The misinterpretation

We forgave you so that you would be grateful after your actions.

The right translation

We then forgave you so that you would be grateful (to Allah).

Explanation

Allah (swt) knows who among the people is an Islamic and who is a non-Muslim. Because people made a covenant with Allah (swt) in Kalu Bela, people have dictated their fate to Allah (swt) according to their desires and wishes. When He says, "We have forgiven you so that you may be grateful after your behavior," it means that our Lord does not know who obeys Allah and who does not obey Allah, but He has forgiven them according to their behavior, and He will judge them according to their behavior after that.

In this case, since our Lord knows those who will become Muslims among a people, He indicates those who will become Muslims with the indicative pronoun "until". The truth of the verse is: Then We forgave you, so that you might give thanks.

What is said in the video

Yes. Again, verse 52 of Surah Al-Baqarah. Wrong, it has gone on in a chain.

After those deeds of yours, so that you come to your senses and give thanks, We forgave you, it says. That is, after those deeds of yours, so that you come to your senses and give thanks, We forgave you. So Allah doesn't know, and in their future, those people, He forgave him. So that you'd give thanks. Well, what if he doesn't give thanks? What does it say? So that after those deeds you come to your senses and give thanks. "So that you give thanks": He doesn't even know they will give thanks. We forgave you, it says. Whereas look at the verse. Then We had forgiven you. Look. We had forgiven you. So that you give thanks.

When We grant a mercy to a community, We cover all of them, He says. Whether they obey or not. For the sake of one person He pardons those who are there. Since He pardons those who are there, look now what the verse says. Then We had forgiven you, all of you. To those among them who will turn back to Allah, all of them, for the sake of those who will turn back, We forgave you all, so that you give thanks. That is, so that those people return to the covenant they gave. They will return anyway. Because that is their character. Now, here again the word lealle occurs, I think. Let's see.

Yes. What does it say? Sümme afevnâ anküm min ba'di zâlike lealleküm teşkürûn. The word lealle. This is where they always went astray. This is where they always ascribed attributes to Allah. Yes.
