Translation

Behold, The Jews and polytheists are amongst those who are the most inclined towards the worldly life. Some wish to live thousand years. But living long would not save them from the punishment. Allah sees all the actions, thoroughly.

Tafsir

If people do not have the love of Allah and the feeling of strength from Allah in their hearts, they will turn to things that will replace this love and feeling, and they will direct their own lives with their own mental state, and they will have feelings such as trusting in their children, boasting in their relatives, being proud of their wealth and possessions, and enjoying their own existence, and they will forget the Hereafter. Their world and life becomes this world. They can never leave their relatives, children, property and possessions. You will find the Jewish people in these feelings, the most haredi of people. This is what Allah (swt) informs us.

Even if some of them live for a thousand years, and live in a reign. Even if he continues to live in splendor, with his children and well-wishers, with his ego, ambition and pride. Let people say that this is such and such a person and never die. Oh for them! This is death! May they live on in splendor, may they live forever in their hearts.

Is there such a life? Yes, there is such a life, and this life is the life of eternal paradise in the Hereafter by winning the friendship of Allah (swt). The desire of people who forget Allah and polytheists, those who turn their backs on Allah, to live so long in this world, will not keep them away from the Fire, nor will they attain the paradise they dream of.

(Allah sees exactly what they are doing.) Nothing is hidden in the sight of our Lord. Allah (swt) informs us that their whispering amongst themselves, plotting against people and implementing them when the time comes, not only increases their cruelty to their own souls, but also does not diminish their sins, on the contrary, they gain sins. Are sins diminished? Yes, sins are diminished in the sight of Allah. But sin does not increase unless you sin. How does sin diminish? If a person knows Allah (swt) as Allah (swt), makes a mistake and then seeks refuge in Allah (swt) from the sin he has committed and repents, Allah (swt) accepts people's repentance. He forgives their sins with His attribute of Gaffar and covers their sins with His attribute of Settar.

Since these polytheists do not know Allah and do not repent to our Lord, their sins are never diminished and their deeds are clear to Allah, He sees them completely. He sees and knows not only the polytheists and sinners, but also everything in all these worlds, from mote to sphere.

What is said in the video

To verse 96.

Yes.

You will find the Jews and the polytheists, in regard to living worldly life, the most grasping of people, it says. What does it say? You will find the Jews and the polytheists... Here, when it says polytheists, it means the idol-worshippers. Yes.

in regard to living worldly life, the most grasping of people. Some of these polytheists wish to live a thousand years. Yet being kept alive does not remove anyone from the torment. Allah sees fully what they do, it says. Give me a glass of tea.

What have we written? if in people's hearts there is no love of Allah and no feeling of drawing strength from Allah, people turn to beings that will fill the place of this love and feeling, steering their own lives with their own reasoning, trusting in their children, boasting of relatives and kin, taking pride in wealth and property, delighting in their own existence, such feelings they are carried away by, and those carried away by these feelings forget the hereafter.

Who would do this? People without the love of Allah in their hearts. Let us read this part once more. Look how fine it is. Which feelings would do this?

The place of this love and feeling; that is, if there is no love of Allah, a person will lean on something. Muslims put their trust in Allah.

When they are helpless, they immediately lean on Allah. They rest their backs on Allah. That is the Muslim. From his faith. Because every created being, every created being has a feeling of taking refuge somewhere. A feeling of drawing strength. Women taking refuge in men. Men taking refuge in Allah. If there is no love of Allah in people's hearts, then this feeling, look, where does it go in people now? It goes to associating partners with Allah. These are polytheists anyway. Those who associate partners with Allah.

People turn to beings that will fill the place of this love and feeling, with their own reasoning, that is, with their own minds, steering their own lives, trusting in their children, boasting of relatives and kin; he trusts in them. Taking pride in wealth and property, delighting in their own existence, such feelings they are carried away by, and those carried away by these feelings forget the hereafter. Their world and their life become this world. It becomes this passing, transient world he sees. They can never part from their relatives, their families, their wealth and property. So the Jews, it says, with their relatives, their lineage, went so far, it says, that they began counting the dead in the graves, it says.

