The misinterpretation
Then their excuses were nothing but saying that we were not associating partners for the sake of Allah, our Lord.
The right translation
And their excuse won’t be anything but saying “Swear by Allah, our Lord, we were not those who associated partners (with You)”.
Explanation
This is where this verse goes wrong: 'We did not become the associators'. The truth is: By Allah, they will not be able to say anything other than that we were not the associators. In this way the meaning is clear. The place where they have written incompletely, when it is said that nothing happened except that they said, "We did not associate partners", the Day of Judgment has not yet come. We have not been resurrected in the Hereafter and taken to account in the Court-i Kübra. We are still living the life of this world. In the wrong opening, they have opened the verse as if people have been resurrected in the Hereafter and are being held accountable before a judge. However, our Lord informs us what will happen. Therefore, it is necessary to open the verse according to what will happen.
Why will they not be able to say anything else? Allah has the attribute of Allah. The meaning of this attribute is: Because whatever people will ask our Lord, He has actually done it in this world and He has been shown what He has done in return. Therefore, they will be cut off from all questions and will not be able to question our Lord. Their only words will be a lie there too, and they will try to lie in order to come to this world again, saying, 'By Allah, we were not the associators.
It is stated in the 12th verse of Sûda Sûra Sajda: (See the time when those sinners will bow their heads before their Lord and say: "Our Lord! We have seen, we have heard, now send us back (to the world) so that we may do good deeds, and they will not be able to say anything except that they will say: "We have seen, we have heard, now send us back (to the world) so that we may do good deeds, now we have firmly believed". This is the clear meaning of the verse.
What is said in the video
Until you understand.
Surah Al-An'am, verse 23, verse 24, verse 25, these are all wrongly translated verses. Once one was translated wrongly anyway, they came one after another.
What does it say? Then their excuse was nothing but saying: by Allah, our Lord, we were not those who associated partners, it says.
Where is the mistake here? How nicely the man has written it. Look what it says. Then their excuse was nothing but saying: by Allah, our Lord, we were not those who associated partners, it says. Yes. If you pay attention to the words, you'll find it right away, but because you're not yet at that level, you can't find it. What does it say, look, tell me. No?
Let me read it, I'll explain now. Then their excuse was nothing but saying: by Allah, our Lord, we were not those who associated partners. The Hour has struck, people have been resurrected in the Hereafter, the Great Court has been set up, and they are giving account like this, they've been resurrected, and they'll say to Allah Almighty: O Allah, we were not among those who associated partners. Look, pay attention to the word.
Then their excuse was nothing but saying: by Allah, our Lord, we were not those who associated partners, it says. Has the Great Court been set up? Have these been called to account? They haven't been yet. So say the words properly, properly. What do we say? Then their excuse: they will not be able to say anything but: by Allah, our Lord, we were not those who associated partners, it says.
'Was nothing but' versus 'they will not be able to say'.
I mean, it hasn't been set up yet. He knows what they will do. What does this statement confirm, which verse does it confirm?
Until the Day of Judgement, there is no living being whose deeds We don't know. We know the secrets of your hearts, it says. He knows what they will say, and He says it here. It is this simple. You'll distinguish these here, you'll know them. Yes. The words now attribute this to Allah. If a non-Muslim with a thinking mind came across this, he'd say: have these people ever in their lives been called to account by Allah? When did that happen, that they are saying these words? He would, wouldn't he.
Yes.
