Translation

They ask you about the menstruation (of women); say it is a filth. Stay away from your women who have their menstruation until they clean themselves (from menstruation). After they have cleaned themselves thoroughly, approach them from where Allah has ordained for you. Verily, Allah likes those who repent, and Allah likes those who clean themselves.

Tafsir

It is narrated that during the period of ignorance the Arabs did not eat with their menstruating women and did not stay together with them. This was also the custom of Jews and Magi. Christians, on the other hand, used to have intercourse with their menstruating women. Allah (swt) informs people with this verse how to behave and how to protect themselves.

When a woman is menstruating, it is a clot of blood coming out of her reproductive tract. It is not permissible to have contact with a woman until she is completely clean. The minimum menstrual period for a woman is three days and the maximum is ten days.

(Allah says, "After the woman is completely clean, approach her from the place that Allah has commanded people to approach her. If something wrong happens, repent immediately and do not approach her in any other way than what Allah has commanded. Surely Allah loves those who repent a lot and He loves those who purify themselves a lot. Repenting too much cleanses people spiritually, cleanses them from the burden of sin.

Menstruation is the blood that comes out of a woman's uterus, which is called the womb, within a certain period of time. This is called moon phase or menstruation.

Women start menstruating when they are at least nine years old and continue until the age of fifty or fifty-five, when they reach an age called sinni iyas and stop menstruating. It happens to those who are cut earlier.

A Muslim woman who is menstruating cannot pray, cannot fast, cannot recite even one verse from the Holy Qur'an, she can only recite the verses of the Qur'an for the purpose of prayer. She can pray the Tasbihat. She may not touch the Qur'anic plates or the Holy Qur'an, enter mosques, or circumambulate the Ka'bah. She may not have sexual contact with her husband, and he may not touch her from below her navel to below her kneecaps, even if he is unwilling to do so, and these things are haram. But when she is menstruating, they can eat together and sleep together, except when she is menstruating.

A woman who is menstruating or puerperant does not make up the prayers she missed during this time. But the fasts of Ramadan that he did not fast during this time, he continues to fast for the number of days that he did not fast after he becomes clean.

After ten days of menstruation, it is permissible for a woman to have contact with her husband without washing. If it stops before ten days, the woman must wash herself and a prayer time must pass, or if she cannot find water, she must do tayammum and pray two rak'ahs of nafl prayer, so that it is permissible for her to have contact with her husband.

So menstruation is an uncleanness in women. However, since this impurity comes from the fertilization bed of women by Allah, the meaning should not be misunderstood to mean that women are unclean. The meaning of uncleanness here is that blood is an uncleanness because blood is an uncleanness, and blood is an uncleanness when it comes out of the woman's seminal bed during menstruation. When she comes into contact with her husband, she is also contaminated. Therefore, in these situations, people should be careful of the commands of Allah (swt).

What is said in the video

We left off at Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 222.

In our religion, in the sharia rulings, Allah Almighty has made everything known to us in the best way.

We need to know some things very well according to our religion.

Just as a person goes to the doctor and, while being examined by the doctor,

when he has to show his private parts, does this for his health, in our religion too, so that people can learn their religion, some things seen or known as private must be explained in the best way, so that people learn their religion well and know the lawful and the unlawful. Yes, listen well to what we will say, the meanings in our talk here or in the commentary of the verse. Do not listen to people's made-up nonsense. If you learn well, if you listen well to these verses I will explain and learn them well, God willing, against the false things people tell, (?) you will not give them any value.

And you will not be taken in by such errors in religion. Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 222: Allah Almighty asks as follows. Says. They also ask you about women's monthly period. They also ask about the monthly period. Say: it is an impurity. The monthly period is an impurity. Now, do not misunderstand this and let it come to your mind that women are impure. God forbid. We will open that up for you now.

Keep apart from your women who are in their monthly period. Do not approach them until they are clean. When they have fully cleansed themselves, approach them from where Allah has commanded you. Surely Allah loves those who repent much, and loves those who purify themselves much.

