The misinterpretation

See how they lied against themselves, and how the things they invented (as God) disappeared from them!

The right translation

See how they tell lies against themselves and how the things they made up (as deities) disappeared from their sides.

Explanation

This Verse has been opened incorrectly from the beginning. In the verse that was opened incorrectly: See how they have lied against themselves, and how what they invented (as gods) has disappeared from them! The truth is: See how they will lie against themselves and how what they invented (as gods) will disappear from them!

This is the wrong wording in this verse. Because the Day of Judgment has not yet broken, and people have not been resurrected and reckoned in the Judgment. In this case, when it is said, "See how they lied against themselves," it means that they have been resurrected, and our Lord is informing us of their condition while they are being reckoned with in the Hereafter.

However, when people die and are resurrected in the Hereafter, our Lord informs us that we are lying under the earth before we are called to account. Surah Al-Mu'minun, Verse 112: 112- (Allah will ask the disbelievers) How many years did you dwell on the earth? They will say: 113- We stayed for a day or a part of a day. So ask those who count. That is to say, ask the Melaike-i Kirama who keep an account of how long you lie under the earth.

Verse 24: See how, see how, it says, they lied against themselves. Look, this is the same thing too. And how the things they invented as gods, from themselves, how they vanished, it says. As if they had been called to account, and when that account was taken, they had finished that business. Now it tells us about their situation.
