The infidels are attracted to the worldly life and they mock the believers. Yet, those who abstain (from sins) are superior to them on the Day of Judgment. Allah gives countless provisions to those who desire from Allah.
Tafsir
(The life of this world is adorned for the disbelievers) because these are the ones who have the love of disbelief in their hearts. Those who do what Allah (swt) says not to do are attached to the world. Allah (swt) created man very honorable, so He taught him what he did not know in order to give him dignity and honor. He sent prophets and books. Those who follow them, those who obey Allah and His Messenger, do not do what Allah says not to do. They don't covet people's honor, they don't commit adultery, they don't kill people, they observe the haram, they don't cheat people, they don't victimize people.
People who live with these things in mind are the objects of ridicule in the presence of those who live otherwise. Who are these mockers? Those who do not know Allah, the Book or the Prophet, those who seek their life in lust, gambling, drinking, those who do not pay attention to halal and haram, those who boast of the people they swindle, those who boast of oppressing weak people in the presence of their cronies, those who have an inferiority complex and think that they are protecting their honor and dignity and becoming great by doing these things.
So what if these people mock those who believe, and what if they do not? These are the disgraceful people among people. In a verse, Allah (swt) says, "They are like the four-legged beasts that walk on the earth". These are the people to be ridiculed. In a hadith, our Prophet says, "A believer is the mirror of people". If only those mocking people knew that when they see such believers who believe and live the truth, they are mocking themselves.
To people who have denied the truth and live in this way, the world looks very attractive. The world is their life and soul. In this respect, they do not want to leave the world. They resent those who remind them of death and they covet worldly goods as if they will never die. They are people who have forgotten their Lord, who have taken the wealth created by Him as a deity, who are running after the world, who have actually put the world's halter around the neck of such people, who have become slaves of the world. To such people, the world is pink as dust. And everything they do is for this worldly life.
(Whereas the owners of piety (who believe) are above them on the Day of Resurrection). Allah has the attribute of judgment. He will surely distinguish between those who obey Him and those who do not.
A group of people who rebel against Allah, their Creator, do not do what He tells them to do, do not follow what their nafs likes, do not fulfill their duty of servitude, and worse than that, deny Allah and His Messenger, the Holy Qur'an, with such a group! Opposite to this is a group of people who know their Creator as Lord, who hold fast to the laws of their Creator, who fear Allah, do what He tells them to do, and do not do what He tells them not to do. Are these two groups equal when they will be held to account before their Creator in the Court-i Kübra? O people! If you were given the title of Judge, which group would you favor over which group and which group would you give rights to? Allah, as the Judge of Judges, says in His verse: "But those who believe, those who avoid disbelief, are above them on the Day of Resurrection.
(Allah gives provision to those who ask for it (within their destiny) without calculation) Allah created the worlds for mankind. Allah (swt) does not need these creations, He is free from them. All these creations have been created for human beings. If only people knew that Allah (swt) is the owner of this universe and that one day they will be held accountable before Him, if only they could recognize the Creator of these goods and not the wealth created, and if only they could turn to Allah (swt), then they would have life and salvation.
If only people, in whatever state they may be, whether they are idolaters, Mohammedans or enemies of Allah, could realize their place in the sight of their Lord and the incalculable sustenance that Allah will provide for them the moment they repent of their ignorant disbelief and turn to their Lord.
Because Allah loves and protects people, people ask Allah for many goods, and they ask for many things. However, those things may not benefit that person. Because people do not know the future, they ask for many things which they do not know whether they will be good or bad for them. Because Allah (swt) protects people, He does not give them wealth that they are not destined for. Because people are very impatient, they say, "I asked Allah and He did not give it to me," and they call Allah names. However, Allah has not given for the benefit of the people because He is protecting them. Therefore, no one can call Allah to account and say that you gave me this or you gave someone else this. He has given human beings a lifetime and they live their lives within their destiny. Allah distributes sustenance in such a way that no one can call Allah to account.
What is said in the video
We say, Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 2 212.
The life of this world appeared adorned to the disbelievers, and they mock those who believe. Now, we have corrected this verse. This verse has been interpreted wrongly. Verse 212 of Surah Al-Baqarah has been interpreted wrongly. What does it say in verse 212? For those who disbelieve, the life of this world has been made attractive, it says. That is, attractive: Allah Almighty made the life of this world attractive to the disbeliever, it has been made attractive, it says. And if You made it so, he cannot escape it. Whereas every person has what his own nafs desires. He will be called to account for what his own nafs desires.
