Tafsir
Hazrat Ibrahim is a prophet who was blessed with the title of prophethood in the hereafter and who has the characteristics of a prophet. In this respect, when Allah (swt) says "surrender to my command" and Ibrahim says "I have surrendered to the Lord of the worlds", Allah (swt) reminds Ibrahim of his covenant in the Hereafter while he is in the worldly realm and informs people what a beautiful covenant he has made. In this case, Allah will test him with a beautiful test that will be remembered by the worlds.
Hazrat Abraham was born in Urfa. His parents and the people of that region were pagans. They worshipped idols. One day the people of the city went to the fair for shopping and the city remained empty. Hazrat Ibrahim took an axe in his hand, broke all the idols in the square and left the great idol intact. He put the axe next to the great idol. When the people of the city returning from the fair saw that the idols were broken, they immediately gathered together, informing each other. They look for the one who broke the idols and decide among themselves. They say that if anyone can break these idols, it is Abraham and they call Hazrat Abraham. They ask him why he broke the idols. Hazrat Ibrahim said that if anyone could break the idols, it was that great idol. Then the idolaters said, "How can this great idol you showed, which is both lifeless and cannot even move, break these idols? Then Hazrat Ibrahim said, "Why do you worship these stones and earths which you made with your own hands and which cannot even protect themselves? They said, "We found our ancestors on this path" and decided to throw Hazrat Ibrahim into the fire. A big fire is lit and they throw Hazrat Ibrahim into the middle of the fire with a catapult. Allah (swt) commanded the fire (to be cool and peaceful) and the fire did not burn Hazrat Ibrahim and the middle of the fire where Hazrat Ibrahim was, became green and rosy. Some people who saw this event believed in Hazrat Ibrahim. But those in whose hearts the love of disbelief has taken root have continued in idolatry.
It is with such a submission and such a difficult test that our Lord made him remembered as a beautiful example for the worlds and showed him as an example. May Allah (swt) add us all to His servants who know Allah (swt), serve Allah (swt) and surrender to Allah (swt) and consent to what comes from Allah (swt).
What is said in the video
We come to Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 131; we had stopped there.
His Lord said to him, submit to My command. To whom? To Abraham. Submit to My command, He said. And he said, I have submitted to the Lord of the worlds. Now let us open this up a little.
To what I have written, it will be a support. So that it is understood better.
Allah Almighty, the light of the Prophet (peace be upon him) to His light, then, when He gave his spirit, gave his spirit from His Spirit. From his spirit, from the spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him), He created the spirits of the prophets. Now, may the comparison not be faulty; I say it so that we understand. This: take this as the (?) of the Prophet (peace be upon him), his spirit. From this a part: He creates the spirit of one prophet. A part: He creates the spirit of one prophet. According to one narration, 124,000 prophets have come. 124,000, according to one narration. And the spirits of the 124,000 prophets too are given from the spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
From his spirit. In this respect the Prophet (peace be upon him) can appear in the form of 124,000 prophets. And since all people are a part of our Lord, from His Spirit, Allah Almighty too readily changes form with all people and with more than those people. That is why He says, however you see Me, I (?). In that case. And the spirits of the prophets, which He took from the spirit of the Prophet, are the first created. What do these first created say? But look, they are not created from one another. He took one, the first He created; let's say He created the spirit of our father Adam. From his spirit He did not create anyone else.
Let's say after that a prophet A came. Again from the spirit of the Prophet. Another prophet came. Prophet B came. He too from the spirit of the Prophet. Because all the prophets, being from the spirit of the Prophet, are the first created, they say, we are the first of Islam. In that case. And Allah Almighty made a covenant with them, because He created them first. I will send you to your people as both (?) and (?). Do you accept this? Yes. I do. Because there is no other. He. Yes. Of his own consent. So these are the prophets. The first created. And they are the ones who submitted to their Lord's command right there, at the covenant.
That is why Allah Almighty says the prophets, coming from one another's loins, are a single community. The prophets. And they are (?), He says. (?) is pure. Now his Lord said to him, submit to My command. Yes. And he said, I have submitted to the Lord of the worlds. Of course, he will come to the world for the test. He will act out here the script written there. Yes. Now we explain it. The way I explained it, this will be understood a little better, inshallah. Abraham was honored with prophethood in the realm of the Hereafter. He is a prophet who possesses the qualities of prophethood. In this respect, Allah Almighty saying, submit to My command, and Abraham saying, I have submitted to the Lord of the worlds: with this, reminding Abraham, while in this world, of his covenant in the realm of the Hereafter, He also tells people what a beautiful covenant he gave.
and there.
In this case Allah Almighty, with a beautiful test to be remembered by the worlds, tests him. With a beautiful test. Now He says, submit to My command. I have submitted, he says. How will it be? Proof is needed. Proof. So he is born in Urfa. Nimrod declares himself a god. and they worship idols. They also worship idols. Abraham breaks the idols, and they throw him into the fire with a catapult. But he never compromises on Allah. That is a great test. Now let us read this part here and all listen together. Abraham was born in Urfa. His parents and the people of that region were idolaters. They used to worship idols.
One day the townspeople go to the fair to shop, and the town is left empty. A fair is held once a year. Abraham waits for the opportunity of them going to that fair. So when the people left the town empty and went to the fairs to shop, Abraham breaks the idols and puts the axe next to the big idol. Abraham takes the axe in his hand, breaks the (?) idols, and the big idol he leaves intact. And he puts the axe next to the big idol. When the townspeople coming back from the fair see the idols broken, they inform one another and gather at once. The idols: those people who know nothing of themselves, what they created with their own hands; Allah's creations, what people with their own hands made, yes, made with their own hands; making Allah's creations with their own hands and accepting things unaware of themselves as gods over them: wretched people.
