Al-An'am 25: There are some that listen to you (to the Qur’an that you recite). However, (due to their rebellion,) there are some among them who have put veils upon their hearts and a cover upon their ears. Even if they were to see all types of miracles, they would not believe. When these infidels come to you, they even argue with you, saying, “this Qur’an is nothing but the tales of the previous ones”.

The misinterpretation

There were some of them who listened to you (the Quran you recited), but We put veils over their hearts and weight on their ears to prevent them from understanding it. Even if they see all kinds of miracles, they still do not believe in it. Even when those unbelievers come to you; They argue with you, saying that this Quran is nothing but the tales of the ancients.

The right translation

There are some that listen to you (to the Qur’an that you recite).

Explanation

This is the wrong place in this verse: But We put veils over their hearts and weights in their ears to prevent them from understanding it. Verily, there were those who had veils put over their hearts and weights in their ears (because of their disobedience). When Allah (swt) made a covenant with mankind, He wrote their desires and wishes as their destiny. When Our Lord says, "We have put veils over their hearts and weights on their ears to prevent some of them from understanding it," it means that We have discriminated among His servants and put veils over their hearts to prevent such people from seeing and understanding the truth. Our Lord has not judged with justice, which is also contrary to many verses of Allah (swt). Because Our Lord does not wrong anyone. Allah (swt) is the One who is just and gives full recompense to everyone for what he has done. The truth of the verse is: And there were those who put veils over their hearts and weights in their ears (because of their rebellion). Because all human beings will be held accountable for what they have done.

What is said in the video

In the twenty- fifth verse, I'm reading the wrong one. Among them were some who listened to the Quran you recite. Correct. He is saying it to the Prophet, there were those among them who listened, this part is correct. But to prevent them from understanding it, We put veils over their hearts and heaviness in their ears, it says. Now this isn't right.

As Creator, however You program it, that is how it will be. If You programmed it this way, You can't call it to account. If it's justice. Look what it says. But to prevent them from understanding it, We put veils over their hearts and heaviness in their ears too, it says. So now He has discriminated between His servants. Even if they saw every kind of miracle, they still would not believe in it. This is true too. But it would have been correct once the words there were corrected. Indeed, when those disbelievers come to you: this Quran is nothing but the fables of the ancients, they will say, and so with you they argue, it says.

Now let's read it, completing the missing words.

Among them were also some who did not know the Quran you recite. But because of their rebellion, because of their rebellion, but 'their rebellion' isn't in the verse. That's in brackets. Why is it in brackets? It's in their covenant at the address 'Am I not your Lord?'. It now symbolises that covenant. Because of their rebellion. And there were also those who had veils put over their hearts and heaviness put in their ears, it says. That is 'Am I not your Lord?'. Because they don't know this, because they don't know how the covenant was there, they make things up, make things up and say them like this.

Yes. Even if they saw every kind of miracle, in this state they still would not believe in it. Indeed, when those disbelievers come to you, they argue with you, saying: this Quran is nothing but the fables of their ancients. How nice. That is what actually happens. Yes.

Do you know how nice it would be if they could say it without attributing it to Allah Almighty?