They began counting the dead in the graves. It benefits them. Perhaps it will benefit them in the hereafter.

They can never part from their relatives, their families, their wealth and property. So you find the Jewish people, with these feelings, the greediest of people. Towards what? Towards life, towards the world they are grasping. That is, they do not want to lose their life.

Allah Almighty informs us thus of their state, it says. Now we use a word, gentlemen, that leads people into unbelief; they use it a lot, the televisions also use it: so-and-so lost his life. Life does not go; his life span ended. he died, Allah took him within that life span; his life he lost, they say; they cannot say he lost it... he reached the Truth, he went, his life span became eternal with the Truth; he lost his life or lost it; was it in his (?) that he lost it? these are very ignorant and deliberately spoken words. One must pay great attention to words. However much we do not pay attention to these words, the enemies of religion slip them to us. With words like lost and gave up, and similar words, people's feelings towards Allah Almighty are reduced. Their fear disappears, their responsibility vanishes.

If only he knew that every person's death is their return by Allah Almighty's command, by the Truth, to His essence; with the word lost, it is as if it were in his hand and he lost it. Like when a person trades and loses his money. He lost his life. Was it in his hand, to lose it? His life span was that long. He completed himself, proved himself, and according to the verse "every soul shall taste death" of Allah Almighty, they passed on to the hereafter. Now in this case the word lost is one thing; by the command of the Truth, according to Allah Almighty's verse "every soul shall taste death and your return is to your Lord".

The word is another matter; here responsibility begins. I will return to my Lord. Over there, there is no Allah or anything. He lost (?). (?) went into a pit. That is it. There is nothing more anyway. Yes. Some of them, if they had the life, would live a thousand years, reign in sovereignty, with children and family together, in their nafs, whims and pride, in splendour carry on living,

make people say among themselves, this one is a great personage, and never die. These are their feelings. Like whom? With the same feeling, like Korah. He would go out before his people, and boast of his treasures. And the Jews then, the people of Israel, would say, if only we were like Korah. These are what they said in the verse. One day, when he again came out before the Jews in his ornate clothes to boast again, Allah Almighty sinks him into the depths of the earth together with his treasure. This time those who had said, if only we were like him: how good that we were not like him, they began to say.

I repeated the verses here. So these are the grandchildren of those Abu Jahls. What is Abu Jahl? When I say our Abu Jahls, it is not the Abu Jahl of the Prophet's time. Abu Jahl in the sense of the father of the ignorant. The father of the ignorant. These are the grandchildren of the fathers of the ignorant. What was it? Some of them, if they had the life, would live a thousand years, reign in sovereignty, with children and family together, in their nafs, whims and pride, carry on living in splendour, make people say among them, this is a great personage, and never die; for them, ah, this death, living in splendour.

Yes. if they carried on living in splendour, if they lived as they pleased forever. Yes.

Now, if a person reflects a little, no being can live without Allah. It cannot find life. It cannot find life.

If Allah moved away from people,

left them, let us suppose, I am thinking now, we are. Reflection.

There is no death. We grow old. Illness begins. And if our Lord also took away the food He created for us, would He take it? He would. And there is no death. If you moaned and groaned, if you moaned and groaned, who would save you? And there is no death. So, death is a mercy from Allah upon us. Freed from the guise of the body, to our Lord, in the way we were first created, in the realm of Lahut, spirit, nafs and life as one, our return, and again finding life with our Lord. Our clinging to Allah Almighty's attribute al-Hayy. What is the attribute al-Hayy? He gives life to His creatures but has no need of His creatures.

