Tafsir
War is not something people like or want. War involves death, destruction and destruction. Allah, Who does not intend cruelty to the worlds, does not take pleasure in making people fight. Why did Allah (swt) send the Holy Quran? Be guided, find the right path, be brothers and sisters in the religion of Islam.
Why He says, "Be brothers with the religion of Islam. Allah (swt) sent Prophets and Books to enlighten people's problems with His Word, which He sent as the last and perfect one and after which He will never send another Prophet or another Book, addressing the past, present and future times. Allah, who created us, addressed us, saying, "Enter the religion of Islam and take the Qur'an as your guide. If you go beyond this, you will be divided.
Islam is a religion of trust and submission to Allah. Islam is a religion of mercy and love, a religion of brotherhood, a religion of self-improvement. This is how Allah wants people to be, so that there should be no corruption, mischief and sedition among people. Let there be brotherhood on earth and let everyone be happy.
However, those who do not fear Allah, those whose hearts are full of hatred and hatred, those who turn away from Allah do not rest in peace on earth. Their job is to sow discord and stir things up. They disregard people's lives for the sake of worldly wealth, they prefer poverty and destruction for their own benefit and they cause bloodshed. Allah says that in order to prevent such people from slaughtering innocent people, war is obligatory upon you against states with such an understanding. Such a war means justice, protecting humanity and the innocent, and spreading Allah's justice on earth.
Because people do not know the unseen, Allah Ta'ala says, "It is possible that you may not like what is good for you. It is also possible for you to love what is worse for you). La Gaybi Illallah (Allah knows the unseen) we cannot know it. As we have explained in the lessons above, Allah (swt) made a covenant with people and gave them their destiny. People cannot know their own destiny. But Allah (swt), who gave and wrote that destiny, knows the destinies of those who will come until the Day of Judgment. Allah (swt) has programmed this entire created universe with a program and He knows where and what will happen within this program within seconds of time. In this respect, He has both introduced us to the greatness of His Essence and informed us that the human beings He created are unaware of the unseen, saying that since we do not know the good and evil about us, it is possible for you to consent to evil and consent to good.
The reason why it is possible is that people do not know the unseen, and Allah, the Exalted, makes it obligatory for us to do what is good for us with His Verses because we cannot comprehend what is good for us. That is why he says, "War has been made obligatory on you, even if you do not like it.
Allah, who has made a covenant with human beings one by one in the realm of spirits, knows what bad behavior people will do to people on earth, so He warned people with His Holy Quran, warning them that if you do not fight against such people, they will fight against you until they turn you away from your religion. If a person does not fight the fear of death and submits to the other person and complies with what he says, he turns away from Allah, turns his back on Allah, makes the Hereafter miserable, and buys the oppression of the eternal life for the pain and suffering of the temporary world.
So Allah is constantly warning people for the good of mankind, saying: O people! Do not engage in such behavior that will ruin the Hereafter and buy the life of Hell. Keep My commandment so that you may find salvation. Because you cannot know the unseen. You do not want what is good for you and desire what is evil for you. So follow My Word so that you may find Salvation.
What is said in the video
In Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 216: although it is disliked by you, fighting has been prescribed for you. Does Allah Almighty not know the people He created? Who would want to go to war? While there is peace, and especially with the fear for one's life; but when it comes to it, a person disregards his own life, and when the brother beside him is shot and martyred there, then that person full of faith, his eyes no longer seeing anything, throws himself at the enemy. That is a (?) that Allah gave to Islam. In the state of faith. Yes.
Yes.
it is possible that you dislike. That you dislike. It is possible that we dislike what is better for us. Why? Because we do not know the unseen. If we knew the unseen we would love it. Because we do not know the unseen; what a beautiful thing, Allah Almighty. It is also possible that you love what is worse for you. Isn't it? We do not know the unseen, because our nafs wants it. Sir, perhaps my death will come about in it. But the nafs desires it. A very beautiful car. In the end that car will bring me death. I know that. In fact I saw this with a relative. Long ago. There were '57 Chevrolets, Chevrolet cars.
A beautiful car at that time. This is very old. Sixty years ago, fifty-five years ago, fifty years ago.
He bought a '57 Chevrolet. A celebration is held. Lovely chats at home, outings. The car. The '57 model is very beautiful. An American car. A week later, a traffic accident, and together with it the one who bought it dies too.
Now, if he had known it would turn out like that, would he have bought it? So what does Allah Almighty say? It is also possible that you love what is worse for you.
Allah knows, He says, and you do not know. Why does Allah know? He made a covenant with us, He gave us our desires and wishes as our destiny; we cannot know what we will live through within our destiny. But our Lord knows what every living being to come until the Day of Judgement will do.
War is not something people like or want.
In war there is death, destruction and deprivation. Allah, who does not wish injustice on the worlds, takes no pleasure in making people fight over these things.
Why then has fighting been prescribed for you by Allah Almighty, although you dislike it? The enemies of Islam, in order to wipe out the religion of Islam, set their eyes on your lives and your wealth.
Allah Almighty in His verse: even if they do not want it, Allah will complete His light until the Day of Judgement; according to this verse, the friends of Allah, the people who line up on the side of Allah Almighty, so that Allah's light may continue until the Day of Judgement, fighting against Allah's enemies was prescribed for us. Allah Almighty, why did He send the Quran? Be guided, find the right path, with united hands, be brothers through the religion of Islam. This is the Quran.
What did He say? Why did He send the Quran? Be guided, find the right path, with united hands be brothers through the religion of Islam. Why be brothers through the religion of Islam? It must be said. With His word, the last and perfect one Allah Almighty sent, after which He will send neither a prophet nor a book, addressing the past, the present and the future, He sent prophets and books to illuminate people's difficulties. He gathered all the other books in the Quran. Allah, who created us, addressing us, says: enter the religion of Islam, take the Quran as your guide; if you go outside it you will fall into division, He declares.
