The misinterpretation

How can you disbelieve when the verses of Allah are being recited to you and the Messenger of Allah is among you? Whoever clings to Allah has certainly been guided to the straight path.

The right translation

While Allah’s verses are read to you and Allah’s Messenger is among you, how can you disbelieve? Those who hold firmly to Allah have entered the straight path.

Explanation

What is wrong with this verse: "Guided to the right path". This is correct: He has found the right path. Allah (swt) does not guide anyone to the right path and He does not lead anyone off the right path. Because a person is responsible for what he does of his own volition. A person's destiny has been written for him and he has written his good and bad deeds in his book as rewards and sins. In return, he will give his account to Allah (swt) in the Hereafter. Therefore, he is not guided, but he has found the right path.

What is said in the video

On page 62, Surah Al Imran, verse 101. I'm reading the wrong one here too. How can you turn to disbelief while Allah's verses are recited to you, and moreover the Messenger of Allah is among you, how can you turn to disbelief? Look how beautiful, "I brought you to life", it says in the verse. The Messenger of Allah is also among you, it says. How can you turn to disbelief? Whoever holds fast to Allah has certainly been led to the right path, it says. Now here, the word "has been led"

ascribes an attribute to Allah Almighty. While Allah's verses are recited to you, and moreover the Messenger of Allah is among you, how can you turn to disbelief? Whoever holds fast to Allah has certainly entered the right path. Look how beautiful. Now let's suppose this.

I have gathered people.

I say: to me — I bring people from here across to the other side — from here, by one road, you will come to me. "The right road is this one," I say, look, "the right road is this one; if you come to me by this road, you will reach me. If you go by this road, or by this road, you will get far away from me, you won't find me," I say. And on this road there are things suited to a person's nafs, all kinds of satanic (?) things that will attract people of every kind. What does Allah Almighty say in one of His verses? Women, golden crops, glittering gold, my dear, silver, appeared attractive to people, it says. "Appeared attractive" — they rendered that wrongly too, as "We made them appear attractive to them", it says.

Appeared attractive. So if some people take the attractive road, they are far from Allah, but if he takes the road that will reach his Lord, then he finds the truth.

Yes.

What does it say here? While Allah's verses are recited to you and moreover the Messenger of Allah is among you, how can you turn to disbelief? Whoever holds fast to Allah has certainly entered the right path, we say. Has entered the right path. Yes. "There's a problem (?), Hodja," he says.