So what do we say? We have corrected it. The life of this world appeared adorned to the disbelievers, and they mock those who believe. It appeared adorned to them. Not: it is made attractive to the disbelievers. That is different. I mean, it being made beautiful to them directly is one thing. Their seeing the world as beautiful is another. In one, as a fait accompli, the world has been made to look beautiful to them. That is, it has been shown as beautiful. In the other, it is people's inclination toward the world. Because they denied Allah. Yes. They mock those who believe. Whereas the believers, the God-fearing, are above them on the Day of Judgment, says Allah Almighty.
And there is a second mistake in that verse. What does it say there? Allah gives provision without measure to whom He wills, it says. To whom He wills. This is wrong. Allah does not give provision without measure to whom He wills. To the one who wishes, the one who wishes, within his will, within his will, our Lord gives his provision. His provision. If Allah Almighty had given a person provision without measure, He would contradict this verse. Pay close attention.
What does it say in the verse? Does man think that everything he wants will be given to him? So, in people's destiny within the will of Allah Almighty, our Lord, within that destiny, whatever provision they are to receive, whatever calamities are to befall them, without going beyond them, gives that provision and those calamities, or good, to those people.
So, that why does Allah Almighty not go beyond his destiny? Why does He not go beyond that person's wish and desire and give him a greater calamity? We will not be able to bear (?). Because We do not strike your back either, He says. That is the load he could not bear outside his wish and desire. Allah does not make (?) for him. So what does it say in a verse? Did you think you would die without proving what kind of person you are, it says. These are the provisions our Lord will give us within my destiny. Yes.
So this is not provision without measure. He gives his provision. Yes.
The life of this world appeared adorned to the disbelievers. Because these are the ones who hold the love of kufr in their hearts. The life of this world. In Eveli Berzat, in the realm of lahut, when they made the covenant, in the address 'Alastu bi-Rabbikum', when they made the covenant with Allah Almighty, these waited for a Lord according to their own imaginations. According to their own imaginations. Because in their imagination the Lord who created them resembled themselves, he could not know Allah Almighty as Allah; for the Lord he (?) in his own imagination he waited. In this respect too he was in pride, arrogance and grandeur.
So that arrogance and pride of theirs, that grandeur of theirs, prevented them from knowing Allah Almighty as Allah.
So, since a Lord did not appear before them as a ghost, they, since they know in this world that they were created by a Lord, make idols and worship. They worship idols. These are the polytheists.
Yes.
Of course people who forget their own Creator, toward the life of this world, will incline, and they, this worldly life, preferring it to the hereafter, their whole living and lives, their paradise will be this world.
Those who do what Allah Almighty said not to do are bound to the world. Allah Almighty's, Allah Almighty created man very honourable. Why did He create him honourable? He gave him of His spirit. In this case the spirit is only in man. Pay close attention. Many Islamic websites, many people, many who pass themselves off as scholars, put a spirit into plants, birds, animals. The spirit is only in man. In this respect too, people are immortal. (?), listen well. When you say immortal, I don't mean the bodies. Since in the hereafter paradise and hell are everlasting, and since we will enter paradise or hell and stay there forever, because we have been honoured with our Lord's spirit, we are eternal.
We are immortal. Not the world. When Allah Almighty says in His verse, We bring you to life twice and cause you to die twice, He means these bodies we carry. Once He brings to life in the world, once He causes to die in the world; in the second, when you come into My presence with a driver, according to the verse, we go into the presence, the body bears witness, after the witnessing, you (?), and there for the second time it tastes death and that becomes earth and is gone. So spirit, nafs and soul are one; the flesh is separate. The flesh. In this case, Allah Almighty created people very honourable.
This honour is because of His spirit He gave him. In the verse: 'Laqad khalaqna al-insana fi ahsani taqwim.' I created man in the most beautiful form, He says. So if the most beautiful form is the form of man, and if people correspond to so many forms, in the verse Allah Almighty says: I am also of the most beautiful attribute. Now, with word games, people, and
with His saying 'I created man in the most beautiful form' and 'I am also of the most beautiful attribute', here they say the attribute is separate. The form is separate. Well, how will you give shape to My attribute? Is this not a form? The form of the people who will come from our father Adam until the Day of Judgment, and more, is the changing of their forms within our Lord's manifestations. The roaming of His spirit. And a person, too, changes several forms since his birth. In this case, because the human spirit is a part from our Lord, that is, because the spirit is a part from our Lord, none of His other creatures has a spirit.