Yes.
The religion of Islam is a religion of trust in Allah and submission. The religion of Islam. What is it? Submission and trust in Allah. That is, submission means there is no god but Allah. Trust means relying on Him and having confidence in Him. Yes.
The religion of Islam is a religion of mercy and love. It is a religion of brotherhood. It is a religion of reforming one's nafs. Why a religion of reforming one's nafs?
A person who cannot reform his nafs goes against Allah's commands.
That is why in a person who cannot reform his nafs there is fame, renown, pride, arrogance, conceit, egoism, all of it is in him.
But the person who reforms his nafs, as the venerable (?) said: tolerate the created for the sake of the Creator; and as Bediüzzaman said: be like water, be like earth, be like the sun; he enters the state of such people, and these are gentle people. From them no more harm comes to people. So the state of the person who has reformed his nafs the Prophet (peace be upon him) describes so beautifully in a hadith too.
For a Muslim, another Muslim's life, property and blood are forbidden. Yes.
(?) to one Muslim, the other Muslim's property, life and blood are forbidden.
So with the religion of Islam people trust one another, become attached to one another, rely on one another, obey their elders and love their young. But today very few of these qualities I listed remain in people. Neither obedience to elders, nor love for the young, nor trust in one another remains. So when they remove this trust, the bonds of Islamic brotherhood, of brotherhood, will come undone; and they are coming undone. Loving one another is also disappearing. As I said a moment ago, now cheating one another and thinking how I will violate their rights and dues, no goodness in the goods they sell, and as long as we get the money from him. From his pocket, let us get his money.
Whatever happens to the rest. Yes. This is not the religion of Islam.
So because Allah wants people to be like this, so that among people there is no corruption, no mischief and fitna is stirred up, a breeze of brotherhood blows on earth and everyone is happy.
Everyone is happy.
But look: those who do not fear Allah, those whose hearts are full of hatred and enmity, those who turn away from Allah do not stay quiet on earth.
They kindle fitna upon fitna, the fire of mischief upon mischief.
Their (?) is to stir up fitna, to throw everything into turmoil. To drown it in corruption. To gain worldly goods they disregard people's lives, prefer deprivation and destruction for their own interests, and drench everything in blood. So, so that such people do not kill innocent people, fighting against states of such (?) has been prescribed for you, He declares. Look at the Ottomans. They would ask for help.
When a state's people, its king, oppressed its own people, the Ottomans would bring right and justice there. Still in many cities of Europe, when the old people hear 'Ottoman', their eyes fill with tears. Yes. So this is justice.
In such a war, justice, humanity and protecting the innocent is in order to spread Allah's justice on earth. So in such a war, justice, humanity and protecting the innocent, protecting people and the innocent, means spreading Allah's justice on earth. The Prophet (peace be upon him), when he went to war, would call out to his soldiers: Do not touch the old, the children, those working in the fields, do not cut down the trees. How beautifully he addressed them: the old, the sick, women, children, those working in the fields, do not touch them. (?). This is justice. Yes.
Because people do not know the unseen, Allah Almighty says: it is possible that you love what is good for you. It is possible that you dislike it, He says. That is, it is possible that you dislike what is good for you. It is also possible that you love what is worse for you, He declares. La gaybillallah. Allah knows the unseen. We do not know. As we explained in the lessons above, Allah Almighty, who made a covenant with people, gave people their wishes as their destiny. People cannot know their own destiny. But Allah Almighty, who gives and writes that destiny, knows the destinies of those to come until the Day of Judgement.
Allah Almighty programmed this whole created universe with a program, and in the finest detail, within the seconds of time, our Lord knows what will happen from where.
In this respect He has both made known to us (?) of His essence and, since we do not know the good and the evil concerning us, we may consent to evil (?), and to good (?).
Saying this is possible, He makes known that the people He created are unaware of the unseen. As I explained a moment ago, we cannot know what is good for us. We want it, we have it given to us. We cannot know what is good for us either. We may not want that either. We say, let this not happen. But in truth it brings good for us. Yes. So the reason it is possible is that people do not know the unseen, or that Allah, who has the power, because we cannot grasp or understand what is good for us, with His verses for us we (?) the good things, the good things. In this respect He declares: even if you dislike it, fighting has been prescribed for you.
Even if we dislike it. Why? Well, maybe I will die. Death is better, after all. If you die, the world is temporary anyway. You will attain the highest station of your Lord, your Master. You are a martyr. Do you know that station of martyrdom? So He says: you cannot know what is good for you. Yes.
Allah Almighty, who made a covenant with people one by one in the world of souls, knows what bad behaviour people will show towards others on earth, and so He warns people with the Quran: you must fight with such people; if you do not, they will fight with you until they turn you away from your religion. If a person does not fight out of fear of death and bows to the person opposite him, if he submits to what he says, the person moves away from Allah, turns his back on Allah, ruins the world of the hereafter, and against the temporary pain or deprivation of the world, he buys the torment of his eternal, everlasting life.
In this case it does not stop there either: that person, suffering the oppression of the non-Muslims, neither his life, nor his property, nor his honour escapes the darkness. All of it is ruined. So a person lives in this world for his honour. Love of the homeland is part of faith. To protect your homeland, your nation, your life and your religion, Allah Almighty says: fight against such people who go to extremes, who recognise no right or law, who assault people, He says. So Allah constantly, for people's good, commanding people: O people! Do not enter into behaviour that will ruin the world of the hereafter and buy a permanent life in Hell.
Hold to My command so that you may prosper. Because you cannot know the unseen. You do not want what is good for you and you desire what is evil. So follow My word so that you may prosper. Yes.
