Al-An'am 123: And thus, they take leadership in committing sins in every town to incite mischief there. They only deceive themselves, but they are unaware.

Verse 123, it is here too. "Thus in every town We made its sinners leaders, so that they spread corruption there," it says. "We made its sinners leaders." You, these sinners... I would ask Allah Almighty, that is, if You were deficient, God forbid, what I would say: You made these sinners leaders. These are the leaders. They torment us, we have no choice. No choice. So we followed them. You should have made Muslims leaders. Then we would have followed them. If you become Muslim, your subjects too will see you, will become Muslim, and you will get two rewards," he says. "If you don't heed Islam, don't embrace Islam, don't become Muslim, your subjects, out of fear of you," he says, "will not become Muslim, and you'll bear two sins," he says. Go ahead. Well now, by this, did the Prophet go outside the verses and speak? What about the verse that he does not speak idly? So its meaning is this: Thus in every town, so that they spread corruption there, they make sinners leaders, it says, they make sinners leaders. Don't they do so today?
