Tafsir
It is narrated that Abdullah Bin Syria, one of the rabbis of Fadak, came to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and argued with him about religious knowledge and asked the Holy Prophet. When the Holy Prophet replied Gabriel, Abdullah Bin Syria said, "He is our enemy, we would have believed if someone else had brought it to us" and left the Holy Prophet in a huff. Thereupon this verse was revealed. Whoever is hostile to Gabriel is an intermediary. He is the one who brought the Qur'an to you, verse by verse, from Sidre-i Muntaha by Allah's permission.
What is meant here by "He is sending down" is that Allah the Almighty Himself brings the revelation to the Prophet in the worldly realm, as we have explained in the previous line, by Jibril Amin receiving the Verses of the revelation from Sidre-i Munteha. In fact, Allah (swt) has established this order and tied everything to a reason. In this case, the reason for their enmity against Gabriel is that he brought revelation to other prophets and they explained it to their people and it was contrary to their own lives and meanings, so they became enemies of Gabriel who brought the revelation. It is, of course, a reaction to the fact that they are enemies of God.
This is such a Book! He has sent it down into your heart as a mercy to the worlds, confirming the previous Book and the Prophets, giving life to all beings, and giving glad tidings of Paradise to the believers. That is, Allah revealed it. In this case, those who are enemies of Gabriel are in fact enemies of Allah and have wronged their own souls and are enemies of themselves. The other meaning of "He sent it down" is that Allah (swt) sent down the Holy Quran on the night of Qadr to the place called Qadr on the Sidre-i Munteha and from there Gabriel (Gabriel) took it verse by verse and brought it to the Prophet (pbuh).
What is said in the video
We continue our lesson.
Verse 97 of Surah Al-Baqarah.
Say: whoever is an enemy to Gabriel,
what was sent down to your heart, confirming what is between his hands, as guidance and glad tidings for the believers, surely by Allah's leave he has brought it. Is there a translation of the Quran here? Give it to me. Here we correct a verse that is wrongly explained.
The translation?
Well. Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel, let him know well that by Allah's leave he has sent down the Quran to your heart as a guide to right guidance, confirming the scriptures that came before, and as glad tidings for the believers he has sent it down. Who sent it down? Gabriel. Tell that to the back of my ear. Tell that to the back of my ear.
Look, I read the verse once more. God forbid, Allah protect us. That Gabriel cannot send down anything. Sending down, do you know what it is? Just as you download some programmes to your computer out of the air. Allah Almighty too, outside time and space, makes it known to the heart of the Prophet. Let me read the verse once more. Say: whoever is an enemy to Gabriel, let him know well that by Allah's leave he has sent down the Quran to your heart, as a guide to right guidance, confirming the scriptures that came before, and as glad tidings for the believers. Gentlemen, ladies, my children who listen to me, Gabriel cannot send anything down into the human heart.
Gabriel cannot give revelation. He knows revelation, he cannot give revelation. Pay attention to the words. Revelation comes. Revelation is the Quran. (?) takes it from the Sidrat al-Muntaha and brings it to the Prophet. But not to his heart. The correct version is: say, whoever is an enemy to Gabriel, what was sent down to your heart, who sent it down? Allah Almighty. Confirming what is between his hands, as guidance and glad tidings for the believers, surely by Allah's leave he has brought it. He did not send it down to the heart, he brought it. What his hands hold, it says, look. what is he holding between his hands?
The Quran. Let us read it once more: say, whoever is an enemy to Gabriel, what was sent down to your heart, who sends it down? The Quran. What does Allah Almighty say here? Say: whoever is an enemy to Gabriel, let him know well that by Allah's leave he has sent down the Quran to your heart as a guide to right guidance. Here the speech now changes. To your heart as a guide to right guidance. It points to Gabriel (peace be upon him). Here: say, whoever is an enemy to Gabriel, what was sent down to your heart, what is between his hands, he will confirm. He will confirm. As guidance and glad tidings for the believers, surely by Allah's leave he has brought it. Not sending down; he has brought it.
From where? From the Sidrat al-Muntaha. Well, it makes this known. Here, here there is (?).
