The misinterpretation
What do you say to those who justify themselves! No, Allah clears whomever He wills, and no one sees injustice by a hair's stride.
The right translation
Did you not see the ones who declare themselves to be pure? Allah purifies those who wish that from Allah. And, without a doubt, no one will see the slightest injustice.
Explanation
This is where this verse goes wrong: They say: Allah justifies whom He wills. The truth is: Allah vindicates those who ask for forgiveness (from Him). Allah (swt) has no will over people in the worldly realm. The opening of this verse has been opened as a footnote in the previous verse.
What is said in the video
has fallen into it, which means he has committed a great sin. Yes. We come to the forty-ninth verse.
The forty-ninth verse. What do you say about those who make themselves pure, it says. No, Allah makes pure whom He wills, and no one is wronged even by a hair's breadth. Now here the words contradict each other. Look, how do they contradict? What do you say about those who make themselves pure? What do you understand from this? One: there are those who, while in disbelief, want to make themselves out as pure. Don't look at me, he says. You know, he drinks, gambles, commits adultery, and says, look at my heart, look at my heart. That's how he tries to make himself out as pure. And then there's one who has repented and is making himself pure.
That one is clean, that one, sir, has been stripped of his sin and is the one Allah Almighty has forgiven, I mean, the person who has taken refuge in His forgiveness – what do you say about him, it says. Now which one do you understand from this? There's a twofold meaning here now. Allah makes pure whom He wills, it says. Whereas Allah makes pure the one who asks it of Allah. No one is wronged even by a hair's breadth. So whoever asks Allah Almighty for pardon and forgiveness, whoever turns back from the period of ignorance, whoever repents of the sins he committed – the Prophet (peace be upon him) says in a hadith as well: Even if your sins had risen up to the clouds in the sky, when with an intense heart you repent, Allah Almighty turns those sins of yours into good deeds, he says.
There is no servant without sin. Just return to Allah. Just say Allah. What will you say? O my Lord, You created us incomplete. I lived through a period of ignorance. Because of the environment I was in, sir, the environment I grew up in, I, in such sedition and debauchery, have ruined myself. But now I have repented. Never again to such a deed, to such fraud, to such theft, to such crooked paths, to the paths of denying You will I turn – with firm resolve, sir, I have repented. When he says, forgive me, my Allah, and when he enters the right path, will Allah – I won't forgive you, sir, you are a man of the crooked path – say that to him?
Come to the right path. Yes. Look, what do we say here? What do you say about those who make themselves pure? Allah makes pure the one who asks Him for forgiveness. Look, do you see? And no one is wronged even by a hair's breadth. How beautiful. What do you say about those who make themselves pure? Allah purifies the one who asks Him for forgiveness. Makes him pure. You know: I was on a bad path but I repented. What did I say? What do you say about those who make themselves pure? Allah makes pure the one who asks Him for forgiveness. And no one is wronged even by a hair's breadth, it says. This man was bad, but see – look how beautifully it says it.
Because he became pure, I forgave him too, He says. Well? Does it resemble the one above? Yes.
