Al-Baqarah 217: They ask you about the ruling on fighting in the sacred months. Tell them that fighting in those months is a major sin. However, turning (people) away from the path of Allah, denying Allah, preventing visits to Masjid-al Haram and driving its population out are greater sins in the sight of Allah. Sedition is a greater sin than killing a person. If it is in their power, they will continue to fight against you until they will turn you away from your religion. For those among you who turn away from their religion and die as infidels, all their good deeds in this world will have gone in vain in the hereafter. They are the dwellers of hell and they will remain there eternally.

They ask you about the ruling on fighting in the sacred months. Tafsir
The Prophet had sent a detachment under the command of Abdullah bin Jahsh to Mecca to get news of the Quraysh caravan. When the detachment under the command of Jahsh saw the Quraysh caravan, they could not stand it and attacked. They killed one person and captured two others and brought the caravan in front of the Prophet. That day was the first day of the month of Rajab. The polytheists spread the rumor that Muhammad was fighting in the forbidden months. They say that this verse was revealed for this.
Indeed, it is a sin to wage war in the forbidden months. But fight against those who wage war against you to the extent that they retaliate against you, and do not go too far. The greater sin is the sin of those who have hatred and enmity in their hearts against Allah, who turn away those who come to Masjid al-Haram to obey and worship Allah, and who strive to mislead people from the path of Allah. It is greater than the sins of those who fight in the Haram month.
Fitna is worse than murder. Because the murderer who kills a man kills as many people as he has killed. This happens by killing one or a few people. Fitna, on the other hand, pits people and states against each other. It takes the lives of millions of innocent people. Therefore, fitna is very bad and every human being should be cautious against it. In a verse of Surah Al-Hujurat, Verse 6 (If a transgressor brings you news, investigate it and follow it until you realize its truth, otherwise you will unknowingly offend a people and regret what you have done). If the person who brings news about someone, even if the news is true, is called a transgressor in the verse, Allah (swt) informs us what a great sin Fitna is in the sight of Allah (swt). He says it is a greater sin than killing a man.
The polytheists, with their nafsani behaviors, are in the company of glory, fame, pride, ego, greatness, arrogance and love of the world, and they abandon the right paths shown by their intellect and follow the paths shown by their nafs. In this respect, they commit many wrongs and oppress people. Where they come to power, they do not recognize rights and law. They treat people very badly. Therefore, their actions are a greater sin in the sight of Allah.
If the polytheists had had enough power against the believers, they would have fought against them until they turned the believers away from their religion, for they are enemies of Allah. Therefore, Islam and the believing people must be in a very strong position against those who create mischief in the land, so that they may preserve truth and justice in the land. War is obligatory upon those who believe in Allah so that they may spread Islam, the justice of Allah (swt), throughout the earth.
(Whoever of you turns away from his religion and dies an unbeliever, their good deeds have been in vain in this world and in the Hereafter). A person fears his enemy who is a non-Muslim for his property or his life. If he cannot bear the persecution of his enemy to make him apostatize, or if he accepts his enemy's offer to become a non-Muslim and accepts to become a non-Muslim, then if such people live their lives as non-Muslims and die in that state, all their good deeds and good deeds have been in vain. If a person is a Muslim and follows what Allah says, prays, fasts, performs Hajj, pays zakat, does good deeds for the sake of Allah, and spends his life doing good deeds and good deeds, he will be rewarded for his deeds in this world and the Hereafter. His reward in this world is to find peace and to become a friend of Allah. The reward in the Hereafter is to be rewarded with great rewards. Otherwise, if one fears a non-Muslim for his property and life, or envy a non-Muslim and changes his religion and dies in that state, then all good deeds and good deeds will have been wasted in this world and the Hereafter.
(They are the inhabitants of Hell. They will abide therein forever.) Such people have bought the life of this world in exchange for the life of the Hereafter. They have no share in the Hereafter and they have no helpers. They will abide in Hell for eternity.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 217. What does Allah Almighty say? They ask you about the ruling on fighting in the sacred month. Well, fighting in that month is a great sin, the sacred months. But turning people away from the way of Allah, disbelieving in Allah, preventing the visit to the Masjid al-Haram and driving its people out of it is a greater sin in the sight of Allah. Fitna is a greater sin than killing. If they are able, they will keep fighting against you until they turn you away from your religion. Whoever of you turns away from his religion and dies as a disbeliever, their good deeds have gone to waste both in this world and in the hereafter.
They are the people of Hell and they will abide there forever. May Allah protect us.
Yes. Yes, this verse makes known to us through certain legal rulings in our religion. The Prophet had sent a detachment under the command of Abdullah ibn Jahsh towards Mecca to gather news about the caravan of the Quraysh. The detachment under Jahsh, on seeing the Quraysh caravan, could not hold back and attacked. They killed one person from the caravan, took two people captive, and brought the caravan before the Prophet. That day was the first day of the month of Rajab. The polytheists spread it around: Muhammad is fighting in the sacred months. This verse was revealed because of this. What does Allah Almighty say?
Turning away from the way of Allah, disbelieving in Allah, preventing the visit to the Masjid al-Haram and driving its people out of it is a greater sin in the sight of Allah. This is a greater sin than fighting in the sacred months. Certainly fighting in the sacred months is a sin. But against those who start a war against you, you too fight as much as is retaliation. As much as is retaliation. Without going further. Do not go too far. A greater sin than this is that of those who feel hatred and enmity towards Allah in their hearts, who turn back those who come to the Masjid al-Haram to worship Allah in obedience, who strive to lead people astray from the way of Allah and drive them away from Allah; their sins are greater than those who fight in the sacred month.
