When men divorce women and they have reconciled in a legal matter after the menstrual period is over, (oh you custodians), do not prevent them from getting remarried to their men. This is an admonition for those who believe in Allah and the hereafter. Following this advice is the best and purest for yourselves. Allah knows (the things that are to) your benefit, you don’t.

Tafsir

It is narrated that Ma'kıl bin Yassar's sister was divorced by her husband and when they both wanted to marry each other again, Ma'kıl opposed the marriage. The Prophet (PBUH) called Ma'kıl and recited the verse to her. Ma'kād said, "Even though I do not want this marriage, I am obeying Allah's command" and she remarried her sister to her husband. They say that this verse was revealed thereupon.

Since humans do not know the unseen, Allah tells us what is best for us. If we do not deviate from what Allah says, we will be saved. But the wrongdoers do not follow what Allah says. If we follow what Allah tells us, even if we suffer in the end, Allah is responsible for creating us. I wish I suffer and Allah is to blame.

O people! Allah wishes us guidance, not difficulties and hardships. If we do not listen to the Verses of Allah, if we turn our backs on them and make decisions according to our own minds, we may suffer losses that we do not know what will happen in the end. Allah, Who created us, knows the character of all people, so if people follow Allah's guidance, they will be guided by Allah and live their lives in peace. Allah (swt) makes His Verses clear to us in order to guide people with these Verses and not to cause them injustice.

If two such parties want each other, the guardians should not prevent them from marrying, even if they do not consent to such marriages. O parents, according to this verse, if you fear Allah, do not prevent them from marrying.

(This is a reminder to those of you who believe in Allah and the Last Day). This is how Allah guides mankind so that they may be guided and not be troubled. Only those who have faith in Allah and believe in the Last Day will consent to these events. Otherwise, if they insult people with their wealth and greatness, and prevent people from marrying in order to satisfy their own ego, they will end up in misery and wailing. Since such guardians oppress those who marry with their egoistic actions, their loss in the Hereafter will be great. Thus does Allah admonish mankind by explaining His Verses.

(It is best and purest for you to follow this advice.) Allah (swt) is free from any imperfect attributes. Allah knows what will happen in the end, we do not know. So whoever puts his trust in Allah, does what Allah says, and submits to Him, is the best thing that can happen to him. By ruling with the verses, we do not deviate from Allah's command, and Allah cleanses us from our sins and purifies us, which is the best for us.

Allah knows what is in your interest (you do not know). Surely Allah is the One Who knows what His creatures will do until the end of their lives and gives them their character as their destiny.

Since human beings cannot know what will happen one second later in the flow of time, they continue their lives unaware of a calamity or an accident that will happen to them one second later, with their death or survival. These are only within the knowledge of Allah (swt) who created the universe. In this respect, Allah guides us for our good. If man walks on that path, he finds life and peace. If he deviates from it, he becomes a sinner because he violates Allah's commands and crosses the line. In this respect, Allah knows what will happen to you, you do not know. And because we love you very much, we do not want you to suffer any hardship. Trust and surrender to Me and you will make both your worlds prosperous.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 232.

When you divorce women, have they completed their waiting period? That is, have they completed the three-month period? Provided they agree between themselves in a lawful way, that is, when the woman and the man, her husband, agree between themselves in a lawful way, O guardians — that is, her father, her mother, her (?), the one responsible for her — O guardians, do not prevent them from marrying their husbands. There is no such thing as: I won't give you to him yet, I won't send you to him yet. He is her husband; the right is his. And if her husband wants her and the woman wants him too, they are obliged to go to each other. Her father, her brother, her mother, her uncle, her aunt cannot just get up and say: no, this man is bad, this man wrongs our daughter or our child or our grandchild, our niece, so I won't give her to him yet.

That's not right. Did the woman and the man agree? They agreed. Allah Almighty says: do not hinder that. Carry out Allah's command. They — give her to him again. Yes, these things that are told are an admonition given to those of you who believe in Allah and the Last Day, He says. Yes, if you believe in Allah and the hereafter, this is an admonition to you. If you keep it, happy are you; if you don't, things go badly for you. Keeping this admonition is best and purest for yourselves, He says. For ourselves. What if we don't keep it? We (?). We will have fallen into sin. By separating those young people or that husband and wife from each other, we will have caused suffering both to their children and to themselves.

That is why we fall into sin. Allah knows your interests, your interest. You do not know, He says. So where is there a benefit? Our Lord knows that. We do not know. Because we have no knowledge of the unseen. The keys of the unseen are in Allah's hand. According to a narration, this verse: Ma'qil ibn Yasar's sister was divorced by her husband. Then, when both wanted to take each other again, Ma'qil opposed this marriage. The Prophet called Ma'qil and recited the verse to him. And Ma'qil said: although I do not want this marriage, I obey Allah's command, and he married his sister to her husband again.

