Explanation
The misinterpretation
Behold, the angels said; O Mary! God chose you; He created you pure and preferred you to all the women of the world.
The right translation
Remember that the angels said “Oh Mary! Allah has made you among the righteous, due to your worship, Allah has purified you, and exalted you amongst the women!”
Explanation
And here is where it goes wrong: Allah has chosen you; He has made you pure and preferred you to all the women of the world.
When each human being made a covenant with our Lord in the realm of Lahut before they were born, our Lord graded them according to their degree of faith. Accordingly, Allah did not create anyone superior to anyone else. People are superior to each other in the sight of Allah by their faith in our Lord. Prophets are also superior to each other in degrees.
In this case, our Lord also elevated Maryam in terms of degrees due to the superiority of her faith. We have four great mothers. Hazrat Fatima will intercede for all women in the Hereafter. Our mother Khadija-i Kübra spent all her wealth for Islam. There is also our mother Asiya. It is wrong to say in the verse that our Lord preferred our mother Maryam to the women of the world. He chose you among the women of the world. This means that he has included you among these four great mothers.
What is said in the video
Surah Al Imran, verse 42, we have come to it. When the angels had said: O Mary, Allah has chosen you, created you pure, and preferred you over all the women of the world. Yes, now here
there is a big mistake, we have time.
When the angels had said: O Mary, Allah has chosen you, created you pure, and preferred you over all the women of the world.
The correct version is this: Remember when the angels had said: O Mary, Allah has made you one of the good through your worship, look, it didn't say He chose you. He made you one of the good, created you pure, and among the women of the world He selected you. Here it does not say He preferred you over all the women of the world. Look: He selected you among the women of the world. "Selected" means He included you among the chosen. That is, He included you among the selected, the chosen. Khadija al-Kubra, our mother Fatima, our mother Asiya; He joined you to them. Yes. Now the Prophet (peace be upon him) too, in one of his hadiths, says this.
The Prophet (peace be upon him), in one of his hadiths: Hasbuka min nisa'il-alamin, hasbuka min nisâi'l-âlemîn. The Prophet (peace be upon him) in his hadith: To be known among the four great women of the worlds is enough for you, he declares. Look. To be known among the four great women of the worlds is enough for you, he says. To whom does he say it? He says it to our mother Mary. Yet what does it say here? Created you pure and preferred you over all the women of the world. This is directly a word of the Christian understanding. Yes. Isn't it beautiful? That is why we want the Diyanet to invite us, and together, together with them we would do it in consultation. Yes.
I don't need to study, I mean, I don't need to study the verses. I wrote these without any study; I would read. My Lord, by His mercy to us, would write, with the knowledge He gave me. Yes, let's finish this page, let's finish this page. When the angels had said: O Mary, Allah has chosen you, created you pure, and preferred you over all the women of the world. We explained this part, explained it. What did we say? Remember when the angels had said: O Mary, Allah has made you one of the good through your worship, created you pure, and selected you among the women of the world. And what did the Prophet (peace be upon him) say?
Let's read that part once more like this.
Only, let's not make a remark.
Hasbuka min nisa'il-alamin, hasbuka min nisa'il-alamin. That is: Among the four great women of the worlds, to be known is enough for you, he declares, he said. These are written in our tafsirs.
If you consult our tafsirs, you will find it there. It is written there in even more beautiful, extensive detail. With extensive commentary. Yes.
