The misinterpretation

And We guided them to a straight path.

The right translation

And they would have been on a straight path.

Explanation

This is the wrong place in this verse: We would have guided them to a straight path, and the truth is: They would have been on a straight path. Why did our Lord send human beings into the world? He sent them to witness for themselves what kind of people they are. In this case, Allah (swt) does not guide anyone to the right path, since people receive rewards and sins by their own will and actions. Allah (swt) shows people the right path. Every human being makes his judgment using his own will.

What is said in the video

Yes. Verse 68 of Surah An-Nisa is a wrongly rendered verse. They rendered this part like this: And We would guide them to a straight path, it says. I mean, this – Allah Almighty does not take anyone's will, people's will, away from over them and tell anyone: you come here, you go on this right path, you do this, I will lead you to the right path. Why, Allah Almighty has already sent the Holy Qur'an to the worlds so that you come to the right path. Everyone, as a result of the covenant given to Allah Almighty when making the covenant with Him, each person, to prove what kind of person he is, came into the world.

And by the deeds he does here, a person will earn reward and sin. Allah Almighty will lead no one either to the right path or to the crooked path; He will not interfere with people. So in this case people will be called to account for the deeds they actually did. So you cannot blame Allah Almighty here. Whereas the correct form of this verse: and they too would have been on a right path path. If you too had obeyed the Holy Qur'an, you too would have been on a right path yourself. Whereas what does it say here? And We would guide them to a straight path, it says. Good heavens.
