Al-Ma'idah 13: Because they have not kept their promises, their hearts have hardened, and due to that We have cursed them. They change the places of verses (alter their Books) and forgot an important part of the laws (from the Torah) that was taught to them. With the exception of a few among them, you will always see treachery from them. But forgive them and do not mind them. Indeed, Allah loves the ones who commit good deeds.

The misinterpretation

We cursed them for breaking their promises and hardened their hearts. They change the places of the words (they distort their Books) and have forgotten an important part of the decrees (Torah) they were taught. You will always see treachery from them, except for a few of them. However, forgive them and ignore them. Surely, Allah loves those who do good.

The right translation

Because they have not kept their promises, their hearts have hardened, and due to that We have cursed them. They change the places of verses (alter their Books) and forgot an important part of the laws (from the Torah) that was taught to them. With the exception of a few among them, you will always see treachery from them. But forgive them and do not mind them. Indeed, Allah loves the ones who commit good deeds.

Explanation

Here again they have misunderstood the verse by attributing shortcomings to our Lord. The wrong place: We cursed them because they broke their promise. The truth is: Their hearts were hardened because they did not keep My promises, (so) We cursed them.

We cursed them for breaking their promises has a different meaning. Their hearts were hardened because they did not keep My promises. (In this case) We cursed them, the meaning of the verse is different. The fact that they broke their promise at the wrong opening means that our Lord took a promise from them and they broke it, which means that He changed their fate. But when He says, "We cursed them because they did not keep their promises," it means that they were cursed because they did not listen to the word of our Lord and exceeded the limits set by our Lord. Here, every person will be rewarded for what they have done.

What is said in the video

When someone borrows: 'I am guarantor for his debt; if he doesn't pay, I'll pay,' in that sense. Yes.

Verse 13 has also been rendered wrongly here. What does verse 13 say? Because they broke their pledges, We cursed them. Yet no one who gives a pledge to Allah Almighty can step outside that pledge. Because Allah Almighty, according to those pledges, writes people's own wishes for them as their destiny. Yes.

Because they broke their pledges, We cursed them and hardened their hearts, it says. Now here Allah Almighty is entirely angry with them, and because of this anger He hardens their hearts. So here they are ascribing attributes to Allah Almighty. They change the words from their places. They distort their books. They also forgot a large part of the rulings taught to them, that is, of the Torah. Except for a few of them, you will always see treachery from them. Still, pardon them and pay it no heed. Indeed, Allah... those who rebel? What does it say? Allah loves those who do good, it says. Not those who rebel, but those who do good He loves.

Now here there is a mistake at the beginning. Let us, you know, explain it to you. Because they broke their pledges, We cursed them and hardened their hearts. Whereas it goes like this: My pledges, their pledges, what does it say here? 'Because they broke their pledges.' Whereas, Allah Almighty: because they did not keep My pledges, their hearts became hardened. Yes, in that case We cursed them. They changed the words from their places, they distort their books. They also forgot a large part of the rulings taught to them, of the Torah. Except for a few of them, you will always see treachery from them.

Still, pardon them and pay it no heed. Indeed, Allah loves those who do good, it says. Yes. So, Allah Almighty, according to their own minds, right away, that is, they fit Him into their own heads, into their own minds they fit Allah Almighty, and accordingly, if a person breaks His covenant, He does this to him. In return for it He gives the answer. Allah Almighty is free even from any deficient attribute. Yes.

No one will be able to question Him or call Him to account. And no one will find any deficiency in Allah Almighty.
