Explanation
The misinterpretation
Iblis said: So, in return for your temptation, I swear that I too will sit on your right path to mislead them.
The right translation
(Iblees) Satan said, “If so, in return for my transgression (rebellion), verily, I will sit on Your straight path to lead them astray.”
Explanation
This is where this verse goes wrong: "So that you may tempt me." The truth is: "So in return for my rebellion,"
Allah (swt) does not mislead anyone and does not do an iota of injustice to anyone. Every soul will be repaid for what it has done in full before the infallible justice of our Lord. If Our Lord were to have tempted mankind and jinn, He would have done injustice among His servants. It also created in the people they tempted a state in which they felt a so-called power over our Lord.
Our Lord has made a covenant with the human and jinn groups and has written their desires and wishes as their destiny. In that case, man and jinn cannot doubt the justice of our Lord and His discrimination between His servants.
What is said in the video
We have come to Surah Al-A'raf. Surah Al-A'raf, verse 16, a wrongly translated word. Iblis said: Then, in return for Your leading me astray, I swear that to lead them astray, on Your straight path I will sit, it says. I'm reading it once more. Look, who will be able to find this? Who will be able to find the mistake here? Except, of course, those who have the book in hand.
What does it say? Iblis said: Then, in return for Your leading me astray, I swear that... Allah leads no one astray. The accursed one went astray himself. He grew arrogant and proud. He did not prostrate to Adam. What, He said, has made you arrogant? Allah Almighty is asking him now. What has made you arrogant? You opposed the command. He is playing with words. He says: You created me from fire and him from clay. Clay does not purify fire, but fire purifies clay, he says. Then, He says, get down from there. That is, you defied My command. And on top of that you spoke ignorantly. Get down from there.
You have put the ring of the curse around your neck until the Day of Judgment, He says. Yes. Because he defied His command. And so those who defy Allah's command, not until the Day of Judgment but after it, are the ones who turn the eternal home of bliss into an eternal home of punishment, who will stay forever in the fire as people of Hell. May Allah protect us.
Whereas now we read the correct version. Iblis said: Then, in return for my going astray, not Your leading me astray, my going astray, that is, in return for my rebellion, my rebellion against You, I swear, I take an oath, he says. To lead them astray, on Your straight path I will sit, he says. Yes. And this is the correct one. No one can ascribe attributes to Allah Almighty.
