Al-Baqarah 93: At one time, We elevated Mount Sinai (Tur-Sinai) upon you so that you will listen to what We have given to you (Commandments) and ordered to obey them. They said, “We heard (with our ears) and rebelled (with our hearts)”. This is because due to their denial, their hearts were filled with affection towards the calf. Tell them; “If you were among the believers, your faith would not have ordered you such (ugly) things!”

The misinterpretation

Remember that he took your word under the mountain of Tur; We said to hold firmly to what I have given you, understand what is being said. Them; We heard and we rebelled, they said. Because of their denial, their hearts were filled with calf love. Say; If you believe, what evil things your faith commands you.

The right translation

At one time, We elevated Mount Sinai (Tur-Sinai) upon you so that you will listen to what We have given to you (Commandments) and ordered to obey them. They said, “We heard (with our ears) and rebelled (with our hearts)”. This is because due to their denial, their hearts were filled with affection towards the calf. Tell them; “If you were among the believers, your faith would not have ordered you such (ugly) things!”

Explanation

In this verse, they have made the same mistake as we have explained in the previous verses. They say they have taken a promise. Allah does not take promises from anyone. Allah (swt) writes each person's desire and will as his destiny with the people with whom He has made a covenant. In this case, no creature can go beyond its destiny.

It is also wrong to say that their hearts were filled with the love of calves. (Because their hearts were filled with the love of the calf because of their disbelief). And also, if you are believers, how evil your faith commands you: If you were believers, your faith would not have commanded you to worship the calf (deny the Qur'an).

If we explain these mistakes. We have explained that the word "covenant" in the above verses is wrong. To conclude with a short sentence, when people make a covenant with Allah, our Lord has written their desires and wishes as their destiny. It is not possible for these people to go back on their destiny. This is because our Lord has written their destiny according to their desires and wishes. Nor is it possible for people to turn away from their destiny.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 93 has also been translated wrongly. By explaining the mistakes to you, where they made mistakes, we are showing you. They made a mistake about the spirit. in the word la'alla: 'it is hoped that', or 'it may be this way, it may be that way' they made mistakes. And on these, sir, they ascribed attributes to Allah Almighty. They translated verse 93 like this. Remember that beneath Mount Tur He took a pledge from you.

Hold firmly, very firmly, to what I have given you. Understand what is said, We had said. They said, we heard and we rebelled. They said. Because of their denial, love of the calf was filled into their hearts. Listen carefully. There is a mistake here now. Love of the calf was filled into their hearts, it says.

When it says 'was filled', it is by Allah Almighty. Whereas what about them? They filled it with love of the calf. Look at the word. 'Love of the calf was filled' is one thing. 'They filled it with love of the calf' is another.

How much the word changes!

If in one, Allah creates what He created, and if no one can change what He did, well, he says, You did it like this, so I became like this. Do you see how they translate the subtleties here?

Say: if you believe, what evil things your faith commands you.

Look what it says. Say: if you believe, what evil things your faith commands you. Can such a thing be?

Faith is in Allah. A person believes in idols too. The idolater believes in it. Here, make this clear. Make it clear. If you believe in that calf, if you have faith in it, outside Allah's outside the command, those calves; that is, you associated partners with Allah. How evil the things are that Allah's creations command you. Tomorrow, when you come into the divine presence, I will settle your account, He says.

Once, so that you heed My commands, the Torah We gave you, and act accordingly, so that you would act on it, We raised the Mount above you and said to you: They had said, we heard with our ears, we rebelled with our hearts. Look how beautiful. They had said, we rebelled with our hearts. Because of their unbelief, love of the calf had settled into their hearts.

Now, does this look like the verse I read? Let us read this on top of it. Let us compare it now.

Hold firmly to what I have given you, understand what is said, We had said. They said, we heard and we rebelled. Because of their denial, love of the calf was filled into their hearts.

Now, here we read: they had said, we heard with our ears, we rebelled with our hearts. Because of their unbelief, love of the calf had settled into their hearts.

My beloved, tell them: if you were believers, your faith would not command you such ugly things as worship the calf, deny the Quran. Come on, please, look at the verse. What does it say here? Say: if you believe, what evil things your faith commands you. What do we say here?

My beloved, tell them this: if you were believers, your faith would not command you such ugly things as worship the calf, deny the Quran. Yes.

If the verses had been translated so clearly, explicitly, in a way people can understand, today the people living among these superstitions, still with one another, these who translate these superstitions the same way, and who, calling them men of knowledge, sit on television and, saying they are telling people the truth, tell these superstitions to people, the people who have them told, and those who tell them included,

what will they do in the presence of Allah, I wonder?

If I knew, if I knew that one verse I translated like this, and in another verse understood it like this, translated it like this, I swear by Allah, I would not tell you anything. I have not reached perfection myself, so how could I teach you?

If in what I explain you see one word of mine contradicting another word of mine, tell me.

I will say goodbye.

Hodja, are you that much of a scholar? I am as much of a scholar as I have been given. I am as much of a scholar as I have been shown. As it has been opened to me, as it has been explained to me, and even that, I am charged with telling you a little of it. Apart from this, in a way where verses contradict verses, in no way, saying you explained this verse like this here, and like that there, can you prove this, and you cannot show it to me.
