The misinterpretation
So, remember me (with worship), so that I will remember you. give thanks to me; don't be ungrateful to me.
The right translation
Remember Me so that I will Remember you (with My mercy). Be thankful for the provisions I have given, so that you don’t be inclined towards blasphemy by being ungrateful.
Explanation
The mistake here is: They do not state how Allah (swt) remembers people. If people remember Allah (swt) with dhikr, worship, help and do good to people, and pray to our Lord, then our Lord will remember them with His forgiveness. That is, He forgives many of their sins and bestows His mercy on them.
Do not turn your backs on Allah when He says: "Do not disbelieve by being ungrateful for My blessings". Our Lord says in one of His Verses: (Do We ever diminish the wealth of the grateful).
What is said in the video
Yes, I suppose it's been understood, hasn't it? I mean, we managed to explain it, OK.
We've come to verse 152 of Surah Al-Baqarah.
"So remember Me with worship, so that I remember you", it says. Now I'm reading the wrong one, pay attention to this.
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Fezkürûni ezkürküm veşkürû li ve la tekfurun. Look, what does it say? "So remember Me with worship, so that I remember you." Where is worship here? Where is worship here? Fezkürûni ezkürküm veşkürû li ve la tekfurun. Ve la tekfurun. They made this up here. "Remember with worship, so that." Because that's how he understands it. He says: if you remember Allah, Allah remembers you too. But if the Muslim remembers with his worship, Allah likewise remembers him. So? Does Allah Almighty not remember the one who doesn't remember Him with worship? Now I'm asking here.
Does Allah Almighty not remember the one who doesn't remember Allah with worship? According to their minds He doesn't. But any particle that Allah doesn't remember ceases to exist. It cannot find life. Life. Allah Almighty has the attribute al-Hayy. Hayy. That is, the Ever-Living. Its meaning: giving life to all the beings He created, those beings finding life through Allah, but Allah Almighty needing nothing from His creatures — the attribute al-Hayy. Here he has removed the attribute al-Hayy.
Who is going to understand this? They've squeezed these into such places. Yes. What does it say? "So remember Me with worship, so that I remember you." Then, the one who doesn't remember with worship — then let Allah not give sustenance to non-Muslims, idolaters, um, to this one and that one. Let Him not remember them. When He doesn't remember them, what will He do? He won't give sustenance, will He? They've denied even Allah, the Almighty Provider, here. Yes. "Give thanks to Me. Do not be ungrateful to Me." There's a threat here too. "Do not be ungrateful to Me." Well, if you don't give thanks to Allah, when Allah Almighty says "do not be ungrateful to Me", He will stand behind His word.
What will He do? He will destroy them. Is there any such thing? Honestly, how have they interpreted the verse like this? An astonishing thing, astonishing. Something to be astonished at. Whereas look what the meaning of the verse is. "Remember Me, so that I remember you with forgiveness." With forgiveness. What does this one say? "So remember Me with worship, so that I remember you." Whereas: "Remember Me, so that I remember you with forgiveness." What is forgiveness? If you remember Allah Almighty, Allah forgives your sins. Look how beautiful. If you remember Allah — with forgiveness. What does it say? "Remember Me, so that I remember you with forgiveness." Whoever comes one step to Me, I go to him running, He says. If he comes running to Me, I remember him within Myself, says Allah Almighty.
Yes. "Give thanks for My blessings." Look: "Give thanks for My blessings." "Do not fall into kufr by being ungrateful", it says. What does it say here? "Give thanks to Me. Do not be ungrateful to Me."
Is there the opposite of ingratitude here? No. Well then, as-salamu alaykum.
Now when it says "Give thanks to Me, do not be ungrateful to Me", there is, um, an accusation against them, there is a threat. But what is there here? "Give thanks for My blessings, do not fall into kufr by being ungrateful", it says. Here, instead of "do not be ungrateful to Me", look what it says: veşkürû li ve la tekfurun — do not go into kufr, it says. Although it's this clear, how can you say this to people as a threat? Does Allah Almighty ever threaten people? He perceives Allah Almighty by his own mind. If you don't do this for me, I'll do this to you, I mean. Just look at that. Yes. Allah Almighty — what else shall we say?
There's nothing else to say. Well.
Let me take it from here.
