Tafsir
Allah (swt) creates events so that the Verses can be better understood, and He explains His Verses to people more beautifully by creating events, by creating events, because He intends to send down the Verses on these events and to warn people, to warn people, to show the right path on the straight path and to give life to people.
Ibn Abbas narrates this verse as follows. This verse was revealed about Suheyb bin Sinan er Rumi. This distinguished Companion was a man who had converted to Islam, purified himself from false beliefs and idol worship, and embraced the light of Islam. The polytheists of Mecca captured this distinguished person and tortured him to make him renounce his religion. This blessed person said to the Meccan polytheists. I am an old man and I am of no use to you or your enemies. No harm will come to you from me either. He says, "I have goods, I can sell them to you in exchange for my religion. My property is yours, and you do not interfere with my religion. Upon this, the Meccan polytheists accepted the offer. They release Suhayb bin Sinan er Rumi.
This verse was revealed while this person was on his way from Mecca to Madinah Munawwara. When Suheyb bin Sinan er Rumi entered Madinah, he met Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq said, "May your shopping be profitable, O Suheyb. And Suheyb said, "Don't let him make a loss in your shopping.
The people on earth who are acquainted with Islam, those who know the existence of Allah (swt) intimately, give for Allah (swt) regardless of wealth and property. As long as Allah is pleased with them.
Who are the Companions? The Companions are those who have been blessed with Allah's Jannah. Some commentators say that those who saw the Prophet (s.a.w.) are Companions. This is wrong. Abu Jahl and Abu Lahabs also saw the Prophet (SAW), are they also Companions? They can never be Companions.
The Companions are the ones who are aware of the manifestation of Allah (swt). These are the people who know that Allah is the owner of all this wealth and believe that we will return to Him, who know that all this creation belongs to Allah, and who do not hesitate to give Allah's wealth to Allah.
Allah (swt) is kind to such people. He loves, protects and protects them. He sustains the worlds for their sake.
What is said in the video
We have come to verse 207 of Surah Al-Baqarah.
Among people there are also those who
sacrifice themselves and their wealth to gain Allah's pleasure. Look how beautiful. He sacrifices himself and his wealth. How will he sacrifice himself? You will fight for Allah's religion, for your homeland, your nation, your honor and your religion.
If they attack you. If they don't attack, you will keep an air of peace and festivity on earth. Peace. But if you suffer an assault, an assault, let us not be like the ones we have seen before us. Let us not fail to stand up to those soldiers like the people in Iraq. Even Allah fought, Allah. He helped you, you. With those desert storms. But you left and went away. You left and went away. Look, our ancestors, look, for Atatürk, until 10 million people were left, they fought. 10 million people, Turkey, the Turks, fought until 10 million people were left. But look what our Lord says. Allah first takes the martyrs from you, it says.
He loves them; He takes those martyrs. So don't be afraid, thinking I'm being defeated because of those who died first. Their help will also come to you from behind. The help of those martyrs will also come to you from behind. So even if it is not 10 million but five million, even if you remain alone, you will not surrender your flag and your banner. Look, at Çanakkale there is the Sancaklı Baba. He was the only one left, hoping help would come from behind. Then he saw there was no way out. No one was coming either. So as not to surrender that banner, he swallowed it and swallowed it and died. They call him Sancaklı Baba, the banner father.
So as not to surrender the banner.
Our ancestors, our elders became a guide for us at Çanakkale. Yes.
So he sacrifices himself and his wealth to gain Allah's pleasure. Allah is compassionate to His servants, it says. Such people sacrifice both their wealth and their lives for Allah. And among us people there are those who, to gain Allah's pleasure, sacrifice themselves and their wealth. Himself, when you are attacked, on the battlefields, his life; and his wealth too for Allah, to the needy, to the stranded traveler, to the orphan; when the state goes to war he gives it to the state treasury to buy weapons. If you don't give, and that state is defeated, you will have neither honor nor property left.
Yes. So those people strive with their wealth and their lives.