Thereupon this verse was revealed, they say. This is (?) too. What does he say? I am against this, he says. But if my Lord commanded so, I submit to Him, my neck is thinner than a hair, I say yes to this for my Lord, he says. Since people do not know the unseen, Allah tells us what is most right concerning us; our minds cannot grasp some things, and since they cannot, since we were created deficient in mind and fallible, Allah Almighty holds a light before us with verses, with His beautiful laws; if we keep the laws, all is well; if we don't, we come to ruin. Now, if we act according to Allah's verses with a (?) heart, even a matter that would not work out — this is in our destiny, isn't it? that is, thinking this will work out if we follow Allah's verse — well, if it isn't going to happen anyway, we won't follow the verse and it still won't happen.

But if we follow Allah's verses, since Allah Almighty in His verses holds a light before us, we never reach a dead end. Do not fear at all. You will never reach a dead end. As long as you decide correctly according to the verses. According to the verses. If, saying I am deciding according to the verse, you decide in a way that has nothing to do with it, of course you will reach a dead end again. Why? If we decide correctly according to the verse, the dead end is lifted from before us. Because since we carry out Allah Almighty's command, Allah lights our way, and in His own word He does not let obstacles arise on our path, sir.

How beautiful. If we have given the verses a perfectly straight meaning, and according to that meaning carried out our Lord's command and kept His command, Allah Almighty, within His own command, difficulties for people, and within difficulties their drowning —

what happens? Then one says: I acted according to the verses but I met with very many difficulties. Allah's attribute (?) — may Allah protect us. I say it again. Only, being able to give the verses the right meaning. If someone, saying I am giving it meaning, gives it a meaning that is not there, this matter is an exception. Yes. Since people do not know the unseen, Allah tells us what is most right concerning us. And if we do not step outside what Allah says, we find salvation. We find salvation. But the unjust do not observe what Allah says. Who are these unjust? Not necessarily non-Muslims; those who have followed their whims and desires, who even within the religion of Islam (?) and for their whims and desires wrong their own selves.

He does not leave Islam, but he does not do what Allah says. (?) people who wrong their own selves: the unjust. If we apply what Allah tells us, then even if we suffer harm in the end, the one responsible is Allah who created us, look, as I said just now, if we suffer harm. Allah Almighty never lets harm touch us. Why? I did what You said but I came to harm. Would Allah ever let one who walks the path shown by his Creator come to harm? This is Allah. Now let me ask you this. When you tell a worker or a person working for you: go, son, fetch that from there — if that person, under the same conditions, fetches it from there and comes to harm, who is responsible for that?

That man is — the one who sent him is. The one who sent him is. But if that person does not go the way he was sent and wanders down winding roads, the harm is on him. Because he did not keep to what his master said. He did not carry out what he was commanded. Allah Almighty does not make His servants suffer harm. If you observe the verses.

I wish I would suffer harm and Allah were responsible for it, I say. I wish. Why? Because He gives me abundantly. O My servant, I told you such and such, and you did what I said, but you suffered much harm in this, and I could not have known — here is this much reward for you. Look, this is like a (?). All (?), look how beautiful, it supports what you said. Never stepping outside what Allah says, never stepping outside. And those who, (?) the verses perfectly straight, act within the rulings of those verses never suffer harm. Yes, O people, Allah wants (?) for us. He does not want hardships and difficulties.

Not listening to Allah's verses, turning our backs on them, if we make decisions according to our own minds, in the end we may meet with harms whose outcome we cannot know. Yes. Since Allah who created us knows the characters of all people, if people carry out Allah Almighty's command, they attain Allah's guidance.

They spend their lives in peace. With these verses Allah Almighty, to lead people to guidance and not intending injustice for them, makes His verses clearly known to us. Clearly. And very beautifully. And I too write the tafsir clearly. Exactly as I speak. And what happens here? A few verses have not been mentioned. I support it with those verses. That is, I support what has been said. So that it is understood better. Yes, if we had set out to write it the way we speak, another verse would be given as an example after it, then another verse as an example, and the whole Noble Quran would be gone through.