Including the angels. So those who are unaware of these, if they put a spirit into animals and nature, if they put a spirit into plants, unaware of themselves, in contradictions, in superstitions they live. We are trying to cleanse people of these superstitions. We are trying to cleanse them of superstitions. Yes.
Of course these lives, because they have stayed far from their Lord, because the love of kufr is in their hearts, those who turn their backs on Allah Almighty, caught by the attraction of the world, prefer the hereafter to the world. So Allah Almighty created people very honourable. In this respect, to give man his dignity and honour, He taught him what He had not made known. He taught him what he did not know. What He had not made known, what he did not know, He taught. What are the things man did not know? With the verses Allah Almighty makes His shar'i rulings known to us. And with those shar'i rulings, above all the creatures He created, a life He grants us. We protect our honour, our dignity, our self-respect.
Yes, if we are governed by His laws; if we step outside our Lord's laws, here is a verse for you. What does it say? They are like four-legged animals roaming the earth, it says. Even more astray in their going, it says.
Yes.
So Allah Almighty teaches us what we do not know. With what? With the shar'i ruling. Why? Because He created us most honourable. So that we can be worthy of that honour: when our Lord said, I will create a human on earth, and the angels said, will You create a human who will stain the earth with blood, His saying, you do not know what I know; you
do not know what I know, He says; what do they not know? You do not know that I will give man of My spirit and hold him as one addressed by My essence, He says; plus, what do you not know? That for the sake of that human I will create I created these worlds, you do not know. Plus, what do you not know? That from his light, that is, from the light of the Prophet (peace be upon him), who is 'wa ma arsalnaka illa rahmatan lil-alamin', I created you too, you do not know. Yes.
So He taught man what he did not know.
What does it say? Let us look at the verse. These are all words that are the counterparts of the verses. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Ar-Rahman. Allama al-Qur'an. Khalaqa al-insan. Allamahu al-bayan. What does it say? The Most Merciful taught the Quran. He created man, He taught him clear expression. Yes, to man. Allah Almighty taught what he did not know. He sent prophets and books. Those who follow them, who obey Allah and His Messenger, do not do what Allah Almighty said not to do. They do not covet people's honour, they do not commit adultery, they do not kill people, they take care regarding the haram. They do not swindle anyone and put people into a (?) situation.
These are the verses in our Lord's shar'i rulings, by which He holds a light before man.
So the people who live paying attention to these, alongside those whose way of life is otherwise, become an object of mockery. I mean, (?) to the world.
Their existence and self bound to the world like their life, more than their life: such people. Those who measure everything by material things.
Opposite them, the Muslim who has put his trust in Allah, who knows that everything comes from his Lord, who is merciful, who sees his way with Allah's light, who realises that from the world he cannot take even a speck to the hereafter, those who, with feelings of mercy, together with forgiving feelings, open their hearts to people with compassion, in front of those oppressors, become an object of mockery. What do they say? People who live like weeds. Whereas if he only knew the peace in him, if he only knew that this universe is like a dot in his heart, those people, within this universe, turned restlessly between (?), if they knew. So what does Allah Almighty decree in His verse?
Their hearts are restless and scattered, He says. In this vast world, a person with both feet in one shoe, turning between two millstones, to whom the world feels narrow. And the other, the person in whom these worlds have remained like a dot, who has surrendered himself to the Owner of the worlds. Can the two ever be the same? Of course those who bind themselves to the world and give up hope in Allah, people whose hearts are full of hatred and loss toward their Lord, people who, falling into loss in the face of hatred and with an inferiority complex, look for people like their own supporters, finding strength beside their own supporters, the earlier such gentle, compassionate, kind, merciful people they will mock.
Whereas if there is anyone to be mocked, it is himself. So that person he mocks, it says, tomorrow, at the Great Tribunal, on that Day of Reckoning, is above them, says Allah Almighty. Yes. So these people who live paying attention to these, alongside those whose way of life is otherwise, become an object of mockery. Who are these mockers? Those who recognise neither Allah, book nor prophet, who seek their life in lust, in gambling, in drink, who pay no attention to halal and haram, who take pride in the people they swindled, who, for tormenting weak people, are praised by their cronies, who think that by doing these things they protect their honour and dignity and become great, people caught in an inferiority complex.
It is described well, isn't it? People outside Islam.
