The misinterpretation

Are you surprised that a man among you came to you for a reminder from your Lord to warn you? Imagine that He replaced you after the People of Noah and made you superior to them in creation. So remember the blessings of Allah so that you may be successful.

The right translation

“Are you surprised that a warning came to you from your Lord by man amongst you? Know that Allah made you viceroys after Noah’s nation. By creation, Allah has given you strength. Remember Allah’s provisions so that you will attain salvation.”

Explanation

Where this verse goes wrong is here: "He has made you superior to them in creation." The correct version is: "He has given him great stature and strength in creation."

Allah (swt) did not create anyone superior to anyone else among His creation. Every human being has two feet, two hands, a head, two eyes, two ears and a heart. In terms of creation, our Lord did not create anyone different and superior to anyone else. In our worldly life, people were not created as copies of each other in terms of height and strength, as if they were made on a lathe. Our Lord has endowed this tribe with strength in stature and power. It is said that they were as tall and strong as church poles. They carved mountains and built palaces. Their works have survived to this day. People traveling overland to Saudi Arabia can see the palaces carved out of the mountains if they go through Jordan.

What is said in the video

After explaining this one too, we will close our lesson, God willing.

Surah Al-A'raf, verse 69: To warn you, through a man from among you... I'm reading the wrong one. Are you surprised that, to warn you, through a man from among you, from your Lord a reminder has come to you? Yes, remember that He brought you in their place after the people of Noah, and made you superior to them in creation; so remember the blessings of Allah so that you may attain salvation, it says. A wrongly translated place; where is it? After the people of Noah He brought you in their place, and in creation you He made superior to them.

So remember the blessings of Allah so that you may attain salvation, it says. The mistake here is also this part I read. What does it say? To warn you, through a man from among you, from your Lord a warning came to you; do you disbelieve and marvel at it? Now we move on to the mistake. Remember that He made you successors after the people of Noah. That is, again He made you successors on the earth. What does this mean? Successors: all people, from our father Adam until the people of Noah, were successors. But after that He drowned the whole earth in water. He created with a new creation after Adam.

After that, again He made you successors on the earth. That is, you came as its continuation, it says. You came as its continuation. In creation He gave abundant stature and strength. Creation, to whom? To people. To all of them. Think of the blessings of Allah. So that you may attain salvation, it says. But someone who doesn't know the origin of this verse translates that part like this: Remember that He brought you in their place after the people of Noah, and in creation you He makes superior to them. Look. In creation. Then those created together with my father Adam and my mother Eve are all inferior people.

That is, not superior in terms of humanity. God forbid, I seek Allah's forgiveness. Remember the blessings of Allah so that you may attain salvation, it says. Yes. Here this...
