The misinterpretation

O wise ones! In short, there is life for you. It is hoped that you will avoid committing a crime.

The right translation

Oh you who have reasoning! In retribution, there is life for you, so that you shall abstain from crimes.

Explanation

It is hoped that in this verse the word has been misinterpreted. The word (lealle) is mentioned in the Verse. This Verse has many meanings. By using this Verse in a different meaning, the commentators change the meaning of the Verse and attribute our Lord. The equivalent of the Verse (lealle) here is "until". Since our Lord knows that a person who is among non-Muslims in a tribe and who lives in that state will later become a Muslim, He indicates these people with a demonstrative pronoun.

In the continuation of this verse, it is also stated that those who commit crimes are the ones to be retaliated against and that there is life in retaliation, that is, if a person who kills a person is killed and he is killed, the case is dropped in the Hereafter when they receive their rights from each other in the Hereafter.

Here the word "hopefully" is used. Allah (swt) does not know how many people will be slaughtered unjustly, so He never uses the word "hopefully" in His Attributes and Verses.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Baqarah, on page 26, verse 179. We always read the wrong version first anyway, every time. O people of understanding! In retaliation there is life for you. Perhaps you will refrain from committing crimes, it says. Look at the matter here: the word certainly appears. In verse 179. Yes, it says: "Perhaps." Whereas if they could grasp the meaning of the word lealle, they would not ascribe such attributes to Allah Almighty. What does it say? Perhaps you will refrain from committing crimes. Allah doesn't know a person's future. If you have retaliation, people too know there will be retaliation.

Perhaps people, because of retaliation, will give up committing this crime. Whereas: so that, so that you refrain from committing crimes, so that you refrain. So that you refrain from committing crimes. That is, among those living, in the world: who will commit a crime, who will commit adultery, who, though open to this adultery, will protect himself from it. Because it's a deterrent punishment. The death penalty. In civil law — what kind of civil law is that — if civilization means mating with one another like animals, like animals; if civilization means, like animals, their private parts being bared and flaunted; if such a person's way of life is to be called civilization, then Allah Almighty, of such a civilization, of this kind of human civilization, says they are like four-footed beasts roaming the earth — and man falls into the state that matches this verse.

Yes.

O people of understanding, in retaliation there is life for you. Perhaps you will refrain from committing crimes, it says. He took Allah and fitted Him to his own head. As if Allah spoke as he himself thinks. He gave the meaning here accordingly.

O people of understanding! Why does Allah Almighty address the mind? Why does He address the mind? Well, where was it? Here.

Yes, why does Allah Almighty address the mind? He created the mind able to understand the crooked and the straight and gave it to man. If the human mind had been given a capacity unable to tell crooked from straight, a fault would be ascribed to Allah Almighty. We could say: there was nothing to make me tell them apart. But, but we can understand the crooked and the straight with our minds.

But once we understand the truth, once we hear the truth, when we compare, don't we say: really, I knew it this way, but this was wrong — and turn to the truth? We do. So every mind recognizes the truth. Recognizes; that is, when the truth is told, even if I had judged by the wrong, you must turn to the truth at once. Now these verses have been interpreted wrongly. And we are explaining what is right about them. And we say: you who wrote this book, who address 84 million people, come, give up this mistake, explain these correctly to these people, and attain Allah's mercy. As long as you go on like this, Allah's wrath will be upon you; tomorrow at the Great Court your reckoning will be heavy.

Don't you know the truth? You know it. How do you know it? From what I explain. Well, if I am wrong, why don't you invite me to the truth?

If you are charged, if you are charged with explaining the religion of Islam, and I am explaining it wrongly, isn't it your duty to convince me?

Look, this man — very nice, yearning for Allah — always explains it all wrong. Is this what Islam is? Why don't you tell me? Why don't you invite me to the truth? Why don't you explain the verses to me correctly, though you know the truth — and I know you grasp it? Because Allah has given you a good mind. You have reached a certain position. When the truth is told, that you refrain from the superstitions you learned before — I'm aware of that too. That is, I know you refrain. I know you don't judge by the wrong things, that you'll stay away from them. But with this, by the right things that are explained you can't be guided. Because with one another you are tightly bound; with one another you don't want to fall into dispute, and the real source of these truths you don't have the knowledge to explain to the one in front of you.

In that case, if you say "that's how it came, that's how it goes" and carry on like this, you will bear a great responsibility.

O people of understanding, in retaliation there is life for you, so that you refrain from committing crimes, is what we say.