Now, according to the reports, reports. In the time of ignorance the Arabs would not eat with their wives who were menstruating. They would not stay together with them. The custom of the Jews and Magians was reportedly the same. The Christians, on the other hand, reportedly had contact with their menstruating wives. With this verse Allah Almighty makes known to people how to behave towards women and in what way they are to be protected. Yes.

A woman's menstruation:

we want you to listen to this well. A woman's menstruation is a blood clot coming from the womb. It does not mean the woman is impure. Our Lord describes the woman as a field that raises a child. In that field, well, forming, some residues, let us call them, blood clots. It does not mean that the woman is impure.

A woman's menstruation is a blood clot coming from the womb. One must not have contact with a woman until she is fully clean. A woman's menstruation is at least three days, at most ten days. Now, why, why must one not have contact with a woman while she is menstruating?

That is, what happens if there is contact? Why does Allah Almighty forbid this?

This blood clot coming from the woman's womb: when she has contact with her husband, into that womb the semen of the human cell that shoots forth, that human cell, and the woman's womb is like a camera's shutter. Millions, thousands of human cells shoot forth, and that woman's womb catches one and closes. Just like a machine, a camera's shutter opens and closes in an instant, it takes one and closes. Sometimes it can catch two or three. These we call twins, triplets. Meanwhile, if the woman is in her period, the blood clot there, having first come into contact with this semen, the living thing in that human cell, to that cell it sticks. Mostly on a person's face, or else on the back, the right, the left, like blood, like a claw, blood marks, that is, they form, patches form.

In this respect these, to prevent these appearances, Allah Almighty sets this rule. That is, (?) people are created in the most beautiful form. Well now, would you want on your face something like a blood claw, a patch like the palm of a hand on your face, or on your back, anywhere? So our Lord, to prevent these, makes known to us His laws. That is why, while a woman is, well, in her period, one must not approach her.

So a woman's menstruation is at least three days. At most ten days.

After the woman is completely clean, Allah says: from where He commanded people, approach.

Wherever He commanded people within what is lawful, there. If something wrong happens, one should repent at once and not turn to any contact other than as Allah has commanded. This is our Lord's law over people. If people overstep these laws, then they begin to push Allah's limits, and every kind of calamity befalls them.

Yes.

Surely Allah loves those who repent much and also loves those who purify themselves much. Those who purify themselves much. Cleanliness: half of religion is cleanliness. Half of our religion. Well, that is why one must be clean. In what we eat, drink, wear, in cleansing from filth, we must be clean in every respect.

Repenting much cleanses people spiritually. It purifies them from the burden of sin. Why? Repenting much purifies people from the place of sin, that is, purifies them from their sin. Allah Almighty created people fallible and deficient in mind. People can commit sins. But when a person realizes he has sinned, he at once knows his helplessness. 'My Lord, out of my helplessness I committed this error. Pardon and forgive me': when he says this, it fits Allah Almighty's purpose of creation. The purpose: man will know his helplessness and ask his Lord for pardon and forgiveness. In a verse Allah Almighty also says: If people on earth had not committed errors, I would drown, that is, destroy them, and create servants who commit errors, He says.

Since Allah Almighty gave man of His spirit and created him like His (?), if He created him within the attributes, with the attribute of (?), then in this case, if the being Allah Almighty created made no errors, He would have created a being equal to His essence, God forbid; then what would happen? People too would become beings equal to Allah. So, people being created deficient in mind, when people err through this deficiency of mind, they will know their helplessness, and then they will turn to their Lord. 'I committed this sin out of my deficiency, out of my nafs; my Lord, forgive me': when he says this, his knowing his helplessness and asking pardon and forgiveness before his Lord's (?) fits Allah Almighty's purpose of creation, so He forgives people. Yes. In this respect too, Allah Almighty, (?) the Prophet (peace be upon him), in his hadiths: even if your sins reached the clouds in the sky, when you repent with a (?) heart, Allah Almighty will change them into good deeds.

