Ali 'Imran 156: Oh you believers! Do not be like the deniers who say about your brothers who go to campaigns on earth and fight; “If they had stayed with us, they would not have died, and they would not have been killed”. With this thought, they have planted into their hearts a regret (for their closed ones they have lost). Allah is the One giving and taking life. Allah sees what you are doing.

The misinterpretation

O believers! Do not be like those who say about their brethren who went on a campaign or fought in the land, who disbelieved and said that if they had stayed with us, they would not have died or been killed. Allah put this conviction in their hearts as a longing (wound) (incurable for the loved ones they lost). It is God who gives life. God sees what you do.

The right translation

Oh you believers!

Explanation

This is where this verse goes wrong: Allah has put this conviction in their hearts (as an irreparable wound of grief for their lost relatives). The truth is: With these thoughts they have put in their hearts (an irreparable wound of) longing (for their lost relatives).

The translators of the Verses, while explaining the Verses, have always removed their own will from the people and used the will of our Lord on the people. However, our Lord, who made a covenant with people one by one in the 172nd verse of Sûra A'râf, has written the desires and wishes of people as their destiny. In this case, our Lord does not interfere in what people will do in the world again. Therefore, if people's desires and wishes have become their destiny, then people who do not know how this covenant was made have opened the verses by blaming our Lord. Our Lord does not oppress any human being. He does not put an irreparable wound of longing in their hearts. Since people have dictated their destiny to our Lord according to their will, they will either find peace in this world through their deeds or words they say or deeds they do, or they will put such an irreparable wound of longing in their hearts. People will be held accountable for their deeds in the Hereafter. If our Lord puts an irreparable wound of longing in our hearts, or if our Lord removes our will from us and uses His will over us and makes us do bad things, and blames us for what we have done, does that not prejudice the justice of our Lord? Is there no point in making a covenant with our Lord?

What is said in the video

God willing, you (?) say: I understood it better, may Allah be pleased with you, sir, he says they will understand, God willing.

In the hundred fifty-sixth verse, wrongly rendered. This is the hundred fifty-sixth verse of Surah Al Imran. O you who believe (I'm reading the wrong one again), you, about their brothers who set out on journeys in the land or went to fight, those who disbelieve and say, ‘Had they stayed with us, they would not have died, not been killed, would not have been killed’ – do not be like them. Allah placed this conviction in their hearts, for the loved ones they lost, as an incurable wound of longing. Allah Almighty – the one who gives life, and the one who takes it, is Allah. Allah sees well what you do, it says.

Now, where is the mistake here? Look, I'll read it once more. O you who believe, you, about their brothers who set out on journeys or went to fight, those who disbelieve and say, ‘Had they stayed with us, they would not have died, would not have been killed’ – do not be like them. Allah placed this conviction in their hearts, for the loved ones they lost, as an incurable wound of longing.

Here – Allah Almighty puts nothing into anyone's heart by His own will.

Because people use their own will, with the decisions they make by their own will they put an incurable wound into their own hearts.

It is Allah who gives life and who takes it. Allah is the one who sees well what you do. Here,

the correct version of what was wrongly rendered, we read like this. With these thoughts they put into their hearts, for the loved ones they lost, an incurable wound of longing. Look how beautiful. Who are they? With these thoughts of theirs, they, with these thoughts of theirs, put into their hearts, for the loved ones they lost, an incurable wound of longing. After all, everyone will be called to account for the deeds they actually did. It is Allah who gives life and who takes it. Allah sees what you do well, it says. He knows and sees it well. Yes.
