Al-Ma'idah 48: And We have sent to you the Book (Qur’an) with Truth as a confirmation and protection of the previous Book. Now judge over them with what Allah has sent down. Do not follow their desires by leaving aside the truth that came to you. We have given to each of you a divine law and a path. If Allah had desired, Allah would have created you as one nation. But (We have made it this way) for you to prove to yourselves (which character you are) about what We have given to you. So, compete in good deeds with each other. The return of each of you is to Allah. Allah will give you information (the truth) about the things about which you argue.

The misinterpretation
And We have sent you the Book (Quran) in truth to confirm and protect the previous Book. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed. Do not abandon the truth that has come to you and follow their desires. We have given each of you a law and a way. Had Allah willed, He would have made you one community. But when He gave you (in the ways and laws) to test you (he did so) So compete with one another in good works. Your return is to Allah. Now He will inform you (the truth) of what you differed on.
The right translation
And We have sent to you the Book (Qur’an) with Truth as a confirmation and protection of the previous Book. Now judge over them with what Allah has sent down. Do not follow their desires by leaving aside the truth that came to you. We have given to each of you a divine law and a path. If Allah had desired, Allah would have created you as one nation. The return of each of you is to Allah. Allah will give you information (the truth) about the things about which you argue.
Explanation
The wrong opening here is this: But when He gave it to you, He did so to try you (in the ways and the Shari'ah): But when We have given you (We have done this so that you may prove to yourselves what kind of a person you are in the ways and Shari'ahs)
The word "testing" refers to our Lord. Because it contradicts our Lord's verse that there is not a single creature that will come until the Day of Judgment that we do not know what it will do. The testing of people is for the people themselves. People do not know what kind of a person they are, they try to recognize them through their actions. Such words of testing attributed to our Lord not only characterize our Lord, but also reveal that our Lord is ignorant of the future.
In this case, Allah (swt) does not need to test people. Humans have been sent in this world to witness to themselves and to Allah (swt) what kind of a person they are. In the 134th verse of Surah Taha, our Lord says: "If We had destroyed them with a torment before the Qur'an, they would have said. We did this so that you would not say, "If you had sent us Prophets and books, we would have followed your Verses before we fell into this humiliating disgrace".) In other words, by sending you to the world and holding yourself as a witness, you will see what kind of a person you are in the Court-i Kübra and you will have no objection to where you will go in return for your crimes.
What is said in the video
Sir, what does verse 48 say?
Yes.
To you too, to confirm the previous book and to protect it, We sent down the book with truth, the Quran.
So judge between them by what Allah has sent down. These parts are right. I'm reading the wrong one, the wrongly rendered verse. Of course these parts are right. Anyway, at a certain point they ascribe such attributes to Allah that now, at those points, we explain it to you anyway.
So judge between them by what Allah has sent down: right. Do not abandon the truth that has come to you to follow their desires: this is right too. To each of you We have given a law and a way: right. Had Allah willed, He would have made you a single community: right. But in the way and laws He gave you, He did this to test you. So. So Allah doesn't know, and in the ways He gave us, He did this to test us. Now here such an attribute is given to Allah Almighty, whereas what are they denying here? If Allah is doing this to us to test us... until the Day of Judgement there is not a single creature to come of which We don't know what it will do, says Allah Almighty.
These worlds are programmed until the Day of Judgement. Now in that case, where does testing come from? Testing. What does testing mean? It means not knowing what a person will do and, by testing him, getting to know his state of mind. It means getting to know his condition somewhat. That is testing.
Yes. What does it say here now? 'But in what He gave you, in the way and laws, to test you He did it like this. So compete with one another in good deeds. The return of all of you is to Allah. Then the true side of the things you differed over He will make known to you.' Yes, if Allah Almighty is going to make known to them everything they differed over, then testing here... so the words here now fall into contradiction. You were going to test me, you were going to tell what kind of person I am. And also you'll inform us about what we differed over. Here now, look, pay attention. What is the correct form of this?
To you, to you too, to confirm the previous book, that is, the Torah, the Psalms and to confirm the Gospel, and to protect it, We sent down the book with truth, that is, the Quran. So judge between them by what Allah has sent down. Judge with justice. Do not abandon the truth that has come to you to follow their desires. This, Allah Almighty's beloved of Glory, (?) Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him), would not follow people, that he would invite people to Allah's law? He knows. Then why does He say this to the Prophet? We've always said: Allah Almighty, 'I'm telling you, my daughter; understand it, my daughter-in-law.' With that courteous word.
By showing the Prophet (peace be upon him) as an example. He won't follow, you see. Look, he didn't follow. Do you see? He always reminded you of Allah. That is, in a way that won't break people's hearts. His speaking through the Prophet (peace be upon him), His address to mankind. Yes.
Do not follow their desires. To each of you We have given a law and a way. Had Allah willed, He would have created you a single community. Of course, He would have programmed it. We would obey Him as a single community. But in the way and laws We gave you, so that you prove to yourselves what kind of person you are, We did it like this. This part. Since the Arabic word has no Turkish equivalent, we explained how the meaning comes in. In parentheses: in the way and laws, so that you prove to yourselves what kind of person you are, We did it like this. So compete with one another in good deeds. The return of all of you is to Allah.
The truth of those things you fell into, Allah will make known to you. That is, He will make it known, it says. Yes.
