Al-Ma'idah 6: Oh you believers! When you stand up to establish the prayer, wash your faces and your hands up to your elbows, rub your heads (with water) and wash your feet up to your heels. If you become junoob, make a complete wash. If you are sick or on travel, or if you came from the toilet or have approached women and could not find water in these cases, make ablution (tayammum) with clean earth by wiping your face and hands (up to your elbows) with it. Allah does not want to cause hardship on you, but Allah wants to purify you and complete Allah’s blessings on you so that you will be grateful.

The misinterpretation

O you who believe! When you get up to pray, wipe your faces with your hands up to your elbows and your heads, and wash your feet up to the ankles. If you are junub, perform ablution. If you are sick or on a journey, or if one of you comes from the toilet, or if you have touched women and you cannot find water in these situations, make tayammum with clean earth and wipe your face and hands (up to the elbows) with it. God does not want to cause you any difficulties. But He wants to purify you and complete His favor on you. Hope you will be grateful.

The right translation

Oh you believers!

Explanation

This is the wrong opening in the verse: It is hoped for. As we have explained in the previous Verses, our Lord says that there is not a single living creature that will come until the Day of Judgment that we will not know what it will do. Accordingly, the word "hopefully" adjectivizes our Lord. Because here is the equivalent of the word hopefully: Our Lord is unaware of people's future, but in time, according to people's behavior, a situation arises in which He will evaluate them according to their condition, which is a prejudice to His attributes of incompleteness.

The word lealle is mentioned in this verse. The word lealle has many meanings in Arabic. It is the equivalent of such words as hopefully, perhaps so and so, so and so, Ta ki. The translators have never used the word Ta ki. The equivalent of the word Lealle is Ta ki. That is to say, it is the opportunity of a unit of time that our Lord has given to people who are living in disbelief in a tribe, because He knows that they will actually convert to Islam. Also, the word lealle is a demonstrative pronoun. Therefore, the word to be used in this verse is "until", not "hopefully".

What is said in the video

You should know.

A somewhat long verse. Let's see where the mistake is here. "O you who believe, when you rise to perform the prayer, wash your faces, your hands up to the elbows, wipe your heads, and wash your feet up to the ankles." That is, it is talking about ablution. Yes.

"If you are in a state of major impurity, take a full ablution." Of course this is normal. What breaks a person's ablution, for example? He urinates, he defecates. Blood comes out, he vomits a mouthful. Or else he has dozed off, fallen asleep. In this way a person's ablution is lost.

Our arms up to our elbows, our hands, our faces; after rinsing our mouths and noses with water, one wipes the head. After washing the feet up to the ankles, we have right then taken the ablution for prayer. If a person is in a state of major impurity, he will take a full ablution.

"If you are ill or on a journey, or one of you comes from the toilet, or you have touched women, and in these states you cannot find water, perform tayammum with clean earth and wipe your faces and your hands up to the elbows with it." Now it happens that with his wife a person has had marital relations, or he has slept, and during that sleep a person becomes impure. In this case the person will perform tayammum. We all know tayammum, but let me describe it to you once. One, we said: to perform tayammum we strike our hands on clean earth like this, twice. Two strikes and one intention, after all.

After striking our hands on the earth twice, we bring our two thumbs side by side and, in this way, after dusting off our hands, we open our left palm. We pass the back of our right hand through our left palm like this. And like this, after the elbow we turn it and bring it here. First, when we strike our hands on the earth, after making two strikes, we wipe our face. First the face is wiped. The face. What do we do? After striking our hands on the earth and dusting them off like this, with our hands we wipe our face. The second time - two strikes, after all. The second time, we again strike our hands on the earth, dust them off and open our left palm.

We take the back of our right hand through our left palm up to the elbow. We turn our hand. This time we open our right palm. The left hand, its back, its outer side, one passes through the inside of the hand. Takes it up to the elbow. Turns the hand. We take it out. Our ablution is done. Until when? Until one finds water. When there is water, the tayammum is broken. That is, it loses its validity. Yes.

"Allah does not want to place any hardship on you. Rather He wants - you, cleanliness - to make you completely clean and to complete His blessing which He has bestowed on you. It is hoped that you will be grateful," it says. Up to the end, this part is correct. Up to the end, here. It says "it is hoped that", you know; "it is hoped that, it is hoped that" - when it says that, Allah Almighty, you know, may perhaps forgive you. Whereas if Allah Almighty says something and people put it into practice, here "it is hoped that Allah Almighty forgives him". "So that they" - well, "so that they understand and give thanks." That is, not "it is hoped that you will be grateful", but "so that they understand and give thanks". That is, within Allah Almighty's... that is, among those people, which one is in Islam and which one is rebellious, Allah Almighty knows that.

"So that" - that is, a demonstrative pronoun. Here Allah Almighty, by His sign to people, they, that is, those who attain salvation are saved. And it is they who give thanks, it says. Yes.
