Al-Baqarah 264: Oh you believers! Do not make your alms get wasted by showing off with them, and making it means to oppress (the needy), like those deniers of Allah and the Hereafter do! Their case resembles a flat rock with a little bit of soil on top; when heavy rain pours, it gets cleared off that soil and becomes bare smooth. They cannot gain anything from what they have committed (apparently good deeds). The blasphemers would not come to the right path of Allah (As long as they are in the state of blasphemy).

The misinterpretation

O you who believe! Do not render your good deeds in vain by reproaching and hurting, like a person who spends his wealth to show off without believing in Allah and the Last Day. The situation of such is like a flat rock with some soil on it, when a heavy rain hit it and turned it into a bare smooth rock. They cannot have anything from what they have earned. Allah does not guide the disbelievers to the straight path.

The right translation

Oh you believers!

Explanation

Where this verse goes wrong is that Allah does not guide the disbelievers. There are many non-Muslims who found the right path and embraced Islam. If this verse is opened in this way, our Lord will be characterized. That is, Allah (swt) did not guide the group of disbelievers, but created them as they are and created them to be in Hell. Thus, by opening the 179th verse of Surah A'râf incorrectly: "Surely We have created many of mankind and jinn for Hell". Thus they have slandered our Lord by confusing the Verses of Allah (swt) with each other.

The truth of the 179th Verse of Surat al-A'râf: "And We have certainly created Hell for many of mankind and jinn. Allah (swt) has sent the Holy Qur'an as a mercy to the worlds and as a light to enlighten people. In this case, what would people think about Allah (swt) if He were to attribute Allah (swt) with these incorrectly opened verses that do not correspond to each other in the book that He sent as a mercy of our Lord to enlighten the worlds and enlighten the people? In fact, the verses that were opened in this way were deliberately opened in order to fragment the religion of Islam, and they tried to blame the falsehood on the truth by contradicting the most crucial and difficult to understand verses that were studied for hundreds of years.

The doors of repentance are open for people at the moment of death, until they die. This is because our Lord has created human beings incomplete and faulty. In this case, a person may have lived in a period of ignorance and sunk in the mire of sin. If a person repents before the end of his life, before the moment of death, without being shown what he went through from the time he came of age until the moment of death, he will pass on to the Hereafter as an Islamic man. But if his sins are more than his good deeds, he will be tormented in hell and finally be included in paradise.

In this verse, if the community of disbelievers continue in that state and pass on to the Hereafter, they will have passed on to the Hereafter without having attained the guidance of our Lord. Every soul has made a covenant with our Lord. People's desires and wishes have become their destiny. In this case, people pass on to the hereafter by living their destiny and proving what kind of a person they are in the guesthouse of this visible world.

What is said in the video

We have come to verse 264. O you who believe — we are reading the wrong version. O you who believe, like the one who, though he does not believe in Allah and the Last Day, spends his wealth to show off, do not nullify your good deeds by reproaching and hurting. When we do a good deed, to whom, how much, at what time we gave what — we forget it and move on. What is this like? You took a stone in your hand. The stone — this — the sum you'll give to the person you'll do good to — consider it that sum. This stone, into a bottomless, blind well — if you throw it, can you ever see that stone again? No.

That's how we are too. The wealth given to that person — to whom, how much, what you gave, you can't tell. It was given for Allah. Yes. But people, showing off to each other, the provision Allah Almighty gave, in a way that makes that person envious: look, I have such wealth, I have such wealth. Sir, you can only be my servant with this wealth. And I feed you and give you drink with it. And you are obliged to serve me. If the man has a bit of business and went somewhere else and couldn't do a bit of his master's work: shame on you! I helped you so much. Sir, you've been ungrateful for this, he says, and reproaches him.

So his good deed melts away in the rain. Yes.

What are we saying here? O you who believe! Like the one who, though he does not believe in Allah and the Last Day, spends his wealth to show off, do not nullify your good deeds by reproaching and hurting. We liken the state of such a one to a smooth rock with a little soil on it — he is like, look what a beautiful example Allah Almighty gives here. The state of such a one is like a smooth rock with a little soil on it which a downpour has struck and left as a bare, hard rock. They cannot keep anything of what they have earned. Allah does not guide the disbelievers to the right path. In the end it talked nonsense. Allah supposedly does not guide the disbelievers to the right path.

Well, now I'm asking: Is there no one among the disbelievers who comes to the right path? There is. Then how is that part? Let's read that part to you, then. We've read this from the beginning.

We've read this part from the beginning. Let's read the very end.

Sir, they cannot keep anything of what they have earned. Disbelievers — now there's a parenthesis here. As long as they remain in that state — parenthesis closed — the disbelievers, this parenthesis, if you like, don't see it — do not come to Allah's right, Allah's right path. That is, as long as they remain in that state, to Allah's right path they do not come. So if he changes that state and starts searching for religion and uses his mind — according to the verse 'will you not use your minds?' — and finds the truth, he is saved from disbelief. Yes. How beautiful.

Yes.