How beautifully Allah Almighty here makes known to us our religion. Yes. This is a sacred month. Let those polytheists come, let the non-Muslims come, shed the blood of Muslims, take their places from them. This is a sacred month. Let them say there is no fighting, and let Allah Almighty commit such injustice. Never.
What does He say? Only fight in equal measure against those who fight you,
do not go further. But those who come to visit the House of Allah, those who turn people from the way of Allah, those who (?) them, bear a greater sin than those who fight in the sacred month.
Fitna is worse than killing. Why is it worse than killing? Fitna: you kill one man, two men, three men. But fitna sets tribes and states against one another and drags them into war. Because the one who kills, the murderer, to the extent of his own crime, takes a person's life. That happens by (?) one or a few people. Fitna, however, sets people and states against one another. It takes the lives of millions of innocent people. For this reason fitna is very bad, and every person must be on guard against fitna. In a verse, Surah Al-Hujurat, verse 6: If a wrongdoer brings you news, investigate it, follow it up until you understand whether it is true.
Otherwise you may unknowingly attack a people and then regret what you have done, He says. Now, in the verse, if even the one who brings news about someone is called a fasiq, what does it say about the one who brings news about someone? If a fasiq brings you news, until you learn whether it is true, do not believe it. Otherwise you may unknowingly attack another tribe and regret it. Now, even if he has brought the truth, he is called a fasiq. Even the truth he should not tell unless he is asked.
Allah Almighty has thus made known to us what a great sin fitna is in the sight of Allah, He has. It is a greater sin than killing, He declares. Than killing. Because it sets people against one another, separates brothers from one another, sets peoples against one another, has innocent people killed.
The polytheist, with his nafs-driven behaviour, fame, renown, pride, egoism, grandeur, arrogance and love of the world, is together with them; he does not follow the right path his reason shows, he acts on the path his nafs shows. For this reason they commit oppression against people with many wrongs. Where they come in strength they recognise no right or law, they treat people very badly. For this reason the actions they commit are a greater sin in the sight of Allah. Yes, if the polytheists, against the believers, had had the power, that is, if they had known they would gain superiority over them and take revenge on them, because they are enemies of Allah, until they turned the believers from their religion they would have waged war on them.
Didn't the polytheists do just that? In Mecca, at the time Islam was spreading, did they not torment those who became Muslim? On Bilal the Abyssinian, in the scorching desert, that burning rock onto his chest, did they not press it?
Did they not martyr Muslim women and men?
Did they not put pressure on them to force them to turn from their religion? And in this situation did they not go as far as Yemen? Did the noble Companions not even leave their wealth and property behind and, as emigrants, reach Medina? Well, you cannot say that was only back then either. It continues until the Day of Judgement. These exist in our time too. Christian missionaries, the people of that mindset, I will not say. Around (?) they turn people from their religion with money. And they also get them to speak. With worldly goods. Poor people. And they are becoming Christians in droves.
So with Christian propaganda, with false beliefs, people unaware of their religion sell their hereafter for the world and buy misery and the punishment of the hereafter. May Allah protect us. For this reason Islam and the believers, against those on earth who stir up fitna, must be in a very strong position, so that on earth they protect right and justice.
we said. In this respect Islam and the believers must be in a very strong position on earth against those who stir up fitna, so that they protect right and justice on earth. That is, so that the people Allah Almighty created, in a festive air in this world, may live out their lives. How will they do so? By spreading right and justice on earth. What does the word of Allah Almighty say? Spread right and justice on earth. Well, how will we spread it? We will spread it if we are strong, if we are powerful.
So in order for Islam to be able to spread Allah Almighty's justice on earth, it has been made obligatory on those who believe in Allah.
Whoever of you turns away from his religion and dies as a disbeliever, their good deeds have gone to waste both in this world and in the hereafter. This verse is not only about that person, the Muslim turning from his religion. So whoever goes out of the religion of Islam, all the pleasant deeds he did in this world are voided in the hereafter. Yes, a person fears his non-Muslim enemy for his property or his life, cannot bear the oppression his enemy inflicts on him to make him leave his religion, or accepts the offer to become a non-Muslim and agrees to become a non-Muslim; such people continue their lives as non-Muslims, and if they die in the state they are in, all their pleasant and good deeds have gone to waste.
Why have these people's good deeds gone to waste?
Allah Almighty created these worlds, from the atom to the sphere, and all these beings from the atom to the sphere, these created worlds belong to Allah.
No one can lay claim to Allah's property. In this case, if a person does not carry out Allah's command and sides with those who rebel against Allah, even if he owned not just this world, not just this universe, but universes like this universe, then against disbelieving in Allah and going outside Allah's command all these rewards, all of them weigh light on the scale, and they become people of Hell forever.
While a person is Muslim, bound by what Allah says, he performs his prayer, keeps his fast, goes on his Hajj, gives his zakat, does good deeds for the sake of Allah; for the good deeds he has done, even if (?) small, he has received the return for what he did. Then, for his property and his life, he fears the non-Muslim or envies the non-Muslim and changes his religion, and if he dies in that state, all the good deeds done go to waste in this world and the hereafter. Yes. They are the people of Hell. They will abide there forever. So such people, in exchange for the life of the world of the hereafter, the life of this world have bought.
They have no share in the hereafter and no helpers either. They will abide in Hell forever. Yes.