These people, what if they mock the believers? What if they don't? Among people, these people are the disgrace of humanity. These people are a disgrace among people. A disgrace. Whereas Allah Almighty had created people very honourable. Today, think of a soldier. A soldier with rank. If one of them does an unpleasant deed, he blackens a whole unit. I mean, as if the crime he committed had been committed by all the soldiers, people say, look, look, he is doing this. A police officer, a civil servant, that is, one person in an official channel doing an unpleasant act blackens that group. So because of our creation as human beings, the acts that people do outside our Lord do not become us.
They do not become our creation as human beings.
They, according to our Lord's verse, we find life. What does it say? They are like four-legged animals roaming the earth. That is, those who step outside My command. Those who enter within My command, what does He say? My righteous servants, He says. And in this way our Lord separates us from that group. He separates us from that group. And as human beings, two groups come about. One is the group outside Islam, and one is the group honoured with Islam. The groups outside Islam are also divided among themselves. Yes.
In a verse Allah Almighty: they are like four-legged animals roaming the earth, He decrees. The people who should really be mocked are these. Because they are the disgrace of humanity. People who do not live up to their honour and dignity. In a hadith the Prophet says: the believer is the mirror of the believer. When a person looks at a believer he sees himself in him. Yes. If these mocking people, when they see such believers who have faith and live the truth, knew that they are people mocking themselves.
So to people who have denied the truth and live this way, the world appears very attractive; the world is his life, his soul. In this respect they do not want to leave the world. They get angry at those who remind them of death, and as if they would never die, they are (?), that is, stingy with worldly goods. They have forgotten their Lord and taken the goods He created as their god; that is, they have taken the goods Allah Almighty created as their god, running after the world; in fact they have put the world's halter around their own necks, they are people who have become slaves of the world. To such people the world is rose-tinted.
And everything of theirs is for this worldly life.
Whereas those who believe and guard against denial
are above them on the Day of Judgment, in the hereafter.
Because they know that this world is not everlasting, that everyone came to this world for a test, and that within this test people can take from here to the hereafter good deeds and sins, people who know that they cannot take even (?) to the hereafter, know that in this world they are in a guesthouse. In this case a person knows that Allah has guaranteed his provision. In this case that person, obedient to his Lord, does not step outside Allah's command. So, are those who know and those who do not know ever equal, says Allah Almighty in His verse.
Whereas those who believe and guard against denial are above them on the Day of Judgment too. Allah Almighty has the attribute of being the Judge. That is, He will surely separate the one who obeys Him from the one who does not. Those who obey and those who do not will surely be separated. Yes.
One group rebels against Allah, that is, against its Creator, does not do what He said, runs after what its nafs likes, does not fulfil the duty of servanthood. Worse than this, it also denies Allah, His Messenger and the Holy Quran; and with such people, again, a group that knows its Creator as Lord, clings tightly to its Creator's laws, and, fearing Allah, does what He said to do, and does not do what He said not to do. These two groups, in the presence of the Creator, at the Great Tribunal, when they are called to account, are they equal? O people! If you were given authority with the attribute of judge, which group would you hold above which group?
And which group would you consider right? So Allah, who created these, knows that those who believe and guard against denial are above them on the Day of Judgment.
Allah Almighty gives His provision to whoever asks Him. Yes, Allah Almighty gives His provision to whoever asks Him.
Allah Almighty created the worlds for people. Allah Almighty has no need for these created things. Why does He have no need? Because Allah Almighty has no need for what He created. Allah Almighty has the attribute 'Hayy'. What is this attribute 'Hayy'? All that He created is in need of Allah, but Allah Almighty is not in need of what He created; He is free of them. So all created things subsist within time and space, created things subsist with time and space, whereas Allah Almighty is far above time and space.
Allah Almighty has no need of these things He created, of created things. He is free of what He created. All these created things were created for people. If only people knew that the owner of this universe is Allah Almighty and that in His presence one day they will be called to account, if they knew as one (?) not the created goods but the One who created these goods, and could turn to Allah Almighty, then they would attain life, they would reach salvation.
Indeed, one of them says this to us. He says: you have fallen for the satanic. You are in satanic feelings. Repent, he says. How nicely he says it. (?) And we said to him: this what kind of a devil is it that, an enemy of Allah and His Messenger, this devil who is an enemy of Allah and His Messenger, tries so beautifully to make people love Allah. Is there such a devil, I wonder?
