“He is only a madman, so, bear him until a determined time.”
Tafsir
The people of Hadrat Noah 'alaihis-salâm' not only did not believe in Hadrat Noah 'alaihis-salâm', but also accused Hadrat Noah 'alaihis-salâm' of madness. The elders of the people, the taguts, said of Hadrat Noah 'alaihis-salâm' that he was a madman at best. For for him to speak of the truth and Allah and to utter such words is only the speech of a madman. Are we going to leave all our idols and believe in one Allah, as Noah said? This is a very ridiculous word. They left Noah 'alaihis-salâm' to his own devices and told him to wait for a while. Their purpose in saying this is that he will die one day anyway, so do not believe his words and follow him, but wait for his death.
What is said in the video
Look what they say about Noah now. "This is only a man in whom there is madness. So bear with him for a while and wait and see," they say. The people of Noah (peace be upon him), while not believing in Noah (peace be upon him), said of Noah (peace be upon him): "At most, this one is a madman." Because his speaking of truth and of Allah, and his (?) such words, is nothing but a madman's talk. "Now are we to leave all these idols of ours and believe in one Allah, as Noah says? This is a very ridiculous word." Leaving Noah (peace be upon him) to himself, they said: wait for a while. Their aim in saying this: "He will die and be gone one day anyway; don't believe his word and follow him; wait for his death," they said.
