Explanation
The misinterpretation
After that, you went back on your word. Had it not been for the grace and mercy of Allah upon you, you would certainly have been among the losers.
The right translation
After this, you did wrong (in the worldly life). Had Allah’s mercy not been upon you, indeed, you would have been among the losers.
Explanation
The wrong place here: Then you went back on your word. It is not possible for people who have made a covenant with Allah (swt) to go back on their word. This is because Allah (swt) is free from any imperfect attributes. If our Lord has written the destiny of the people who have made a covenant with Allah and programmed this world, no one can go beyond this program and go back on their word. If such a thing had happened, the world would have been turned upside down by now. However, when people come to this world, they may be mistaken in their covenant. But no one can go beyond his destiny. Our Lord says in the 61st verse of Surah Nahl: "If Allah had punished mankind immediately for their wrongdoing, He would have left no living creature on the earth. When we human beings come to this world, we make many mistakes and mistakes. We commit sins knowingly or unknowingly. When we repent as a mercy from our Lord, He forgives us as a mercy from our Lord.
What is said in the video
64. Verse, Surah Al-Baqarah. Now it is translated so wrongly that the root of these wrong translations is in verse 172 of Surah Al-A'raf, as our Lord has told us. Sir, here, in verse 172, Allah Almighty: ve iz ehaze, ehaze, made a covenant, look, ve iz ehaze. Rabbüke min beni Ademe, your Lord with Adam.
With those who would emerge from Adam's offspring He made a covenant, it says. With those who would emerge from Adam's offspring. Now here they take this word 'zuhur' out of Adam's depths.
After Adam came into the world, after Prophet Adam came into the world, was the covenant made in the world?
Or was it made in the mother's womb? Or was it made in the hereafter? It is left open, it says. Sir, a broader commentary on this is written in such and such a place, it says. Well, if he too had known, even though you read that text, I would have said it. Sir, look at the commentary of Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır, sir, it says. Well, since you have read it too, it means he too could not know where the covenant was made. Now the verse is very clear. Look what it says in the verse. Let us read it again. Let us read it again. The verse is very clear.
And your Lord made a covenant, Rabbüke min beni, your Lord, your Lord, what does it say?
With those who would emerge from Adam's offspring. Now, those who would emerge from Adam's offspring. Who are they? The first human in the world is Adam. Who are those who would emerge from his offspring?
All the people whose souls Allah Almighty created in the realm of Lahut, who will come until the Day of Judgement. Well, since Allah Almighty, once again in the world, having sent us into an unseen realm, will not make a covenant with us in a realm where His Being is not seen, and since He will not appear to us either, where does this happen? Where does this covenant happen? With those who would emerge from Adam's offspring, that is, in the realm of Lahut: when We created you, We made a covenant with you, We raised you to the barzakh, We know what you are. You, to the world, with those who would emerge from Adam's offspring: We wrote your covenant, We wrote your script for you as destiny, and We placed the characters in you.
No one can ever step outside its word again. What was it? They broke their word. They broke their word. Just look at you. Look. Look. What does it say? After that you went back on your word. Wow. Remember, there is a Book with Us that is preserved in the Preserved Tablet. According to the verse where He says nothing is added to it or taken from it afterwards, since everything wet and dry is in the Holy Quran, since no one ever again, according to these verses, can break their covenant, since no one can step outside this covenant, how did this one break his word? Astonishing, astonishing.
Can something be so contrary to the verse?
Can there be so much thoughtlessness?
Yes.
Now let us read the rest of it completely. Having explained this much, let us also explain the correct one. Let us see how it will be. We are reading you the wrong one. After that you had gone back on your word. Had it not been for the grace and mercy of Allah upon you, you would surely have been among the the losers, it says. Now we are reading the correct one. Then you erred in the life of the world. You erred in the life of the world. It does not say you went back on your word. You erred. Why does one err? Man has a period of ignorance. Allah Almighty created man incomplete. Since He created him incomplete, he may take the crooked for the straight.
Man can go down the wrong path. But he cannot go back on his word. He cannot go back on his promise. He cannot break his covenant. Then you erred in the life of the world. If Allah's grace had not been upon you, you would surely have been among the losers. Remember what it says in the earlier verse? We destroyed you with a thunderbolt. And then We revived you. For those among you who are grateful. Look how the verses, how beautifully they confirm each other here. Where did he go back on his word? Where are these verses, all belied against the verse, verses translated with lies and errors? Allah preserve us. If I too am mistaken, if there is someone who knows better than me and does not tell me the truth, let my right remain upon him.
If I am telling the truth, and they, although they know this truth, do not say: Hodja, you truly have fine knowledge, come, let us write this Holy Quran together, I have good Arabic, and together, according to the time, with the original of the Quran, with its text, a Quran, if they do not set to work to write it, then I leave them to Allah. I am doing my duty.
Let them do their duty too. Let those in charge do their duty too. Take the truth wherever you find it, he says. If knowledge is in China, go and take it, says the Prophet. Yes.
