Al-Baqarah 253: Some Prophets have a higher degree than others. Allah has spoken to some of them, and some of them, Allah has raised by degrees. We have given Jesus, son of Mary, clear miracles and We have supported him with Rooh al Quds. If Allah had wished, the nations that came after the Prophets would not have fought against each other after clear proof came to them. But they went into conflict and some of them believed and some others have denied. If Allah had wanted, they would not have fought. But Allah does that which has been determined.

The misinterpretation

We favored some of those Prophets over others. Allah spoke to some of them and raised some of them by degrees. We gave clear miracles to Jesus, son of Mary, and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit. Had Allah willed, the nations that came after those Prophets would not have fought each other after clear proofs had come to them. But they differed and some of them believed and some of them disbelieved. Had Allah willed, they would not have fought. But God does what He wills.

The right translation

Some Prophets have a higher degree than others.

Explanation

There are two places in this verse where there is a misunderstanding;

1- We made some of those Prophets superior to others.

2- But Allah does what He wills.

1- Instead of those Prophets We made some of them superior to others: Indeed, some of the Prophets are superior to others.

2- But Allah does what is ordained.

The Prophets are a single Ummah descended from each other. Since the Prophets were the first to be created from the Spirit of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), their superiority among themselves is their degree of faith in our Lord. All of them are superior in faith to people who are not Prophets.

But instead of Allah does what He wills, the truth is that Allah does what is ordained. The word is more accurate. Of course our Lord does what He wills. But our Lord has done what He willed and programmed these worlds until the Day of Judgment. If Our Lord goes beyond this program, He will be subjected to incomplete attributes. Because Allah (swt) is complete and perfect, He has created everything in its proper place and in a perfect manner. In this verse, instead of Allah doing what He wills, it is true: But Allah does what is ordained. Since our Lord has programmed these realms, He will not go out of His program, so our Lord does what is ordained within the program.

What is said in the video

On page 41, verse 253, a verse that was translated wrongly. Let's look here too: where is the mistake? I mean, when we find the mistake, it means we have understood the verses. It means we have grasped one of the deficient attributes ascribed to Allah Almighty. And when we find the mistake, we also immediately realize that it contradicts another verse. See how — which verse, we say, right? Which verse does it support? Yes. Like this. Verses do not contradict each other. Verses always confirm each other. But here, when verses are translated wrongly, they contradict. There it said this, here it said that.

Non-Muslims will say your religion is superstition. They won't believe, of course. Explain this properly, won't you. Tell this to people nicely, won't you. And here we have a treasure in our hands. A treasure. Use it, let's use it. In the past, the commander of the faithful, his emir, or in states they would appoint an emir. I mean the governor, today's governors, emirs.

An ordinary person comes. With the emir there's no 'permission, permission', no secretary or whatever. He says 'I'll go straight to the emir', and they take him there. He says: you explained this hadith like this. Or: you explained this verse like that. You explained it wrongly. The emir asks: Where is the mistake? Well, according to this hadith, the Messenger of Allah explained this verse like this. This verse corresponds to that verse. And from this verse, that verse has the same meaning. The way you explained it contradicts that verse, he says. The emir says: by Allah, you spoke the truth. And he would obey him. That's how he would put it.

That is how they brought the religion of Islam to us up to this time. That's how they brought it, like this. But now: 'I have studied, I have licked ink.' Lick it, let's see how much you'll lick. Licking ink gives you ink knowledge too. Of course that too gives knowledge. Allah Almighty said 'iqra' for reading — read, He says. Say 'read', but He doesn't say read out of spite. Read in the name of Allah, He says. So when you see the truth, from the truth you will not turn away. You will not leave it. When you find it you will hold on to it, and according to the hadith of the Messenger of Allah, since he said 'if knowledge is in China, go and get it', if the treasure is at your feet, you will learn it, it.

You will break these egoistic feelings of yours, sir. It doesn't diminish you. On the contrary, as long as you break your ego, you rise in Allah's sight. And as long as you tell people the truth, in the peace of the eternal world you raise your rank. Yes. What does it say now? 'We made some of the prophets superior to others', it says. Yet this is wrong too. Some prophets are superior to others. Why? According to their place, according to their faith, they too are in ranks. Sir, when you say 'We made superior', then a person's heart is hurt. Why didn't You make me superior? After all, I love You too, he says.

Allah Almighty has such courtesy, such very beautiful speech towards people. Allah Almighty blames no one. 'We made some of those prophets superior to others.' Yet: some of the prophets are superior to others. Look. Look at the verse. Didn't everyone, by their own will, by their own nearness to Allah, determine their own degree of faith? Didn't they give themselves their destiny? Since Allah Almighty gave this to those people Himself, doesn't He know which of them is nearer, which of them is above the other? He knows. When telling him, I don't think He will say it by ascribing attributes this way or that.

When He says 'We made some of those prophets superior to others', won't I say this? Those prophets would take offense like that too. People would take offense too. Some of the prophets are superior to others. Yes. We are reading the wrong version. Allah spoke with some of them. He raised some of them in ranks. We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear miracles. And We strengthened him with Ruh al-Qudus. Good thing it didn't say Gabriel here.

Now this verse, in a way, does away with Gabriel completely. I mean, Gabriel brought revelation, Gabriel did this, Gabriel took on a form and so on, you know — this refutes all of it. How does it refute it? Now this, listen to this verse carefully. We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear miracles. Who gave them? We gave clear miracles. Who gave them? Allah gave them. And We sent him with Ruh al-Qudus.

