Al-Baqarah 124: At one time, his Lord tested Abraham with words (in order to make him a witness to himself). And he fulfilled those words completely. The misinterpretation
Once upon a time, his Lord tested Abraham with certain words. He, too, had completely fulfilled these words. Allah said, I will make you an imam for the people. Prophet Abraham said; He said, "Make my offspring an imam." Allah Almighty; He said, 'My covenant cannot be attained by the wrongdoers.
The right translation
At one time, his Lord tested Abraham with words (in order to make him a witness to himself). And he fulfilled those words completely. Allah said, “I will make you an Imam (a leader) for mankind”. Abraham said, “make my offspring leaders, too”. Allah said, “oppressors cannot be worthy of my covenant”.
Explanation
What is also wrong in this verse is this: (His Lord tested Prophet Ibrahim with some words). Allah (swt) testing a person means that He is unaware of his future and what he will do. However, when Allah (swt) made a covenant with human beings in His address Elestu bi Rabbikum, He wrote the desires and wishes of each human being as their destiny. He has also programmed these worlds until the Day of Judgment. This is contrary to the verse in which He says that there is not a single living creature that will come until the Day of Resurrection, so that We do not know what it will do. However, the words of Allah do not contradict each other.
Does Allah (swt) make a covenant with a person and write his desire and will as his destiny, but does He not know what he will do? The word that should be written correctly is: His Lord tested Abraham with some words (to make him a witness).
What is said in the video
we close. "Once upon a time" — verse 124, Surah Al-Baqarah, we're explaining its wrong version. Once his Lord tested Abraham with certain words. And he had fulfilled these words completely. Allah said: I will make you an imam for the people. And Abraham said: make my offspring imams too. The Exalted Truth said: My covenant does not reach the wrongdoers.
Now, where is the mistake here? Look what it says: once his Lord put Abraham to the test with certain words, to make him a witness to himself. As if here Allah Almighty didn't know what Abraham would do, and according to how he would behave, how he would behave, He would, um, value him. Look what it says: once his Lord tested Abraham with certain words. Tested. That is, He doesn't know what he is, so He's testing him. Whereas what do we say? Once his Lord, with certain words, Abraham put to the test to make him a witness to himself. A test. And he had these words fulfilled completely. Allah: I will make you an imam for the people.
Here, (?) is correct. He said. Abraham said: make my descendants imams too he said. The Exalted Truth said: My covenant does not reach the wrongdoers. All the imams, the poles, the poles of poles, the prophets are descended from the line of Abraham. That's why, when asked whose ummah you are, Abraham's — ah, when asked whose millah you are, you'll say: the millah of Abraham. Whose ummah are you? I am of the ummah of Muhammad (peace be upon him). Yes.
