When they engaged in war with Jaloot and his soldiers, they said, “our Lord! Pour down upon us patience. Give us courage so that we can hold on, on our feet. Help us against the nation of infidels.”
Tafsir
When the soldiers of Talût were eliminated by the test of the river and only a handful of people were left behind, when these handful of soldiers fought against the soldiers of Jâlût, they prayed to Allah (O our Lord, shower patience upon us. Give us courage so that we may hold on against the enemy soldiers). Help us against the disbelieving people." It is clear from this that Allah does not want discord and injustice between people on earth. In this case, against the unjust and unjust treatment of Jâlût, the people who want to spread Allah's justice on earth for the sake of Allah, because they know the day when they will meet Allah, ask for Allah's help to prevent injustice and injustice to Allah's servants. Whoever calls on Allah, Allah will answer his call. Whoever helps people to prosperity and peace for the sake of Allah, Allah will surely be with him. It was through the supplication of this handful of people and their asking for Allah's help that Allah came to their rescue, and the seed of sedition and evil was removed when they won the war and David killed Jâlût.
What is said in the video
(?) verse 250 of the Quran.
Yes.
(?), my child, says: Hodja, may Allah be pleased with you, I enjoyed it, kisses, I enjoyed it, many thanks to you too, my dear.
When they engaged Goliath and his soldiers in battle, who? Saul. The commander at their head, among the Children of Israel, the commander at their head, engages Goliath's army in battle. As we said in our last lesson, Allah Almighty will test us with a river. Except one handful, except drinking one handful; apart from that, those who drink, sir, are not of us, he says. Then most of those who come to the river drink from that water and say: today we are (?), we have no strength for battle. They stay on the other side of the river. With a handful of the army, Saul crosses to the other side. He was crossing that stream to the far bank.
When he set out to engage Goliath's army in battle, since the army facing him is very numerous and very strong, he seeks help from Allah Almighty. Now, our Lord does not love those who spread corruption on earth. What does he say in the verse? You are spreading truth and justice on earth. So those who shed blood unjustly, who cause injustice, who want to spread oppression on earth and who intend oppression on people: those who fight them, Allah surely helps. And Saul, too, with this thought, look what he says to Allah Almighty. When Saul's soldiers were sifted out by the river test and only a handful of people remained, when this handful of soldiers engaged Goliath's soldiers in battle, they pray to Allah Almighty.
Our Lord, pour patience upon us. Patience. A handful of soldiers, a handful of people, in the way of Allah, are fighting people perhaps a hundred times their number. But for Allah. Give us courage so that against the enemy soldiers we hold firm, they say. Courage. Yes. They pray to Allah in this way. They said: help us against the disbelieving people facing us. Against the disbeliever. From this it is understood that Allah does not want, on earth, among people, discord and injustice. Yes. Allah Almighty did not create people on earth to (?) and shed blood. That is what the angels say, isn't it? What do the angels say?
My Allah, will you create on earth a being that will shed blood? And what does Allah Almighty say? You do not know what I know, he says. Of course they don't know, and of course we don't know either. Allah, who has power over all things, knows everything in the best way. Yes. In this situation, against Goliath's unjust and unfair treatment, for the sake of Allah, people who want to spread Allah's justice on earth, because they know with certainty the day they will meet Allah, so that no oppression is done to Allah's servants and so that injustice is prevented and stopped, asked Allah for help. Whoever said 'Allah', would Allah leave his need unanswered? That is not possible.
That is not possible at all. Why? Hodja, you say it's not possible, why do we ask and it doesn't happen? Look what it says; now we will answer from the verse.
When people ask Allah for something, they say: I asked Allah, but he did not give me this. They accuse Allah of stinginess, he says. May Allah protect us. Look how beautifully he says it. Allah Almighty. They accuse Allah of stinginess. Yes. So your wish and desire, within that intention of yours, your wish within your destiny will surely happen. But this is not a magic wand. Allah Almighty gives right away, too. Over time your wish will be fulfilled. Be patient. You will be patient. That is one. Second, if it is not outside your destiny, if you are patient, in the other world Allah Almighty, who will not load on your back what you cannot bear, will bring your wish in this world, which you asked for with patience, in the hereafter before you.
Yes. So, whoever said 'Allah', did Allah leave his need (?)? Whoever, for Allah's sake, helps toward people's salvation and peace, Allah is surely with him. So, with this handful of people's prayer and their asking Allah for help, Allah came to their aid (?) (?), and with David killing Goliath, the seed of strife and evil was removed. That is, they say the commander we call Saul was, in a sense, David. Yes, with David killing Goliath, the seed of strife and evil was removed.