And so, if the whole Noble Quran would be gone through, we wrote the meaning of the verses only on that verse, in short sentences people can understand, and since every verse confirms the other, in the next verse too, opening the verses with sentences of words that support it, we wrote our tafsirs this way, so that people would understand easily. Such

when both sides want each other, such people, even if they do not consent to these marriages, by following their selves should not hinder the homes of those who are going to marry, He has said. Such when both sides want each other, (?) people, even if they do not consent to these marriages — well, suppose one doesn't want it. But at the very least, we say, at the very least, by following their selves, they should not hinder the homes of those who are going to marry. I may not want it. I may say: let them not marry. But since Allah has commanded so, and they had a home that had broken apart, well, (?) gathering, reuniting — at least let us not hinder them.

Yes, if they fear Allah, Allah Almighty commands so, we see. If they fear Allah. These things that are told are an admonition given to those of you who believe in Allah and the Last Day. Look, what does Allah say now: these things that are told, that is, these verses of our Lord, are an admonition given to those of you who believe in Allah and the Last Day. Look, the meaning branches out very much here, it deepens. He has become a Muslim, said the testimony of faith, he believes in Allah and the Last Day. But he has not been able to reform his self; in this case the state of a person who cannot reform his self comes out as having wronged his own self.

And He says: these things that are told to you are an admonition given to those of you who believe in Allah and the Last Day. The other also believes, but because of his self these verses weigh heavily on him, and, as in the verse: have you not seen the one who deifies his self, because of (?) of his self he does not want to give. He doesn't give. If he gives. So Allah shows people the right path in this way, so that they come to guidance. What is guidance? To those who are bound by Allah's command, Allah grants His mercy. Those who attain Allah's mercy have also attained our Lord's guidance.

So that they do not suffer hardship. That is, people who judge by the verses, who submit to our Lord's command, sir — what does it say? If they observed Allah's command in line with those verses, those people do not suffer hardship. I said it just now. So that they do not suffer hardship. Only those who have faith in Allah and believe in the Last Day consent to these matters. That is, even if it weighs heavily on their selves, they say: my Lord's command is this. He always tries to carry out his Lord's command. Isn't that so, Asım? Yes. They carry out Allah's commands. Even if it weighs heavily on their selves.

Yes. Those other than these, with their own self-importance and arrogance, insult people. If, to satisfy their own selves, they hinder those who are to marry, in the end they suffer ruin, and keep lamenting. What does he say? Oh my child, if only I had married you to him. He says. And she too sighs. She says: may those who hindered us go blind. She says: may those who destroyed our home be ruined. They curse. Do not draw people's sighs upon yourselves. If a husband and wife have truly divorced and want to marry each other again, then their guardians must by no means ever hinder them from setting up a home again.

Never. Yes.

Since such guardians, with their selfish actions, wrong those who are to marry, the harm they will suffer in the hereafter is also great. That is, since they are loaded with their burden, Allah Almighty will surely ask him at the Supreme Court. So Allah admonishes people by explaining His verses in this way. Keeping this admonition is best and purest for yourselves, He says. It continues in the same verse. We open them sentence by sentence. Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes. Allah knows what will happen in the end; we do not. Because the keys of the unseen are in Allah's hand. Within our destiny we cannot know what will happen a second later.

So, whoever trusts in Allah, carries out what Allah says and submits to Him — that is the best of what will befall a person for himself.

Look how beautifully we put it. Let me open that up for you too. So, whoever trusts in Allah,

carries out what Allah says, and submits to Him — that is the best of what will befall a person for himself. There is nothing better than that. Why? My Lord, you submitted to Me. Yes, I submitted to You. I submitted. You commanded me so. And I carried out Your command for You.

Now the decision about me is left to You. To whom? It is left to Allah. That is, we put our trust in Him. We put our trust in Him. So whatever befalls me, that is the best, my Lord will reward me, because it is the best, he says. Now He will reward me according to my intention. I gave an example just now. You sent someone to another. He went. He carried out what you said to the letter. He came back. He returned. Our return is to Allah Almighty, after all. He too came back. Well, that person you sent — when he fully observed your command, and suppose you had watched it on a television screen or with cameras — when you saw that he carried out your command to the letter, when he came to you, what would you do to him?

Far from scolding him, you would welcome him with a smile and praise him. So what does Allah Almighty say? This world is the likeness and shadow of the hereafter.

Sir, in this case, in this case Allah Almighty to people: whoever trusts in Him and does what He says, surely that is the best of what will befall that person. And since we are bound by the verses and do not step outside Allah's command, Allah purifies us by cleansing us of our sins, and this will be purest for us. Yes, let us hope. We will have been cleansed. Why? Because we are constantly in repentance. Because we are in repentance and because we carry out our Lord's command, our Lord always cleanses us. He purifies us from sins. Allah knows your interest; you do not know, He says. Again within the sentence of the same verse, what have we always said?

