Al-Baqarah 258: Did you not see the one who has (worldly) possessions from Allah(‘s dominion) and engaged in arguments with Abraham about his Lord? Then, Abraham told him “my Lord is the One giving life and death”. And he in return said, “I am the one giving life and death”. Abraham said, “Allah brings the sun from the east; why don’t you bring it from the west?” The infidel was baffled upon this. Oppressors do not desire the guidance of Allah (as long as they are upon that character).

The misinterpretation

Have you not seen the one who was arrogant and argued with Abraham about his Lord because God had given him property? That's when Abraham said, "My Lord is the one who gives life and kills." He said that I am the one who gives life and kills. Ibrahim; “God brings the sun from the east, so bring it from the west,” he said. Thereupon the disbeliever was stunned. Allah does not guide the cruel people.

The right translation

Did you not see the one who has (worldly) possessions from Allah(‘s dominion) and engaged in arguments with Abraham about his Lord? Then, Abraham told him “my Lord is the One giving life and death”. And he in return said, “I am the one giving life and death”. Abraham said, “Allah brings the sun from the east; why don’t you bring it from the west?” The infidel was baffled upon this. Oppressors do not desire the guidance of Allah (as long as they are upon that character).

Explanation

This is the wrong place in this verse: Allah does not guide the wrongdoers. First of all, what is guidance? We need to know this. To be guided is to embrace Islam. Those who are outside Islam, non-Muslims, who pass on to the Hereafter without having attained Hidayet, are the eternal inmates of Hell.

The Muslims who are guided, even if they are wrongdoers and go to the Hereafter with their burden of sins, will suffer the punishment for their sins in Hell in the Hereafter and finally enter Paradise. Now, in this case, are there not non-Muslims and infidels who convert to Islam and become guided? There are many. Or when many cruel people who were Muslims and went to the Hereafter as Muslims, are they not guided? So the correct explanation of this verse is that the wrong-doers do not seek Allah's guidance (as long as they are in that state).

The more the verses are opened with footnotes, the more it becomes clear that the verses are opened incorrectly. Allah (swt) even says in the 131st verse of Surah Al-Imran 131- (Beware of the Fire prepared for the disbelievers). In this case, in the life of hell, the Muslims will not even be touched by fire because of the light of faith. In the end, they will be punished and will enter Paradise.

What is said in the video

It's on page 257.

Yes, verse 258, page 42. Have you not seen the one who, because Allah had given him dominion, out of arrogance, entered into argument with Abraham about his Lord? it says. You know, the idols, the heads of the idols. Then Abraham had said: my Lord is the one who gives life and causes death. And he had said: I am the one who gives life and causes death. Who is the one saying this? Nimrod, Nimrod. Nimrod. Yes. Abraham: Allah brings the sun from the east. Come on, you bring it from the west, he said. Thereupon the disbeliever was dumbfounded. Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people, it says. Yes.

Where is the mistake here? The wrongdoing people are not guided. Yet it is right up to the end. Look how we translated that part. People who persist in wrongdoing are not guided. Yes.

Allah's — the one who, inclined from dominion to worldly things, out of arrogance, about his Lord entered into argument with Abraham — have you not seen the one who entered? Then Abraham had said: my Lord is the one who gives life and causes death. And he had said: I am the one who gives life and causes death. Abraham said: how will you give life and cause death? A man you are going to execute, he said. I inspired him, he said, I give life, he said. And the person I gave life to, he said, I take and hang, he said, I kill, he said. Then Abraham (peace be upon him) said: Allah, he said, my Lord, he said, makes the sun rise from the east. You make it rise from the west, he said.

There he was dumbfounded anyway.

Abraham: Allah brings the sun from the east. Come on, you bring it from the west, he said. Thereupon the disbeliever was dumbfounded. As long as wrongdoing people remain in that state, they do not want Allah's guidance. Yes.