In this case, even if you had a thousand, ten thousand years of life and lived them, you would still live dependent on and in need of what Allah gives you. In this case you will eat and drink what Allah gives, He sent you to the world without purpose, you are not responsible, you will never be called to account, you eat, drink, live as you like, lie in the world as you like (?), then lead a life of pleasure and delight as you like.

That is what they mean.

Yes, we say there is such a life. This life, by winning Allah Almighty's friendship, is in the everlasting hereafter the eternal life of paradise. A life such as they described. Desire and wish in the heart. Everything he wants will happen. Whatever his heart wants, Allah Almighty to him: Alhamdulillah, Yettina wa yettikumullah. Everything he wants, as his heart wishes, according to his rank, He will give what he desires. So where is this place? In the hereafter. After death, in return for the good of the actual deeds you did in the world, your longing and love for your Lord and your carrying out His command, what is it?

Your Lord's promise to you. According to the verse "who is truer to his word than Allah", He will grant you His paradise.

With the desire and wish of people who forget Allah, of polytheists, of those who turn their backs on Allah, to live so long in this world, no person can be removed from the fire, and they cannot attain the paradises they dream of. Yes.

Allah sees fully what they do. In the verse where He says this, nothing is hidden from our Lord. Their whispering among themselves, their making plans against people and applying them when the time comes, just as it increases their wrong against their own selves, it takes nothing away from their sins, on the contrary they earn sin; Allah Almighty informs us of this. Now, a word we said. What do we say here? Do sins decrease? We said. Yes, sins decrease in Allah's sight. How do they decrease? Sin does not multiply unless sin is committed. how does sin decrease? A person knows Allah Almighty as Allah, makes a mistake, and because of the mistake he made, he takes refuge in Allah from the sin he committed and repents; then Allah Almighty accepts people's repentance, forgives their sins with His attribute al-Ghaffar, and with His attribute al-Sattar covers and conceals their sins.

What happened? It decreased, the sin went. The sins went. Well, why does Allah Almighty both make us commit sin, that is, He does not make us, we commit sin, and our sins He accepts?

Why? Have we ever thought about this? We commit sins. And when we repent, Allah Almighty forgives.

Allah Almighty gave man from His spirit. Man was a part of his Lord. In this case, the traits our Lord does not wish to see are in man. Fame, renown, pride, arrogance, grandeur, ego, everything is there. Love of the world. In this case, so that man could be in need of Allah, He created his reason incomplete. He gave him incomplete reason. Had He given him complete reason, he too would know the secret of creation. The secret of creation. Because the universal reason is Allah Almighty. Now, there are some poor literalists, what do they say? He ascribed attributes to Allah. Well, if Allah Almighty has no reason, how did He make this? How did He run these programmes?

How did He create these worlds? No reason. Well, the universal life is Allah Almighty. The lives are not like that. Again, like a magnet drawing dust, He draws and takes the lives. Since spirit, nafs and life are one, the universal spirit is also Allah Almighty. In this case, so that man would not be a partner to his Lord, not an equal, although he is close to his Lord's essence, his reason became incomplete; this time he will make mistakes, man. How is this so? He will make mistakes, unknowingly or knowingly. Then he will repent, know his Lord as Lord, as Creator, take refuge in his Lord. He will regret what he did, he will repent.

And since it accords with the way Allah Almighty created him, reason was incomplete, he followed his nafs too, there is a period of ignorance. Then he knew his Lord, turned to his Lord, asked for pardon and forgiveness. So since it accords with Allah's purpose of creation, his life in his period of ignorance or his sin He grants him, forgives him. On condition of not doing (?).

What has He done? Allah Almighty forgives us our sins.

And in this way we attain Allah Almighty's mercy. So these polytheists, since they do not know Allah, do not turn to our Lord and repent; when they do not, their sins never decrease, and since everything they do is evident to Allah Almighty, He sees them fully. Not only the polytheists and sinners; in all these worlds, from the atom to the globe, whatever there is, He sees them too and knows their states. Yes.