So it purifies those who repent much from the burden of sin. Menstruation is the blood that comes from the woman's womb, the uterus, within certain periods. This is called the monthly period or the period. So it is a clot coming from the womb within a certain period. Yes. Women start having periods at the earliest at age 9. At the earliest. They start at age 9. It continues until age 50 or 55. This is the age called sinn-i ye's. She reaches an age so called. Her periods stop. Sinn-i ye's. Well, at this age women's periods stop. There are also those whose periods stop earlier. At 45, at 42, at 48; in these too there are those whose periods stop early.

A Muslim woman having her period cannot perform the prayer. Now, pay close attention to the religious sharia rulings on these. Ignore the many nonsenses people make up. Your law: the laws of fiqh within the sharia ruling I read, that is, the laws of our religion. A Muslim woman having her period cannot perform the prayer.

She cannot fast. She cannot recite from the Holy Quran, not even one verse. She may only recite verses of supplication inwardly, with the intention of supplication. She may do tasbih. She cannot touch Quran plaques or the Holy Quran, cannot enter mosques, cannot circle the Kaaba, cannot have sexual relations with her husband, and her husband cannot touch his wife from below the navel to below the knees even without desire. And the things described this way are forbidden in our religion. Yes, forbidden in our religion. What was described this way, what we described: approaching women in this way is forbidden in our religion.

But while menstruating, apart from these, they eat together, they sit with their husbands, talk, eat, and may sleep together. Yes.

A woman having her period or in postpartum bleeding, a woman,

does not make up the prayers she did not perform during these times. Both a woman in postpartum bleeding and one having her period, during this time, do not make up the prayers they did not perform. But the Ramadan fast she did not keep during this time, after she is clean, she goes on to keep for as many days as she did not fast. Whether her period lasted 6 days, 7 days, 8 days or 9 days, for these days she did not fast she will fast after she is clean. But she will not perform the prayers. Allah Almighty excuses them from these prayers. Their times have passed. Yes, when the ten days of menstruation are full and the woman is still bleeding, ten days are full, the woman's contact with her husband without washing is lawful.

Why is it lawful? Because now, at most, a person's period lasts nine days, at the most. Since this is the tenth day, in this case it is not menstruation; it is the result of other bleeding coming from the womb. This is not an impurity. yes

if it stops before ten days, that is, if it stops at nine days, at or before nine days, the woman must certainly wash; she will certainly wash and become clean, and one prayer time must pass after it; if it is noon, noon, (?) must pass, or where she cannot find water, she must make tayammum and perform two rak'ahs, even if voluntary, so that contact with her husband becomes lawful. Yes.

So we said menstruation is an impurity for women. But since this impurity comes, by Allah, from women's womb, let the meaning not be turned around to mean that women are impure. I said this at the start anyway. Yes. The meaning of impurity here: since blood is an impurity, the woman's contact with her husband during this period is an impurity. That is why in these situations people should be careful regarding Allah Almighty's commands. Yes. Our son Levent has a question. When I pray alone at the workplace, I pray without changing my work clothes. There is paint and dust on the clothes; is it objectionable, he asks.

Paint and dust on work clothes: everyone has it on them; dust is on everyone. There is no person without dust anyway. Paint is not an impurity either.

Filth: the places that urine and excrement touch are impure.

Even according to fiqh, when flies land on filth and the filth on their feet they bring and land on a person, even that filth on the person is not accepted as filth in fiqh. That is, it is not filth; with those tiny traces on a person, the prayer is valid. As for paint, as long as there is no filth on it, with the paint on his clothes he may pray. It is not impurity, but when he goes among people, so that within the community he does not disturb others, or draw others' attention to himself, he may clean the clothes he is wearing. This is the sharia ruling. Now we come to taqwa. Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran: when you rise for prayer, put on your clean clothes.

As for taqwa, how? Clean: that is, taking off the work clothes and putting on our clothes and standing that way in the divine presence is more virtuous for us. In terms of taqwa. But if you could not find the chance, well, in some situation you could not find the time, your prayer, of course prayer is more virtuous, you will perform it. However much paint there is on the clothes you wear, well, as long as it is free from filth you may continue your prayer. Yes.
