The misinterpretation

Allah took a promise from those who were given the Book, saying, "You will definitely reveal it to people, and you will not hide it." But they ignored it and exchanged it for a little worldly thing. How bad is their shopping.

The right translation

Allah has said to those who were given a Book; “You will proclaim it to people and you will not hide it!” However, they disregarded this and exchanged it for a small worldly return. How bad a trade theirs is.

Explanation

This is where this verse is wrong: They say: He took a promise. The correct one is: He said.

Here you can think like this: What is the difference between he has spoken and he said? There is a mountain of difference between these two. If our Lord took a promise from people, it goes back to Elestu bi Rabbikum. It goes back to the covenant of the people with our Lord. In this case, it means that our Lord could not reflect His promise to them in their destiny, and that they reneged on their promise of their own volition, going beyond what our Lord had written for them in their destiny, which means that our Lord was incapacitated.

He said that our Lord sends His Books to people through Prophets. And the Prophets address people with the Verses in the Books of Allah. In this case, people either follow the Book of our Lord or they do not. When they come to this world, having previously made a covenant with our Lord in Kalu Bela, our Lord reveals His Verses to people without discriminating between them. When people make a covenant with our Lord, they live out their destiny and prove what kind of people they are in the world. So we can see that there is a huge difference between the word we have taken the word and the word we said.

What is said in the video

Let's see what's where. 74. Al Imran, on page 74, verse 187.

Allah, from those who were given the Book: ‘You will surely make it clear to people. You will not conceal it.’

Now, I compare this part with myself. Hodja, are you a prophet? Look, now listen.

Prophethood has ended. Those who look for a calf under the ox say this word. Yes. Allah, from those who were given the Book: ‘You will surely make it clear to people, you will not conceal it,’ it says. I say I compare this part with myself. Then in what sense do you compare it, Hodja?

If a Book was given – this Book is the Holy Qur'an – if this Holy Qur'an was given to the Prophet, the Prophet gifted it to his community. It was given to me too. Is that so? Was it given to all of us? It was. Well, besides its being given, did Allah Almighty also give me knowledge? I have no teacher in this world. I didn't take this knowledge from anyone but Allah. My Lord taught me this. So I am obliged to explain this knowledge to people. As I tell the truth, those bound to falsehood try, with falsehood, to cover the truth with falsehood. And we say to people – to those who try to cover the truth with falsehood, we say: if we are on a wrong path, invite me to the truth with verses of the Qur'an, I will turn to the truth, I say, I will confirm you – if with verses you convince me. No such person can come before me. And since no such person comes before me, if I were on the wrong path, does he take on my burden of sin or not?

He does. So if he says nothing to me and still carries on in the false way, does he become a sinner or not?

It's this clear.

The knowledge given to me – these mistakes written by people with your doctorates, how did this man find them, though he has no teacher in this world? Yes. What does it say here? Allah, from those who were given the Book: ‘You will surely make it clear to people, you will not be able to conceal it.’ I explain it too; I don't conceal it. Saying this, He took a pledge, it says. From whom? From the prophets. So did Allah take a pledge from you too? The scholars are the heirs of the prophets. If Allah Almighty raises a servant, He doesn't give him that knowledge so he keeps it to himself. Tell it to My servants, He says.

So more or less He has taken a pledge from us too. We too are obliged to tell this.

How evil is the trade they made, it says. But they turned a deaf ear to it – saying this He took a pledge. But they turned a deaf ear to it. They exchanged it for a small worldly gain. Who is this? The rabbis, the priests – what did they do? The verses of the Book that Allah had given, for worldly gain they changed. They gave fatwas to suit their interests. There: how evil is the trade they made, it says here. Somewhere there is a mistake. Allah to those who were given the Book: ‘You will surely make it clear to people, you will not conceal it,’ had said. But they turned a deaf ear to it, exchanged it for a small worldly gain; how evil is the trade they made, it says. Yes, here it says ‘took a pledge’ – here, here the word ‘took a pledge’ is wrong. There is no word ‘took a pledge’ here. I mean, the wrong one I'm reading anyway: explaining, ‘you will make it clear, you will not conceal it,’ saying this He took a pledge. Whereas what do we say? ‘You will surely make it clear to people, you will not conceal it,’ He had said. He did not take a pledge. If He had – if Allah Almighty had bound the covenant that way, it would be impossible to change it anyway. Yes, ‘had said’ and ‘had taken a pledge’ are two different things. Allah Almighty sends the Qur'an: if you believe in it you go to paradise, if you don't, to hell – He had said, it says. ‘Had said’ is the meaning anyway. But when it says ‘had taken a pledge’, changing it would be impossible; they would have given their covenant that way. Yes, then for them to turn a deaf ear to it would be impossible. Well, Hodja, wouldn't you too turn a deaf ear – wouldn't you? Why should we believe you? If you say that: it is impossible for me to turn a deaf ear too.

Why is it impossible? Because your character doesn't allow it. What did you tie your character to? Hodja, I know my covenant; because I know my covenant, I know my character too. Because I trust Allah, because I trust Allah's word too, it is impossible for me to change. What did you rely on, Hodja? I relied on my covenant. Well, how do you know your covenant? Ah, I know my covenant, my covenant with my Lord.

When Allah Almighty made the covenant with me – there, Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172 – He showed the times. Because I liked this time, I chose this time. I said: let me come in this time. He leaves even the time to a person's own command. He doesn't interfere with a person at all.

Because Allah Almighty protects His servants with His mercy, He says: if you come in this time you will slip. Come in that time, come and go as a common person, He says. As a common person. And I say: in this state, in this environment, a person able to protect himself – his rank will be much higher than the common people's, so, my Allah, I say, let me come in this world. Then He tells me: but you will slip. If I slip, protect me with Your mercy, and take my soul before I slip, I said. So the character is clear. For us to back out is impossible, to render the verses wrongly is impossible. A world full of jewels, give another full, give millions full of jewels, let's say it will change – because the whole existence of this realm, from atom to globe, is Allah's. Every soul will taste death; the inheritance of the heavens and the earth will remain to Allah.

Which of it will be yours? For a few hours of worldly life, deceived by these jewels, will you make your life in the hereafter a dungeon? Come on. That's why the characters are settled. You cannot render the verses wrongly.

Allah to those who were given the Book: ‘You will surely make it clear to people. You will not conceal it.

You will not conceal it,’ He had said. But they turned a deaf ear to it. They exchanged it for a small worldly gain. How evil is the trade they made, it says. Yes.
