule — the commands. That is religion. The commands that come from Him are what we call religion. You cannot call someone else's words religion. What do you call it? Ideology. Their own understanding. Yes.
'We did not do this,' He says. That is, We would have destroyed you right there, but We did not. Why did We not? So that there be no deficiency there, so that you don't say, 'If You had sent me to an unseen realm, I would have worshipped You' — for that, this realm of mulk We created. 'Then you could have directed a question like this to My Self,' He says. Allah Almighty: 'O my Allah, if You had sent us to a realm where Your Self is not seen, look how we would serve You, never fall short in our worship, and keep on worshipping Your Self.' So that you don't say that, the covenants you gave — We, according to your desires and wishes, wrote your wishes for you as destiny; wherever you go, you cannot step outside your destinies; therefore, when dying, the Hereafter is shown to you.
Then you: 'O my Allah, send us back to the world. See how we will worship You,' you say. Since your wish has been written for you as destiny and you cannot change this destiny, Allah Almighty: 'Even if We sent you back to the world not once but several more times, you would again do the same thing,' He declares. With verses. So what does that mean? Here we went over it in short sentences. Allah Almighty, who is free from any deficient attribute — so that you don't say, 'O my Allah, You created me in a way resembling You. That is why I could not recognize You as Lord. I could not recognize You. If You had sent me to the world, to an unseen realm, look how beautifully I would have worshipped You.' So, here is the challenge.
Go ahead. The world, with its seven billion people. Seven billion, isn't it? With its seven billion people. Everyone, within their own desires and wishes, within the states of their nafs, by the rulings they themselves have given, with their own will-less wills, is proving themselves.
And when would you say it?
At the moment of death. What does Allah Almighty say? İzâ beleğati'l-hulkûm. 'When the soul reaches the throat, hîneizin tenzurûn — come on, turn it back then,' He says. 'The relatives gather around and wait for the soul to leave,' He says. 'And by Our power — are you closer to him, or are We?' He says. Then the realms of the Hereafter are shown to him. When the soul reaches the throat — that is, in one narration to this (?), in another narration here the rooster bone — when it reaches it, the doors of repentance close. Why do they close? The unseen realm is now over. Those covenants, those agreements you made in the realm of the Hereafter are shown to you in full clarity.
Then: 'Alas! My Lord, send me back; see how I will worship You,' he says. But even if We sent you not once but several more times — aren't those traits in you? Wasn't your desire and wish written for you as your will? 'You would do the same thing again,' He says. Well then, there's no going back now. The journey has begun. Yes.
Therefore, once a person dies and the soul leaves the body, a return to the world again there is none. But when it comes to nonsense: they bring the soul, put it into a dog; they bring the soul, let me tell you, put it into animals; they bring the soul. They even put the soul into plants; supposedly all of them have a soul. Supposedly all living things have a soul. Soul. What kind of understanding is this? These, those who say this, are those at the head of certain groups — their hodjas, hodjas — may there never be such hodjas.
They themselves need a teacher. And yet they set out to teach. This nonsense: souls are supposedly in animals too. Well, Allah Almighty created the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from His light.
From his light He created this universe. Then He gave him of His Spirit.
From his soul He created the souls of the prophets, and from there the souls of the peoples. This universe, created from Allah Almighty's light — which is indirectly created from Allah Almighty's light. To the Prophet (peace be upon him) His light He gives. If this universe was created from the Prophet's light, if the angels too were created from his light, if even angels have no soul, how does this nonsense come about, that Allah's partial spirit, that sacred spirit — of which Allah Almighty, in His verse, says, 'My Beloved, they ask you about the souls; say: it is a command of my Lord' — that spirit, which belongs to that command, they put into animals.
What kind of understanding, what kind of knowledge shall we call it — we won't; rather, what falsehood this nonsense is stuck in.
On what basis do they say this?
The sacred spirit. Allah Almighty: 'It is a command of Mine,' He says. Here there are, blowing people's minds, blowing their minds, many things. But the Prophet (peace be upon him) says, 'Speak to people according to their minds.' So I don't want to confuse people's minds. This nonsense: this soul, and (?) the spirit, they bring it into animals too, they put it. They, they are, by Allah Almighty, from the light of the Prophet (peace be upon him) created. Do you know what the strongest proof of this is?
The strongest proof.
The greatest proof that no creature other than man has a soul: souls are immortal. Since the universal Spirit is Allah Almighty, He is without beginning and without end, the Manifest and the Hidden, everlasting. He subsists by His Self. Man's remaining forever in Paradise or Hell is through his soul. So since souls will not perish, since souls will not perish, and the other creatures Allah Almighty will annihilate, with what mind did you bring the soul, put it into that animal, and annihilate that soul as well? What does it say? When the animals are gathered, they will come, take their due from one another, and vanish.
Well, wasn't the soul immortal? How did you bring it into these animals, into this nature, how did you put it there?
So, gentlemen, know-nothing people at the head of groups have multiplied. Under Islamic websites, superstitions spread and spread. They keep spreading. They keep spreading. Shall we deal with one of them? With five of them? With a hundred of them? But there is this: just as for the prophets, to prove the truth, Allah Almighty was behind them, because we too explain our Lord's truth, because we too are heirs of the prophets, our Lord is behind us; He will make it heard, inshallah. He will make it heard. We will remove these superstitions. This nonsense. Which of them speaks with a verse? Which person takes a verse into his mouth and says, 'This is what this verse means'?
They broaden it according to their own minds. The interpretation of the verse they broaden contradicts another verse.
What does it say?
That soul has no return to the world. It is gone. Let him beg and shout as much as he wants: 'Send me back again.' 'Even if We sent you back not once but several more times, you would do the same thing again,' He says. Because of your turning away from Allah, you cannot harm Allah. Even if this whole universe united, the heavens and the earth and what lies between them could not harm Allah in the slightest. Because through Allah Almighty's attribute al-Hayy, the whole universe, all these living beings, find life from Allah Almighty. Allah Almighty, however, is free of His creatures. Therefore, even if these creatures, all of them, mankind and jinn, gathered together, all creation gathered, no harm from them would reach Allah.
Yes.
