Al-An'am 165: Allah has made you viceroys on earth. In terms of what Allah has given to you (provisions), some are superior by degrees to others. (And thus), you will be tested with each other. Indeed, your Lord is the One Whose punishment is swift, and Allah is Ghafoor (Most Forgiving) and Raheem (the One who very generously accepts repentance).

The misinterpretation
who made you the caliphs of the earth; It is He who has made some of you superior to others by degrees, so that He may test you with what He has given you. Surely the Lord is swift in punishment, and indeed He is Forgiving, Merciful.
The right translation
Allah has made you viceroys on earth.
Explanation
The wrong place in this verse is this: "It is He Who has made some of you superior to others in degrees, that He may try you in what He has given you." The truth is: "Some of you are superior to others in degrees in what He has bestowed upon you, (so) you are (tested) with one another."
There is no need for Allah (swt) to test people. Our Lord, who made a covenant with human beings one by one at Kalu Bela after the Elestu bi Rabbikum address, has written their desires and wishes as their destiny. In this case, according to the verse "There is not a single living creature that will come until the Day of Resurrection that we do not know what it will do", our Lord knows what kind of human beings they are. In this case, our Lord does not test people, but people are tested with each other and at the end of their lives they pass on to the Hereafter after proving what kind of a person they are. As a reward for what they have done in the world, they will either enter Paradise or Hell.
What is said in the video
That's how it is.
Verse 165, in Surah Al-An'am, verse 165 has been rendered wrongly. I'm reading the wrong one of this too. "It is He who made you the vicegerents of the earth..." How nicely it says it. What is a vicegerent? A vicegerent is someone appointed in place of a person, who leaves a place and appoints him over it: a vicegerent. So when Allah Almighty gave man of His spirit and, from His spirit, (?), created man and sent him down to earth, He made him, with free will, the vicegerent of His creatures on earth. That is, of all beings on earth, the one responsible, the head. That's why, do not waste, do not have living beings beaten needlessly, says Allah Almighty.
That's the vicegerent. A free human. Free will. What does it say? "Who made you the vicegerents of the earth, to test you in what He has given you." Now look, here it doesn't work. Test. Allah Almighty has no need to test anyone. Because He knows what we will do. That's why on earth He left us free within our own will, and with the deeds we've done, tomorrow at the Resurrection He will call us to account for our good and bad deeds. That's why He has no need to test us. What does it say? "Who raised some of you above others in rank in order to test you is He." Come on. Now look. He has raised some of us above others in rank.
Well now, I would say: what was my fault? You should have raised me above (?) too. Isn't that so? You are the Creator. You don't wrong Your creatures. Your compassion, Your mercy has embraced the universe. "My mercy," He says, "has surpassed My wrath." Well, in that case. Why? You raised some of us above others. Look how nice. That's the question. What would Allah Almighty say to this question of mine? We continue now.
"He is the one who raised some of us above others in rank. Surely your Lord is swift in punishment." He both raises some of us above others and will punish those of us below. "And truly He is Forgiving, Merciful." This time He's generous in forgiving. Words that don't agree with one another. Of course, if these verses are rendered like this, even a person of sound mind says, in the religion of Islam such a thing... It too is full of superstitions, he says. Superstitions. Now we're explaining the correct version. He made you the vicegerents of the earth. Yes. He created us free. No human was created on earth as a slave.
In the blessings He has given you, in the blessings He has given us, some of you are above others in rank. According to what? According to the covenant we gave Allah Almighty, according to our bond of love for Him, to our knowing Him, sir, as Lord; since He knows the secrets of our hearts, according to our rank He writes our destiny for us. That is, our script, according to the rank we gave in the hereafter, according to the covenant, our script is written. What does it say here too? Let's read it again. In the blessings He has given you, some of you are above others in rank. Of course, some eat a meal and say, 'what kind of food is this', or 'is this food' food? Someone sits with love and affection eating with his beloved, and with the food that person gives, with the treat, sells his soul to that man, sir; and someone, when he eats the blessings Allah Almighty has given, gives thanks: my Lord, all praise and glory to You, he says. And someone, while eating, those drowning in the seas, those wandering hungry and destitute, when they come to mind, what our Lord has given a person given a person, the food sticks in his throat, tears flow from his eyes: My Lord, You are capable of everything; as You've given to us, those oppressed too, they're Your servants, to them too, in generosity, sir, You who are endlessly generous, grant it to them too, my Lord, he says, and gives his thanks like this. Look, these are rank upon rank, rank upon rank. Yes.
Otherwise Allah didn't rank anyone. Yes. Man ranked himself. What do we say? He made you the vicegerents of the earth. In the blessings He has given you, some of you are above others in rank. In that case, by one another, with one another you are tested. With one another we are tested, what kind of person I am comes out. The test is with one another. Allah doesn't test us. We are tried with one another. Trial. The test is (?), the trial is like that too. With one another. Surely your Lord is swift in punishment. He punishes the (?). And truly He is Forgiving, Merciful. If a person If one asks Allah Almighty (?) for pardon and forgiveness, our Lord's forgiveness is abundant.
Yes.
