Fight on the path of Allah and know that Allah is Samee (All-Hearing) and Aleem (All-Knowing).
Tafsir
Fight in the way of Allah, this does not mean that Allah says fight to destroy people, to kill people unjustly, to oppress people. He does not love those who do these things. Fight in the way of Allah means to spread Allah's justice on earth against people or tribes who are adorned with bad traits, do not commit injustice, do not exceed the limit. Otherwise, Allah is not the one who makes people turn against each other and takes pleasure in it.
People who turn away from Allah, those who do not know Allah, the Book, are eager for the world. As if they will never die, they pursue wealth and property and seek to reign in the world. In this respect, those who feel a little bit of power over the people, they take on the weak and usurp their wealth and property, or such cruel people invade their lands by slaughtering innocent people. Against such people or tribes Allah says, "Fight them for the sake of Allah, taking the side of the oppressed. Until they spread truth and justice on earth.
He also says, "Fight in the way of Allah", that is, explain the religion of Islam to people and show them the truth. Allah (swt) does not hold anyone to account for what He has not announced.
Surely Allah is All-knowing. That is, He sees, hears and knows everything down to the smallest detail. He is the All-Knowing, the Creator of all things out of nothing.
What is said in the video
Verse 244 of Surah Al-Baqarah: Fight in the way of Allah, and know that Allah hears and knows all things. Âmennâ. He is Semi', He hears, and Basir, He sees. Allah Almighty.
Let's read our text in our commentary and make some explanations on it. Fight in the way of Allah: what is meant by this, Allah to destroy people, to take lives unjustly, to (?) people, His saying fight for that (?). Yes. He doesn't love those who do these things either. His saying fight in the way of Allah: against people or nations adorned with evil traits, spread Allah's justice on earth. Spread it on earth. Do not do injustice. Do not transgress. That is its meaning. Tell them the truth. Those people. Fight in the way of Allah. It also means: break the evils in your own nafs, at the same time. Because fulfilling Allah's command is the duty of us all. So, for us to be cleansed of evils, Allah Almighty sent us His verse.
Calling us to the Truth, He lit our way with His verses. So a person's struggling with his own nafs and breaking evil, the evil in his own nafs, also means that he is fighting a battle in the way of Allah. A person: this is in fact the greatest battle. The Prophet, while returning from the Battle of Badr, from the Battle of Badr, says: we have come out of the small battle, we are going to the great battle. O Messenger of Allah, the Battle of Badr, they say, could there be a greater battle than this? Yes. Now, he says, we are going to battle with our nafs. This is greater than the Battle of Badr.
That's why a person's fighting with his own nafs is a great battle. It is fighting in the way of Allah. Otherwise Allah is not one who has people break each other and takes pleasure from it. People who move away from Allah, who recognize neither Allah nor book, crave the world. As if they would never die, chasing property and wealth, in the world they fall into the pursuit of reigning. Yes. For this reason, those who feel some strength in themselves over people fall on the weak and usurp their property and wealth, or such cruel people, slaughtering innocent people, invade their lands. So Allah says: against such nations or people, you, taking the side of the oppressed, fight them for Allah.
Until you spread truth and justice on earth. Yes. Fighting in the way of Allah. It doesn't necessarily mean waging war like this. If necessary, war is waged. Like what? For example, if we give an example from history: the Ottomans' European lands: when other states began to oppress their own people, or when other states began to oppress innocent states, even if not Muslim, the Ottomans being asked for help, and the Ottomans helping those people to spread truth and justice on earth. And today still, when you say Ottoman, the elderly among them who survive have tears flowing from their eyes. Why?
Because they protected the oppressed. They (?) at their side. Yes. If you want to be on Allah's side, on Allah Almighty's side, help the oppressed. Try to comfort his heart. Because Allah Almighty says: seek Me in broken hearts. In broken hearts. Yes.
Also, His saying fight in the way of Allah: by telling people about the religion of Islam, show them the truth. Allah Almighty does not hold anyone accountable for what He has not made known. Surely Allah is All-Knowing. Because He is the One who creates from nothing. Because of all this creation, that is, the revolving totality created, of all these created things surrounded by the seven heavens and the Throne of Allah, He is the Creator and Owner. Surely, as their Owner, as the One who brings into being from nothing, He is All-Knowing. That is, He sees, hears and knows everything down to the finest detail.
He is All-Knowing. He brings everything into being from nothing and creates it. Yes.