He will give glad tidings; he sent it down. He sent it down; even if we put "he brought it" there. Look now, what does it say? According to a report, Abdullah ibn Suriya, of the rabbis of Fadak, argued with our Prophet. He asked him who brought him the revelation. When he said Gabriel: he is our enemy. If someone else had brought it, we would have believed, he said. Thereupon it was revealed. This is correct. He has brought it. Who brings it to you? Gabriel brings it. But who gives it beforehand? Allah Almighty, to his heart with revelation; revelation, what is revelation? Revelation, look, gentlemen, let us explain it to you.
Revelation is Allah Almighty sending down, by way of communication, the verses of the Quran to the heart of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Revelation. And with this verse of Allah Almighty, it is plainly evident that revelation is sent down by Allah alone to the Prophet's heart. Which verse is this? The Quran is purely a revelation, it says. What does it say? The Quran is purely revelation. What does this mean, purely a revelation? All people have a frequency. This, Allah knows best. Allah Almighty alone making it known to each person's heart through that frequency. Which no one can interfere with, into which no being enters or can enter, purely, by Allah alone, the giving of the verses to his heart.
In this case, how could Gabriel give revelation to his heart?
Where would this verse be left? It was purely a revelation. Then it got mixed. Gabriel came in between too. Is the Quran not the word of Allah? So is this Gabriel's word? In this case Gabriel (peace be upon him) gave revelation. He sent it down to his heart. Allah protect us. That is what they do. They made a soup of the whole Quran like this. Soup. They mixed it up. And after that they built a building on some wrong foundations. When these are told to people this way, people will of course go astray. They will turn to wrong information. Come on now, if Gabriel sent it down, send me a verse contrary to these verses.
Show it. Come on, show it. If this is the word of Allah, and Allah is beyond time and space, beyond, well, did Gabriel go outside time and space, take it from Allah Almighty and bring it? Allah protect us. Well, did Gabriel (peace be upon him) know the signal Allah Almighty would give to the human heart, and did he make those signals known by revelation to the heart of Allah's Prophet? I repent, I seek Allah's forgiveness. This is the lack of knowledge in people. Wrong words.
We write the report the same way. As we read it, upon this, this verse is sent down. Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel, he is an intermediary. An intermediary. Yet by Allah's leave, with the revelation he received from Allah, he sends the Quran down to your heart, they say. Not to his heart; they give it to him. Yes.
Here, what is meant by "he sends it down" is its being given to the heart by revelation by Allah Almighty Himself, and the Prophet, in this world, receiving the verses of revelation from Gabriel the Trustworthy. Receiving the verses of revelation. And what did the Prophet use to say? I like Gabriel's (peace be upon him) reciting very much, he used to say. Why did he recite to him? To support what came to his heart, so it would be supported. That is, the verses, from Allah Almighty Himself, through Gabriel's (peace be upon him) recitation too finding support.
In fact it is Allah Almighty, who ties everything to a cause, setting up this order thus and tying it to a cause. So the reason for their enmity to Gabriel is that he brought revelation to the other prophets as well, and the prophets told it to their peoples, and since it ran against those people's own way of life and understanding, they became enemies of Gabriel, who brought the revelation. Naturally, it is a reaction stemming from their enmity to Allah. What was it? A reaction of their enmity to Allah.
This is such a book that, drowning the worlds in mercy, the preceding books and prophets confirming, giving life to all beings, and to those who believe, to the believers, the paradises confirming, confirming with paradise, giving life to all beings, and bringing glad tidings of paradise to those who believe, to the believers, he sent it down to your heart. That is, he brought it. So whoever is an enemy to Gabriel, consequently, since he is an enemy to Allah, has in fact wronged his own self and been an enemy to himself. The other meaning of "he sent it down": Allah Almighty sending the Quran down on the Night of Qadr to the place called Qadr at the Sidrat al-Muntaha, and from there Gabriel (peace be upon him) taking the verses, verse by verse, and to the Prophet (peace be upon him) bringing them.
Sending it down from there, that is. From where? At the Sidrat al-Muntaha.