The keys of the unseen are always in Allah's hand. Allah knows your interest; you do not know. Why do we not know? Because did not our wish and desire, our intent, become destiny for ourselves? In this destiny of ours, whatever wish, desire or intent we had back then, Allah Almighty wrote that for us. It was written, but since it has not yet befallen me, I cannot know it. (?) I will know this in time. So what does He say? Allah knows your interest. You do not know. Perhaps I make a wish, a desire, against myself. Yet it is not in my interest. So what does our Lord say? Did you think everything you wish (?) He says. That is, did you think that the things in your destiny, even if you want them, sir, would be given to you, He says.

Moreover, the meaning in this verse is along these lines: sir, Allah knows your interest; you do not know. I may also have wished for something that is evil for me, but I cannot know that it is evil for me. But our Lord, although He also knows the evil of all that is in our interest, also knows which interests are in our interest. I wish for something as a benefit, but it is to my harm. I cannot know it. And if it is outside my destiny, it is not given to me. I wished for it, but it is outside my destiny. So our Lord knows our interest, that is, whatever we have wished for, within our interest He knows our interest in the best way.

We have said: surely Allah is the one who knows what His creatures will do until the end of their lives, and who gave them their characters as destiny. We tied this point together this way. Sir, whereas (?), our wishing for something in a way that pleases us may seem to be in our interest, yet it is to our harm. Our Lord knows this. So, He says, you cannot know the unseen. Only Allah knows the unseen, and He gives our wishes and desires to ourselves as destiny, writes them, and works these destinies within characters into people as traits, and when the time comes those traits turn into wish and desire, and Allah Almighty creates causes for those people and creates it, and the person, within this wish and desire, plays it out — this proves what kind of person he is.

Yes.

Since people cannot know the second to come in the flow of time, a person goes on living unaware of whether a second later he will die or live, or of a calamity or an accident that will befall him. These are only within the knowledge of Allah Almighty, who created the universe. For this reason Allah shows us the way for our good. For our good. If a person walks on that path, he finds life, he finds peace. If he steps outside it, he tramples Allah's commands, and because he oversteps the limit he becomes a sinner. Yes. As I said just now, I may wish for an evil. Yet I cannot know that it is evil.

So Allah Almighty says: We know what is evil and good for you. What? We know what will be of use to you, He says.

For this reason Allah — what will befall you, We know, you cannot know. And since We love you very much, very much, We do not want you to meet with hardship. Trust Me and submit, so that you make both your worlds prosper, He says. What does He say? Trust Me. Allah Almighty. Because I do nothing against you. If you go on the straight path I have shown, you will find salvation. As I said just now. If only Allah Almighty would command and I would suffer harm from His command. If only. Where? Would Allah ever command a person and that person suffer harm? Would he suffer harm? Is this possible? Yes.

Now here some events also come to my mind. Some events.

Allah Almighty says in His verse: they, did they think they would extinguish Allah's light with the blowing of their mouths? Allah will complete His light until the Day of Resurrection, He says. If Allah Almighty will complete His light until the Day of Resurrection, He will set the Muslim people against those who want to destroy Islam along with the Muslims, and those Muslims, for their religion, homeland, faith, honor and dignity, to protect Allah's religion, will fight those opposing them. Don't they fight? They do. In this case, if they are on the straight path, Allah helps them. With His martyrs, His angels and His friends He helps them.

Our Lord Himself also helps. Like what? With natural events. For example, at the Battle of the Trench, the Prophet (peace be upon him), besieged for about a month facing the (?). After a month, a great storm, in a darkness where eye could not see eye, a cold and a rain cloud ruin them and off they go. Yes.

This is how Allah protects His religion. Just trust in Allah, and He is with you. You will never suffer harm. Well, Hodja, there are those who die, right? Ah, look now. Those who die, those who become martyrs, those who fight for Allah and die, those who become martyrs. Look what He says now in His verse. Allah loves you very much. That is why, He says, He wants to take those He loves as soon as possible. This is a verse, a verse. He wants to take those He loves as soon as possible. And these are the martyrs. And what do the martyrs say? Why are you waiting, they say to those who will come after.

Look how beautifully our Lord welcomed us. How beautifully He treated us, how He (?) us. Why are you waiting, they say. Don't wait. Come. Come. So the event in which Islam at first seemed to be losing — in fact Islam is not losing. It gains strength. Why does it gain strength? There is a loss of people. What is the strength here? Do you know what that strength is? After our Lord takes them, He Himself will help people with His own power. With His own power. (?) Yes. Just be a Muslim. Be upright. Trust in Allah and bind your heart to Allah. Always ask from Allah. Everything other than Allah is a lie.

Yes.
