Al-Baqarah 213: Mankind was only one nation. Then Allah has sent Prophets as givers of glad tidings and as admonishers. Allah also sent Books with them that show the true path so that they would judge between the people when they had issues of conflict. But those who were given a Book went into conflict in religion because of their greed. Upon this, with the permission of Allah, the believers saw the truth about the things that they had quarreled about. Allah shows the right path to whoever desires it.

The misinterpretation
People were one nation. Then Allah sent the Prophets as givers of glad tidings and warners. He also sent with them books showing the right way, so that people could judge among themselves on matters in which they differed. However, those who were given the Book, after the clear proofs came to them, differed in religion because of the passion they had among themselves. Thereupon, Allah showed the believers the truth about which they differed, by Allah's leave. Allah is He wills to a Straight Path.

Explanation
In this verse, Allah's will is again mentioned. Its meaning is explained in the footnote of the 142nd verse of this Surah. We put it here as a repetition.
Allah created man as a particle of His Spirit. He gave man a mind to govern himself and to judge himself with his own will. In this situation, He made a covenant with human beings. In the 172nd verse of Surah A'râf, Our Lord says: (172- He made the descendants of the children of Adam to bear witness against themselves, lest you say on the Day of Resurrection, "We were unaware of this", and said: I am your Lord. (They said) yes, we bear witness (to that).
So after man was created in the realm of Lahut, whatever he asked of our Lord when he made a covenant with Allah (swt), Allah (swt) gave him what he wanted and wrote his destiny. After that, if Allah (swt) removes His will from man and our Lord uses His will on man, what does He want from man? Why does He make a covenant with man? If Allah, who has the power and strength, exercises His will over human beings and puts whomever He wills in Paradise and whomever He wills in Hell, if He creates whoever He wills as a disbeliever and whoever He wills as a Muslim, if He gives His mercy to whomever He wills and withholds His mercy from whomever He wills, would we not be characterizing our Lord by making Allah (swt) unjust among His servants? And would there be any point in the covenant?
In this case, those who ask Allah will be guided. Those who turn their backs on Allah and do not embrace the religion of Islam, those who rebel against the commands of our Lord, those who disregard the laws of Allah, those who associate partners with Allah, or those who follow the verses of Allah's revelations that suit them and deny the others, will surely be punished accordingly and they will be included in Hell, the place of torment.
This world is the shadow of the Hereafter. In the world, if people disobey the laws of the state and commit crimes, if they cheat people, if they kill people, if they are caught for these crimes and sent to prison after being sentenced by a judge, did the judge send these people to prison, or did they send themselves to prison for the crimes they committed?
So, when people make a covenant with Allah (swt) in the address Elestu bi Rabbikum, their own desires and wishes become their destiny. Within this destiny, people are either punished or rewarded for the actual deeds they have done with their desires and wishes. They will be rewarded for their own actions. In this case, Allah (swt) has no will on people in the worldly realm, with the decisions they make with their own will while they are living. Those who wish go to heaven and those who wish go to hell.
This situation is entirely the result of the actual actions of human beings, which they have made with their own will and decisions. Those who ask Allah for guidance will be guided. As for those who turn their backs on Allah and do not embrace the religion of Islam, those who rebel against the commands of our Lord, who disregard the laws of Allah, who associate partners with Allah, or who obey the Verses of Allah that suit them and deny the others, they will surely be punished accordingly. Such people will enter Hell, a place of torment, an evil place of return.
What is said in the video
Verse 213 too is a wrongly translated verse. "Mankind was a single community" — correct. "Mankind was a single community." This goes very deep. This is deep. A single community: whom did Allah Almighty create first? He created the Prophet, from His light. Then He gave him of His spirit. So from him He created the prophets. And from the souls of the prophets He created the souls of the peoples. If we go backwards — to all the prophets, and if we go back from there, to the soul of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and from there if we go back further, it goes all the way until each of us, as a part from Allah Almighty, was created.
Since the soul is only in man — the soul. Not in every cat and dog here and there. Since it is only in man, since he was created honoured above the worlds, all people not resembling one another — however much twins resemble each other, in them too a difference arises — since Allah Almighty changes every attribute, every form, each of us is unique from our Lord. Good. That is why people are everlasting in Paradise and Hell. But here some — brainless and witless, I'll call them — Let us call people La mawjuda illallah too, and them sir, they constantly hold equal with Allah Almighty. God forbid. One is the Creator. One comes from the Creator's attributes.
