Al-An'am 71: Say; ”Would we leave Allah and worship things that will not benefit nor harm us, and would we turn back while we have attained Allah’s guidance? It is (the example of) a person who is wandering on earth bewilderedly and whom the Shaytans are leading astray and leading to a cliff; on the other side, there are his friends. They call him to the right path and say, ‘come to us’.” Say; “Allah’s guidance is Islam, and this is the right path. We (all people who have their individual choice) have been ordered to surrender to the Lord of (all) the worlds.”

The misinterpretation

Say; Do we leave Allah and pray and pray for things that can neither benefit us nor harm us, and turn our backs when Allah has guided us? He is like a person who, while wandering on the earth, bewildered, the devils lead him astray and drag him into the abyss, and he has friends behind him. They call him to the right path to come to us. Say; The guidance of Allah is the religion of Islam. This is the right way. We have been commanded to be Muslims ourselves to the Lord of the worlds.

The right translation

Say; ”Would we leave Allah and worship things that will not benefit nor harm us, and would we turn back while we have attained Allah’s guidance? It is (the example of) a person who is wandering on earth bewilderedly and whom the Shaytans are leading astray and leading to a cliff; on the other side, there are his friends. They call him to the right path and say, ‘come to us’.” Say; “Allah’s guidance is Islam, and this is the right path. We (all people who have their individual choice) have been ordered to surrender to the Lord of (all) the worlds.”

Explanation

This is where this verse goes wrong: Allah has guided us. The truth is: While we have attained Allah's guidance.

They constantly attribute shortcomings to our Lord by misinterpreting the verses. Our Lord does not guide anyone, nor does He guide anyone to the right path. But because our Lord leaves people free in their wills, He sends them books and Prophets to guide them, to help them avoid oppression, to help them come out of darkness into the light, and to help them recognize their Creator. People prove what kind of a person they are by working out their own destiny with their own will, with their own deeds in this world.

What is said in the video

Well, saying 'it is written in the Quran', when they rendered the verses of the Quran, there are verses that were rendered wrongly.

We are correcting the wrongly rendered verses anyway.

In this case, about a verse rendered as superstition, if someone says, 'Hodja, they say this verse like this, but is it correct?', that is correct. His words would be right. He's asking me whether it's correct. I mean, is this rendering correct? And we say no. There is a mistake here. Like what? Look, now I'm reading you a wrong verse. None of you will easily find where it's wrong. Look, what does it say now? Say: Shall we leave Allah and pray to and worship things that can neither benefit nor harm us? And shall we turn back on our heels after Allah has guided us? Like whom? Like the one who, while wandering bewildered on earth, the devils lead astray and drag to the abyss, while on this side his friends call him, 'come to us', inviting him to the right path.

Say: Allah's guidance is the religion of Islam, and this is the right path. We have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds. One. But it's a wrongly rendered verse.

They have ascribed an attribute to Allah Almighty. 'Hodja, what's wrong here?' you'll say. What is it? Look, there is a single word here. What does it say? Look.

Say: Shall we leave Allah and to things that can neither benefit nor harm us pray and worship? Correct. And shall we turn among us, turn back on our heels after Allah has guided us? it says. Wrong. Why wrong? Now here it ascribes an attribute to Allah Almighty.

What does it say here?

And shall we turn back on our heels after Allah has guided us? Are we all Allah's servants? If Allah Almighty guided us, why didn't He guide the others? Aren't they Allah's servants? If a father discriminates among his children, that father is a tyrant, it is said. And Allah Almighty is abundant in mercy, abundant in forgiveness. Would a sultan in this situation discriminate among his subjects? So if a person does not know the address 'Am I not your Lord?', by his own wishes and desires he had himself programmed by Allah Almighty, well, of course he can't render these. How does he render them? Allah would put whomever He wills into Paradise, and whomever He wills into Hell. Then why should I worship, if it's left to Allah's will?

Wasn't will of two kinds? There is universal will and there is partial will. Universal will: Allah Almighty creates what He wants. Partial will is the will He gave to people. Since Allah Almighty created will as two, the partial too, and from the universal gave will to the partial, that person used his will and had himself programmed. Here, with words like: Allah Almighty did this to that person like so, He puts him into Hell, puts this one into Paradise, they take the person's will away from him. If his own will is lifted from the person, then since Allah Almighty's power suffices for everything, if he says 'You made me do this, what could I do?', what would Allah Almighty say?

So if people who can't use their reason render verses wrongly like this, then say, 'Hodja, I have doubts about this verse.' About this rendering. Not the verse, though. In the rendering. No one can doubt the verse. Why can't anyone doubt it? What's the reason? Tell me. We sent down the Quran. We are its guardian until the Day of Judgment. Not a single letter of it will be distorted or damaged, it says. So since no one can damage the verses of the Quran, about its translation: Hodja, is it rendered correctly? you can ask. That's a very good statement too. Yes. So this one, because he couldn't say it that way, we take it that he said it like this.

We accept what Muslims say. Otherwise no one can doubt the verse, and is there such a verse at all? It's a word in its translation that makes a person doubt that verse. May Allah protect us. Yes.
