The misinterpretation

Here are the proofs we gave to Abraham against his people. We elevate the ranks of whom We wish. Undoubtedly, your Lord is Wise, All-Knowing.

The right translation

And this is Our proof and We have given it to Abraham against his nation. We exalt the one who wishes from Us by degrees. Verily, your Lord is Hakeem (All-Wise) and Aleem (All-knowing).

Explanation

This is where this verse goes wrong: We raise the degrees of whom We will. The truth is: We raise up in degrees those who ask of Us. The will of our Lord does not exist on people in the worldly realm. Allah created man as a particle of His Spirit. He gave man a mind to govern himself and to judge himself with his own will. He made a covenant with human beings in this situation. In the 172nd Verse of Surah A'râf, our Lord says

(172- He made the descendants of the Children of Adam to bear witness against themselves and said: "I am your Lord", lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection, "We were ignorant of this": I am your Lord. (They said) yes, we bear witness (to that).

If Allah, who has power and might, puts whom He wills in Paradise and whom He wills in Hell, if He creates whoever He wills as a disbeliever and whoever He wills as a Muslim, if He bestows His mercy on whomever He wills and withholds His mercy from whomever He wills, if He makes whomever He wills superior in degrees, would we not be characterizing our Lord by making Allah (swt) unjust among His servants?

In this case, those who have a strong faith in our Lord, our Lord knows and raises them in degrees. So, when people make a covenant with Allah (swt) in the address Elestu bi Rabbikum, their own desires and wishes become their destiny. Within this destiny, people are either punished or rewarded for the actual actions they have done with their desires and wishes. They will be rewarded for their actions. In this case, while people live in the world, our Lord raises people in degrees with the prayers and good deeds they do of their own will. This is the truth of this verse.

What is said in the video

Well, let's see here, Surah Al-An'am, verse 83 has been rendered wrongly. What does it say? This is the evidence We gave to Abraham against his people. We raise the ranks of whomever We will. What happens? He takes away the will of those He likes from the people. He gives the authority to them.

Surely your Lord is All-Wise. All-Knowing, it says. Now here, too, there is a very deep meaning, but the end is fine. We take out the wrong words here. I mean, just because this verse was rendered wrongly, it isn't all wrong from the start. We are correcting its wrongly rendered words here. Because Allah is given an attribute. Now what does it say here? We raise the ranks of whomever We will. No: We raise the rank of the one who wills. And this was settled at the address Elestü bi Rabbiküm. There, everyone had his own script written. That script was written for the person as destiny. Allah Almighty placed characters in people according to those destinies.

When the time comes, according to those characters, Allah Almighty creates causes for them. The person works through those causes with actual deeds and earns reward and sin. He proves what kind of person he is. Yes.

What is the correct version? This is Our proof.

Look, 83, this is the evidence We gave to Abraham against his people, is Our evidence. Our evidence, it says. Well, whereas here to Abraham the proof He gave, it says. This is Our proof. Our proof We gave to his people. We gave them to Abraham against his people. He gave it against his people. Let the one who wills from Us rise in ranks. Whom? The one who wills. Who is this one who wills? I mean, this isn't in the world, but look, this willing. This willing was finished before. It's finished.

When we made a covenant with Allah Almighty at the address Elestü bi Rabbiküm, what does Allah Almighty say in Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172? We, from the children of Adam, made a covenant with those who would emerge from their offspring; We said: your Lord. Where? In the realm of Lahut, when He created our souls. There we gave our pledge, and the matter was settled. Our willing was there. 'But Hodja, how would we know those realms?' Well, He showed us the realms just like today. Now on television they show us France, they show London, they show New York, they show Paris. Don't they? Wherever your heart desires, Allah, who knows the secret of what passes through your heart, gives you your characters accordingly.

And He shows you the world in this way, like an engineer draws a project and shows it to you in that project. He works your feelings into you just as they are. This is your character. By your own will. In this case, what does it say here? We raise in ranks the one who wills from Us; surely your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing, it says. Surely your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing. To whom does He say this? He says it to the Prophet, doesn't He? Surely your Lord is All-Wise.

Here I can say something like this: when He says 'your Lord', to the Prophet (peace be upon him), it is his Lord. Is He my Lord too? 'Your Lord is All-Wise', it says. He is addressing him, not me. Isn't that so? Look, what does it say? Surely your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing.

Whom did we follow? Hazrat Muhammad. Hazrat Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. Whom did you follow? Allah. All who follow the Prophet are included in this verse. 'Your Lord.' All who do not follow him are non-Muslims. People of Hell. Do you see the subtlety in the word? Yes. As long as you know it. Your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing. Yes. There are deep meanings, but if a person just reads it and moves on, he won't understand anything, of course.

Yes.
