At-Tawbah 109: Is the person who establishes his building upon Allah’s fear and contentedness better, or is it the person who establishes his structure near a collapsing cliff and falls with it himself into hellfire? Nations that continue with oppression cannot attain Allah’s guidance.

The misinterpretation

Is it better for the one who builds his building on the fear and pleasure of Allah, or the one who builds his building on the edge of a cliff that will collapse and then collapses with him and goes into the fire of Hell? Allah does not guide the wrongdoers.

The right translation

Is the person who establishes his building upon Allah’s fear and contentedness better, or is it the person who establishes his structure near a collapsing cliff and falls with it himself into hellfire? Nations that continue with oppression cannot attain Allah’s guidance.

Explanation

This is where this verse goes wrong: Allah does not guide a party of wrongdoers. The truth is: The people who continue in oppression will not attain Allah's Guidance.

When they opened the Verses, they repeated the same Verses in the same way, always referring to our Lord. We put footnotes of the verses we have already written under the repeated verses as a repetition. Are there not those who are guided among the community of wrongdoers? Full. Does this not qualify our Lord? As we have said, the verses of the Qur'an have been opened in a contradictory way because of their incomplete and incorrect opening.

They have opened the verses incorrectly because of their faulty opening. Those who are not aware of the covenant between people and Allah (swt) have evaluated people based on their current situation. However, people are guided when they realize that their ways were wrong after they were in the situation they were in, and they repent and enter the religion of Islam.

The origins of the wrong opening of the verses are due to the wrong opening of Verse 172 of Surah A'raf. Our Lord's doors of repentance are open. If those who are outside the religion of Islam die without repenting, they will go to the Hereafter without faith and without guidance. However, the door of repentance is open until the end of life. If they repent, they will go to the Hereafter as Muslims.

What is said in the video

Verse 109 of Surah At-Tawbah has been rendered wrongly. Is the one who builds his building on the fear of Allah and His good pleasure, the one, or the one who builds on the edge of a crumbling cliff, and together with it collapses himself and goes into the fire of Hell? Allah does not guide the community of wrongdoers. Look what a beautiful example Allah Almighty gives here. But we all know the end of it. Is it the one who founds his building on the fear of Allah and His good pleasure? I mean, a person who, his religion, his faith, toward his Lord who created him, proceeding upon His Sharia ruling, upon the straight path, goes on, is it such a person?

(?) here, is it a person? Is better, is better, or the one who builds his structure on the edge of a crumbling cliff, I mean on the edge of sliding earth, and together with it collapses himself and goes into the fire of Hell? Allah does not guide the community of wrongdoers, it says. Here: the community of wrongdoers, as long as it remains in that state, cannot attain Allah's guidance, is what it should have said. That's why we marked that place as wrong. Yes. Allah Almighty says to the self, that He is the owner of the universe, giving us great value that He created us close to His essence with a part of His spirit, as the noblest of creatures the most honoured of created beings, people, toward their Creator, toward Allah Almighty, need to be like this, He says.

They need to be like this so that they attain salvation, He says. What form is that? Is it the one who builds his building on the fear of Allah and His good pleasure? Is better. (?) The one who knows his Owner. He gives thanks for what Allah has given you, and that one day we will be called to account in His presence he knows. A person who acts (?) by Allah's Sharia law, who has given his heart to Allah, going on that path toward the straight path (?), is he better? Or the person who inclines to the rubbish heap of this passing world and takes it as his motto and turns his back on Allah's verses, is he better?

Those, it says, from that cliff, with that collapse, with that building, go toward the fire of Hell, toward destruction, it says. Yes. So Allah too, it says, such a community of wrongdoers does not love as long as it continues in that state, it says. Yes.
