Explanation
The misinterpretation
But when Allah gave them (wealth) out of His bounty, they broke their promise by being stingy with it and turning away (from Allah's command).
The right translation
But when Allah gave from Allah’s grace, they became miserly and turned away. And they were disloyal.
Explanation
This is where this verse is wrong: They went back on their word. Indeed: They were already side-stepping.
No man can break his covenant with our Lord. Because his destiny is written. But people live their destiny. The word "reneged" is wrong. The truth is that they were already going sideways. In other words, our Lord knows what they will do in their destiny and informs us of their situation.
What is said in the video
That's understood, I suppose, isn't it?
Yes, verse 76, Surah At-Tawbah. But when Allah gave them wealth out of His bounty, they were stingy with it and, turning away from Allah's command, went back on their word, it says. They went back on their word.
Where... are you here? Wrong.
Will you see? Will you see? No. Come.
They went back on their word? Once, once. All right. Look, when, at the address "Elestü bi-Rabbiküm", He made the covenant, everyone's destiny was written. No one can go outside that destiny. When it says here "they went back on their word", it means Allah Almighty, while writing people's destinies, could not write them fully, wrote them wrongly, and so they went back on their word. No one can change their destiny. Which verse is it tied to? If you know the meaning of the verse you say it, but you cannot grasp it. What does "if We did not will, you could not will" mean? This: We have written your destinies, and if there is any power and might that can change it, it is Me, He says.
Only if I will do I change it, He says. And a word from Us has come to pass: Paradise and Hell, meaning it can never change again. Moreover, with Us there is a Book, kept in the Preserved Tablet, and to it afterwards neither anything is added nor taken away, He says. So no one can go back on their word. Within the destiny Allah has given people, would one give his word to Allah Almighty and then go back on it? Whereas what do we say here? When He gave them from His generosity, (?) gave When, it says, He gave them from His generosity, they were stingy and turned away. They were already dodging, it says. Already dodging. What was it to them anyway? I mean, We know they would do that, says Allah Almighty.
Verse 76. Yes.