And one is the created. Now the created — you cannot compare it with the — with Allah Almighty, within His rule. Because the Creator has kept certain formulas of His own kept for Himself. For example, Allah Almighty has not told people the secrets of creation. Many things. For example, He made human memory limited. Man can use twelve percent of his memory, of his mind. In that case, the people who call humans, together with Allah, what they called subsisting, sir, what did they call it, that to people, to those who subsist with Allah, sir, they used to say something. I can't recall it now. Let's not do a Ramadan tekelleme in Ramadan.
In that case, can the created ever be held equal to the Creator? So what does it say here? "Mankind was a single community." Even though it goes all the way to being a part from Allah Almighty — being created as a part from Him. Now, everything has something like it in this world; it does. This world is a likeness and a shadow of the hereafter. Is there a likeness of this too in this world? Well, since we were created as a part. Of course there is. At one time, a person has 80, 80 million human cells. 70–80 million cells. One of these cells, in the mother's womb, like a camera opening and closing for an instant, is caught, and that cell comes into being there.
Now, did this person create that cell? Reproducing from itself. Existing by itself. Allah Almighty — sir, this is a thing that reproduces in the human body. Did the person produce it himself? Now, when Allah Almighty too separates such a part from His essence, sir, will this be equal to Allah? But in man — because a human factory was set up on earth, so that those people prove to themselves what kind of person they are, Allah Almighty set up this factory, the human factory. Otherwise, in His essence Allah Almighty is one, and when it says all are a single community, it goes all the way back there.
But in outward knowledge too, in outward knowledge too, our father Adam, as the first human, comes into the world, and since reproduction is from him, they were a single community. It goes back to our father Adam.
"Then Allah sent the prophets as bearers of good news and as warners. He sent the prophets. And to judge in the matters in which people had disagreed, He sent with them books showing the right path as well. But those who were given the Book, after clear proofs had come to them, because of the ambition among them, fell into disagreement in religion. Thereupon Allah showed those who believed the truth over which they had disputed, by Allah's leave. Allah guides whom He wills to the right path," it says. Here too, because "whom He wills" appears, we counted it as wrong. Up to this point it's all correct, correct, correct; at the very end it spoils the verse.
"Whom He wills," it says. What does it say? "Allah showed those who believed the truth over which they had disputed, by Allah's leave." Of course, with what? With His prophets, His books, He showed everything. "Then Allah guided whom He willed to the right path." Whereas here, even though He showed the truth, those who still go to denial, who stray, who turn their backs on Allah — what do they do? By their own wish, their own desires, their own willing, they go into disbelief. Where is Allah's willing here?
"Mankind was a single community." Now he's reading the correct one. "Then Allah sent the prophets as bearers of good news and as warners." It's all correct here anyway, up to the end. "And to judge in the matter in which people had disagreed, He sent with them books showing the right path as well." How beautiful. He sends prophets equally to all people. He sends books showing the right path, now. This is Allah. Up to here it's all correct. Can't you grasp this at all, that you then split off here at the end? "But those who were given the Book, after clear proofs had come, because of the ambition among them, fell into division in religion." What is the ambition among them?
"We are the children of Allah, we are His close ones," sir. Sir, "Ezra Uzayr is the son of Allah. Hz. Jesus is the son of Allah. Uzayr is the son of Allah, they say. And in this way they hold themselves above other people. And so, sir, they fall into dispute. My religion is right, your religion is right. Allah Almighty, to them separately — that is, according to each developing brain structure, each developing technology, when He sends books they can bear, sir, for this reason: "No, we won't accept it. We will judge by the old one," they say, and so they go into disbelief. Because they don't believe in the prophets Allah has sent.
Or they deny them. Or it doesn't suit them. And because they see themselves as superior, they are seized by ambition: "Why didn't this prophet come from among us? If he had come from us, we would have believed" — like that. Yes.
"Thereupon those who believed in Allah saw the truth over which they had disputed, by Allah's leave." By Allah's leave they saw it. "Allah shows the right path to whoever wills it from Allah." To whoever wills. The Qur'an came down. It came down. If you willed it, you'll see the right path from the Qur'an. From His knowledge, from His Prophet you'll see the right path. If you don't will it, you turn your back on them, and because you go against Allah's command, before the Owner of the worlds, the absolute true Judge, the Most Just of Judges, you will give account. Yes.