Strengthened him. Ruh al-Qudus — now, had it said here 'We supported him with Allah', Allah would have been saying that besides Allah Almighty who sends it there is another god. We supported him with Ruh al-Qudus. The Holy Spirit, that is: I supported him with My essence, He says. I supported him with My essence. With what did I support him? How do we prove here that Ruh al-Qudus is the essence of Allah Almighty? Because he raises the dead. By Allah's permission, it says, he raises the dead. With whom? By the permission of Ruh al-Qudus. Who is this? By Allah's permission, see. This verse refutes all of it anyway.

It refutes Gabriel. So how can people with this much knowledge, who have read books, not grasp this?

Do you see how it's understood? Yes, the words.

Had Allah willed, the nations that came after those prophets — look what you're saying — had Allah willed, that is, had that Ruh al-Qudus willed, the nations that came after the prophets would not have fought each other after clear proofs had come to them. of course, if Allah wills, He fulfils His purpose. But they fell into dispute, and among them some believed and some disbelieved. Had Allah willed, they would not have fought. But Allah does whatever He wills. Now here there is no such thing as 'Allah does whatever He wills'. for it to say 'whom He wills' here, the verse 'man yasha' would have to occur. What does it say here?

Velâkinnallâhe yef'alu mâ yurîd Two hundred fifty-third verse Maktetelû velâkinne But Allah does what has been decreed, it says. Allah does whatever He wills. Allah does what has been decreed. What does this mean? Now, when it says 'Allah does whatever He wills', He changes whatever He wants however He wants, does whatever He wants however He wants. It's not like that. What does it say? This denies many verses. When it says 'Allah does whatever He wills' — 'Allah does what has been decreed' — translating the verse, the two verses, that is, these verses, with that meaning denies many verses. What does it say? What does it deny?

Allah does whatever He wills. Has Allah programmed these worlds? With Us there is a book. It is preserved in the Preserved Tablet. Does it say nothing can be added or joined to it afterwards? And since the worlds have been programmed, since no one will step outside this program, since He knows what the living beings to come until the Day of Judgment will do, since not a leaf stirs without His permission, has every single thing been written down? Well, when you say 'Allah does whatever He wills', what else would He do besides this? Besides this, would He develop Himself too? It carries such meanings too. But when it says 'but Allah does what has been decreed', what are we saying? You make a plan, I make a plan.

But Allah says — what does He say? Allah is the best of planners, He says. Why? Because you will step outside destiny. And Allah makes a plan that will bring you inside destiny, and puts you there. So if you say 'Allah does what has been decreed', how beautiful: whatever has been decreed, He does those. Allah, the decreed things — however much you try to get outside, He will bring you and put you inside what has been decreed. He will put you inside your destiny. Do you see the meanings of the verses? Words — a play on words. Yes. If these, these too, had this knowledge, would they write it like this?

'We have read books, we know.' The word has given them pride, arrogance, a sense of greatness. Yes.

We will explain the words here one by one like this. God willing, they will learn. People will explain the verses of the Quran very beautifully. God willing. There are many more, but we didn't explain them because they have double meanings. I mean, while a fine book ought to be written, the appointed servants of Allah Almighty, the appointed servants on earth, refrain from it. And they take its responsibility fully upon their backs. And we too, as far as our strength allows, by explaining here, are trying to build people up.

Saying 'I am fulfilling Allah Almighty's duty on earth', saying 'I am fulfilling the duty' — the people in those posts — I always say: if I am wrong, please, they must show me my mistake according to these verses and guide me to the right path. If I am explaining wrongly, then on the Day of Judgment, at the Supreme Court, may all my mistakes be on them, my burden on them. If I am telling the truth and they know it and keep silent, everyone will live their own state within their own destiny and prove themselves to Allah Almighty. Their sin is between them and Allah. How beautiful. Yes. We curse no one.

Yes. Cursing doesn't befit us. If he knows the truth, yes, knows what is right, but because of egoistic feelings doesn't come to what is right, carries on indifferently, saying it came like this and goes like this, his sin is between him and Allah; it doesn't concern me. But if I am wrong, he is obliged to correct me, obliged to tell me, obliged to say what is right rightly; according to enjoining good I say this. I say it according to the verse on enjoining good. He must direct me to what is right. So if he doesn't, my burden is on him. And Allah Almighty is our witness. Yes.

After explaining these parts this much, we read the correct version. Some of the prophets are superior to others. Allah spoke with some of them and raised some of them in ranks. We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear miracles and strengthened him with Ruh al-Qudus. Had Allah willed, the nations that came after those prophets, after clear proofs had come to them, would not have fought each other. But they fell into dispute, and among them some believed and some disbelieved. Had Allah willed, they would not have fought. Look, Allah's willing is here too. I mean, willing is not always my willing; Allah's willing is here too. I mean: I would have done it, why didn't You? We gave you will, We left you free with your own will, We wrote your wishes and desires for you as destiny, what more do you want from Me? I don't interfere with you, says Allah Almighty.

How beautiful. But had I willed, I would have done it like this to you too, He says. He would. Now why do you mix up this willing with that willing, with human willing? Why do you mix up human will with Allah's will and, human will from him, by removing it — sir, you go as far as saying 'that doesn't mean disregarding that will', you come that far, and if, removing that will from him, the partial will from man, He doesn't disregard it, then since Allah Almighty has removed his will from him, well, since He causes him, in a state without will, to have His own will exercised over him — aren't you getting ahead in ascribing attributes to Allah Almighty?

It's astonishing. Astonishing.

Yes. But they fell into dispute, and among them some believed and some disbelieved. Had Allah willed, they would not have fought. But Allah does what has been decreed. How beautifully it puts it. What has been decreed. Whatever has been decreed, whatever written, whatever programmed — He does what has been decreed. Why does He do what has been decreed? Perfect; above Him there is not even a slip, sir, I mean no knowledge. No perfection, no further slip. Completely, completely perfect. He does what has been decreed. There are very great words here too. Let it rest. There are very great words. Yes.