So that the verses are understood better, Allah Almighty, creating events, wills to send down the verses upon these events and to warn people, alerting them, to show the sirat-i mustaqim, the right path, and to grant people life; therefore, constantly bringing people comparisons, creating events, He explains His verses better to people. We said. Yes, so it was. He would create an event. Within that event Allah Almighty would send the verse. So Ibn Abbas narrates this verse as follows. This verse was revealed about Suhayb ibn Sinan ar-Rumi. This honorable, distinguished companion became Muslim, cleansed of false beliefs, of worshipping idols, and was honored with the light of Islam.
Yes.
The polytheists of Mecca seize this distinguished person and torture him to make him leave his religion. Let go. This blessed, honorable man says this to the Meccan polytheists. I am an old man. I am of no use to you nor to your enemies. Neither to you nor to your enemies. No harm will come to you from me either. Because he is old. I have property too, he says. I have property. I can sell you this property of mine in exchange for the religion I believe in, he says. I sell my property in exchange for the religion I believe in. Let my property be yours. And you don't interfere with my religion, he says.
Thereupon the Meccan polytheists accept the offer. They set Suhayb ibn Sinan ar-Rumi free. They take his property from him.
People's eyes fill with tears. They are an example to us, an example. By Allah, when one lives it, the bridge of one's nose aches. By Allah, it aches. It is as if a needle were drawn across one's eyes. Yes. These are human too. They are no different from us. We are human too. Allah did not create people different. Beliefs differ, beliefs. Beliefs differ.
This is our (?). While he sets out from Mecca and comes to Medina the Radiant, this verse is revealed. When Suhayb ibn Sinan ar-Rumi enters Medina the Radiant, he meets Abu Bakr as-Siddiq. Abu Bakr as-Siddiq: may your trade be profitable, O Suhayb. O, may your trade be profitable. What did he do? He sold his property for his religion. Yes.
And Suhayb says: may your trade not suffer a loss either. To me. So the people on earth honored with Islam, who know Allah Almighty's existence with certainty, without regard to wealth and property, for Allah give. As long as Allah is pleased with them. Yes.
Now, whom do they call sahaba? People confuse sahaba and ashab. Yes. Ashab are those who were with the Prophet (peace be upon him); sahaba are those who have grasped the manifestations of Allah Almighty. Yes. That is why, pay attention to the hadith. My companions are like the stars in the sky. Whichever of them you follow, you will find the truth.
People cannot understand these hadiths. Only those who live it know. What does it say? Let me say it once more. My companions are like the stars in the sky. Whichever of them you follow, you will find the truth. If the companions had been only in his time, only in the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), then according to the verse 'he does not speak idly', he would have spoken idly. It stayed in the past. The companions are over. Yet the sahaba will continue until the Day of Judgment. Allah Almighty will manifest to servants, and those servants will to people explain Allah. Whoever follows such people as these finds the truth, it says.
Do you see the hadith? The hadith.
The Hodja denies the hadith. God forbid. You know how they say that. Hopefully they have regretted what they said.
Yes.
Whom do they call sahaba? we say. Those honored with the beauty of Allah Almighty are called sahaba. Some commentators say those who saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) are sahaba. This is wrong; the Abu Jahls and Abu Lahabs too saw the Prophet (peace be upon him). These too? They are sahaba? Never. They cannot be sahaba. Because they have not grasped the manifestations. They are not honored with the light of Islam. Those honored with the light of Islam, immediately (?), to the Prophet those who pledged allegiance, as befits the Prophet's dignity, would immediately grasp the manifestations. So they would become sahaba.
Yes. So the sahaba are those who have grasped the manifestations of Allah Almighty. They know that the owner of all this existence is Allah. And they are people who believe that our return will be to Him. He knows that all these created worlds belong to Allah. They are people who do not shrink from giving Allah's name to Allah.
So Allah Almighty is compassionate toward such people. He loves them very much, shelters and protects them. Protects. Because as he draws closer to Allah, if he draws one step closer, Allah two steps; if he approaches Him walking, to him running; him, if a person (?) himself, Allah Almighty says, I (?) him in such a gathering that I (?) him in a better gathering, He says. Yes. For their sake He keeps the worlds standing. These, like pearls, from the earth until the Day of Judgment will keep coming. Like pearls. Like the stars. What does it say? (?) are like the stars in the sky. Is the sky ever short of stars?
They shine. In the darkness of the night. So, people who shine with the light of the verses against superstitions. Yes.