Are there still not (?)? Still.
Are there not those who make some others gods over themselves? Is there no one who makes Satan a god over himself? Yes.
They gather at once. They look for whoever broke the idols, and they decide among themselves. If anyone broke these idols, it was Abraham, they say, and they summon Abraham. They ask him why he broke the idols. Abraham says, if anyone broke the idols, this big idol broke them, he says. Thereupon the idolaters say, this big idol you point to is both lifeless and cannot even move. How could it break these idols, they say. How well they speak. How well they expose their ignorance. So too, when people put their finger on matters they do not know, they expose their ignorance so well. Say nothing that you do not know.
And if you say something you do not know, those people learn it too. As long as they go by it, sin comes to you. Even as long as he teaches it, and as long as the one he taught teaches it, until his line ends, sin comes to you.
Why am I saying this, why am I saying it? When the time comes, some things have to be opened up. When the time comes, believe me, my heart burns. I mean, this heart of mine truly burns. Why does it burn? Under the name of Islamic sites, an Islamic site, these attribute spirits to cats, dogs, even birds, and to all plants too, they give them. Spirits. These too supposedly have spirits. And so nicely, with ornate words from Ahmet and Mehmet, they put it together from this one's and that one's books. I said this before too. With unrelated things, (?), trying to reconcile this with that and trying to tell them something.
And these are Islamic sites.
Truly. Wake up, wake up. O Islamic sites, listen. O Islamic sites, listen. Listen for the sake of Allah. Listen, and do not lose your heads through the passion to be heads in this world. Listen. Know the truth. Go by the verses. Go by the verses. With these (?). Not by the book of Ahmet or Mehmet. Not by the ideas of this one or that one. First read your own book. Your own book is the book of Allah. Learn it, know it.
Yes.
If you know something, speak on the subject you know, teach it to people. The subject you know. Do not put your finger on subjects you do not know.
To the idols: if anyone broke the idols, this big idol broke them, he says. The big idol broke them, Abraham says. Thereupon the idolaters say, this big idol you point to is lifeless and cannot even move. How could it break these idols, they say. Thereupon Abraham: these stones and clay you make with your own hands, which cannot even protect themselves, why do you worship them? They say, we found our forefathers on this way. And they decide to throw Abraham into the fire. A great fire is lit. Abraham is hurled into the middle of the fire with a catapult. Allah Almighty says to the fire, be cool and safe.
Why cool and safe? The cool, the cold too, burns. At minus 60 to 70 degrees, if you hold a piece of iron, it burns your hand, your hand sticks to it. Well, be cool and safe. Not only did the fire not burn Abraham, the middle of the fire where he was became a rose garden, lush and green. Some people who saw this event believed in Abraham. But those in whose hearts the love of unbelief had settled continued in idolatry. Such is this submission, such a hard test, and our Lord making him remembered by the worlds as a beautiful example, and showing him as an example. May Allah Almighty include all of us among His servants who know Him, serve Him, submit to Allah, and are content with all that comes from Allah.
Amen. Now, about when he was thrown into the fire, there is a story they tell. A story, a beautiful story, it is a narration, yes, a beautiful story: when they threw Abraham into the fire, a nightingale hurls itself toward the fire. Allah Almighty to Gabriel the Trustworthy gives a command. He catches the nightingale.
At once Gabriel the Trustworthy catches the nightingale. O Gabriel, ask it why it is throwing itself into the fire.
Tell, He says. Does our Lord not know? Of course He knows. Until the Day of Judgment there is not a single living being, He says, of which We do not know what it will do. In this case Gabriel asks. O nightingale, why did you throw yourself into the fire? The nightingale answers.
But who are you? I do not know, it says. Who are you? I do not know who you are, but
a Messenger of Allah, a beloved of Allah, His Habib, His Khalil: if these people do not know his worth and throw him into the fire and torment him and burn him, then I, as a being created by my Lord, if I (?) die without feeling the pain he suffers, woe to me too, it says. Then I fear that Allah Almighty will send a calamity upon them, and I too will be struck by that calamity. That is why, it says, so that I too feel the pain he suffers, so that I am with him, so that I attain my Lord's mercy, it says, I too wanted to throw myself into the fire with him, it says. But you held me back, it says.
Thereupon Allah Almighty commands Gabriel (?) again. Tell, what does it want from Me?
Gabriel says. O nightingale, do you have a wish from your Lord? I do, it says. (?) to you it will be given, it will be fulfilled. What is your wish? I know a few names of my Lord, it says, and I remember Him with them. I heard that He has many names, a thousand and one names. I want to know them and remember Him with those names. Allah Almighty to Gabriel the Trustworthy: O Gabriel, teach it My names, He says. And truly, that is why it is called 'bülbül'. The reason for 'bülbül': the one who remembers its Lord's names, the nightingale. And it is a poet singing by night, a poet singing by day; it sings in many ways, the blessed one.
Truly, its voice is full of feeling too. Yes, so if people do not know the worth of Allah's creations, of the precious people He created, Allah Almighty gives them various calamities. That is why people are to use their minds. Above all, this mind. That is why, what does Allah Almighty say? Allah Almighty: do you never use your minds? Do you never reflect? Yes. Thus Allah Almighty says it with His verses. Yes.