And we also gave him this answer, may he, inshallah, come to his senses. We said, the devil cannot enter our lineage. Our lineage. Because we are spectators. We have no business with the devil.
We stand on a proof that comes from our Lord. We are on the track of the Holy Quran.
Our lineage comes from the Maizzades; they call them the sons of the caliph; they rendered great service to Islam.
We live to serve Islam. And I ask my Lord for such a life. We know neither pride, nor arrogance, nor self-aggrandisement. We tell the truth. In this case, if some words are mixed up with some words, and the superstitions people know as truth settle in people as knowledge, perhaps against the one who tells the truth they will rise up. And this too (?) of what we told you. What do we say? Three groups will come up against us. The first will (?). Look, he says, you are on a satanic path, repent. What kind of satanic path is it that it explains and describes Allah so beautifully? How beautifully this person tells of truth and justice.
Maybe it just seems that way to me, I don't know. You decide. The second, when he sees his knowledge has run out, will fall silent, but will know that this is the truth. And the third, no, we said, will obey. Yes, these groups will come up. We are expecting them anyway. From this I understand the following. When such people say this to us like this, we are made of flesh and bone. However much we say it doesn't affect us, we would be wrong. We are affected. We are affected. When I am affected like this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) immediately comes to my mind. When he too told the truth, in front of those polytheists who said: you are possessed by jinn, you are a madman, come, let us give you the keys of Mecca, let us give you ten wives, let us give you as many camels as you want; if you want, let us take you to the exorcists, to doctors, let us have you treated; despite all this, against these false (?), when his state, in the zeal of telling the truth, comes before my eyes, under what a heavy duty and burden, falsehood speaking to the Prophet (peace be upon him) as if to overcome the truth, and the feelings of the Prophet, can a person feel them? When I live through these, I am crushed between the feelings the Prophet felt toward these people.
It was a very heavy duty. Very heavy.
He struggled alone. Alone. With one Allah behind him. And now, those who tell superstitions claiming it is knowledge, never, never being (?), people who in some way consider something the truth and defend it, I cannot comprehend it, because they lack the ability to compare, try to prevail over the Truth. We say there is no person who makes no mistakes.
He says: how can there be no person who makes no mistakes? You receive inspiration and you also tell lies. This is not inspiration. You don't even know the teacher of Mawlana Rumi. He says. And we say to him: inspiration is one thing. Knowing the father of Ahmet or Mehmet is another. Inspiration is a conversation by way of communication that Allah gives to a person's heart in the face of the verses, and the meaning opens up, meaning by meaning. If people had not committed mistakes, the verse says now: We would destroy them. We would create servants who commit mistakes, He says. Supposedly the one who receives inspiration will never make a mistake.
Supposedly he will know everything. Fine, he will never make a mistake. If Allah is going to make it known to him too. To him. Let this person do whatever he wants in the world; because he receives inspiration, let good deeds and sins be removed. Let him attain Allah's mercy and go.
Look at the thoughts. At wrong thoughts. Now, supposedly a person will never make a mistake because he receives inspiration. Moses killed a man, Jonah fled from his people; these too are prophets.
Now, some who read books, who lick ink, as we say, these ink-lickers are anyway (?), to them the (?) worlds, (?) of Quranic knowledge. But if the one who says this is listening to us, I neither expose who he is nor say it. I'm not saying it to him either. He makes all people speak. He tells me what people would say. That is, he tells me by voicing what people like him would say. And I give this answer of mine to them. Not to that person. If a person uses his reason, he will find the truth. Yes.
So people, whatever state they are in, whether idolaters, whether Magians, or even fierce enemies of Allah, from their people in the period of ignorance, the moment they regret their denial and return to their Lord, if only they knew those people's place with their Lord, and and the countless provisions Allah will (?) them, if only they could grasp them. When Allah Almighty loves and protects people, people declare that they want many goods from Allah. They ask for all sorts of things. Whereas those goods will perhaps not be good for that person. Since people do not know the future, they ask for many goods without knowing whether they are good or not good for them.
Since Allah Almighty protects people, He does not give them goods that are not in their destiny. Because people are very impatient, they say: I ask of Allah but Allah did not give me. They (?) Allah. Whereas Allah did not give because He protects people for their benefit. In this respect no one can call Allah to account and say: You gave me this, or You gave that to someone else. He arranges a person's life within the lifespan He gave him and within his destiny. In such a way that no one can call Allah to account, Allah distributes sorrows to them, within their destinies. Within everyone's wishes and desires.
Yes.
