The misinterpretation
O you who believe! Do not take Jews and Christians as friends. Because they are friends of each other. Your friends keeps them inside, they are made of. Surely, Allah does not guide the wrongdoers.
The right translation
Oh you believers! Do not take Jews and Christians as close friends since they are close friends of each other. Those who take them as close friends belong to them. Verily, those people who continue with oppression do not desire to enter the path of Allah.
Explanation
The wrong opening in this verse is this: Surely Allah does not guide a wrongdoing people. The truth is: Indeed, the people who continue in injustice do not want to enter the path of Allah's guidance.
In the wrong opening they say: Allah does not guide a wrongdoing people. This is not the words of a sane person. It can only be said by people whose eyes are blind, whose ears are deaf and whose hearts are sealed. If our Lord sent the Holy Qur'an as a mercy to the worlds, He sent the Holy Qur'an to bring people out of darkness into the light. In this case, He is inviting all human beings to Himself. Doesn't this saying that Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people, which is said in the wrong opening, doesn't it show that these people are opening by contradicting the verses? Isn't it contrary to the following verses:
Surat al-Baqarah: Allah is the friend of those who believe, He brings them out of darkness into light. As for those who disbelieve, their friend is Tâğut. He takes them from light to darkness. These are the inmates of Hell. They will stay there permanently.
Surah Ibrahim, Verse 1: Elif. Lam. Ra. (This is) a Book which We have sent down to you by the permission of their Lord, that you may guide mankind by the permission of their Lord out of darkness into the light, that is, into the way of Allah, the Almighty, the All-Powerful (and) the Praiseworthy.
Although there are many more Verses like these Verses. What is the use of their knowledge of Arabic if they open these Verses because Allah does not guide a wrongdoing people? By perverting the Verses of Allah, by deliberately or unintentionally making them contradict each other, do they not fall into the position of the people in the verse that says, "Who is more unjust than he who fabricates a lie against our Lord in return for His attributes?
What is said in the video
We take the verse from the beginning, let's read it from the start. O you who believe, do not take the Jews and the Christians as friends, it says. Allah Almighty: the Jews and the Christians, that is, non-Muslims,
since they will never enter Islam, if Islam too admires the non-Muslim's way of life and takes him as a friend, what does Allah Almighty say? He too is like them. For they are friends of one another. Whoever among you takes them as friends is one of them, it says. These parts are right. Now, we call right what is right. Right. Within a verse, sir, there are right parts. Because in that verse a single word goes outside the true word that Allah has spoken, this verse they have rendered wrongly, we say. Sir, where is that part? Now we're coming to it.
Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people, it says. Now, if we think with sound reason, sound reason: Allah Almighty sent this Holy Quran, this Holy Quran as a mercy to the worlds. What does 'the worlds' mean? To its idolaters, its Magians, its religious, its irreligious, to all the servants He created: O people, as your Lord, as the Creator of the worlds, if there is no other god besides Me, I to you, and if you are My servants, I am sending you this book with truth so that you return to My Essence: does He say that? Is there such a verse, Hodja? There is. What is that verse?
He sent the Quran as a mercy to the worlds. Ve mâ erselnâke illâ rahmeten lil-âlemîn. He also sent the Prophet as a mercy to the worlds. In this case, if the Prophet (peace be upon him) came as a mercy to the worlds, if the Quran too came as a mercy to the worlds, Allah Almighty is calling us to His Essence. Well now, while calling to His Essence, does this, this verse fit with that? What does it say? 'Allah does not guide the wrongdoers, the wrongdoers, the wrongdoing people.' Well, didn't You send the Quran as a mercy to the worlds? You sent it to invite to Your Essence. And here You say: He does not guide them.
Now the nonsense starts right here. And what have we done there?
O you who believe! Do not take the Jews and the Christians as friends. Right. We already said this part is right. For they are friends of one another. That is right too. Whoever among you takes them as friends is one of them. This is right too. Indeed, communities that persist in wrongdoing do not want to enter Allah's path of guidance. Otherwise, this verse that they translated as 'hurefa', this verse, sir, if they translate it as 'hurefa', what do they say? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. This contradicts this verse: The Quran was sent down as a mercy to the worlds. Now, what do some hodjas, those who don't know themselves, say?
The Quran came to the Muslim. Allah, Allah. These are words said on purpose. İnned-dîne indallâhil-İslâm. If in Allah's religion it is Islam, if He says: if you seek a religion other than Islam, then seek if it says seek another god, in the Torah, Psalms and Gospel are in the Holy Quran, with what mouth, with what mind do you say the Quran came to the Muslims?
Can you even imagine?
If the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel are in the Holy Quran, the Quran came to all people. Yes.
In this case, what do we say? Indeed, communities that persist in wrongdoing do not want to enter Allah's path of guidance.
Why don't they want to? Because when they made their covenant with Allah Almighty, in their covenant, as deniers of Allah they came. That is why Allah Almighty too called them lying disbelievers and wrote their covenants as destiny according to their own wishes. In this case, since they cannot step outside those destinies, they will never want to enter Islam.
