Yunus 88: Moses said, “Oh our Dear Lord! You indeed have given to Pharaoh and his people ornaments and many possessions in the worldly life. Oh, our Lord! (With those provisions) they are leading people away from Your path. Even if they were to see the pitiful punishment, (except for those who would find the Truth) they will not believe. Oh, our Dear Lord! Destroy their possessions and give discomfort to their hearts.”

The misinterpretation
Moses said: O our Lord! Indeed, you gave Pharaoh and his people adornments and many goods in the life of this world. O our Lord! Did you (give them these blessings) so that they might lead people astray from your path and not believe until they see the painful punishment? O our Lord! Destroy their property and trouble their hearts.
The right translation
Moses said, “Oh our Dear Lord!
Explanation
This is where this verse goes wrong: Verily, You have given Pharaoh and his people in the life of this world, adornment and much wealth. O our Lord, did You give them (these blessings) that they might lead people astray from Your Way and that they might not believe until they see the painful punishment? Verily: Verily, You gave Pharaoh and his people in the life of this world adornment and much wealth. O Our Lord, (they) lead people astray from Your Way. Even if they see the painful punishment, they will not believe (except those among them who will find the truth).
In the wrong opening, Hazrat Musa speaks as if Allah (swt) has given him wisdom. Our Lord does not know why you gave them these wealth, but they make Hazrat Musa ask, "Did you give them these blessings so that they may lead people astray from your path and that they may not believe until they see the painful punishment? Hazrat Musa is ashamed to speak like that. If our Lord says something or gives something, He has wisdom and knows what He is giving and why. He is free from all imperfect attributes.
The correct opening of the verse is as follows: "(They) mislead people from Your way. Even if they see the painful punishment, they will not believe (except those among them who will find the truth)."
What is said in the video
Man, by his own will, had himself sealed. Yes.
Verse 88 of Surah Yunus is also a wrongly translated verse. Moses said: Our Lord, You have indeed given Pharaoh and his people, in the life of this world, adornment and many riches. Our Lord, these blessings — so that they lead people astray from Your path and not believe until they see the painful punishment — is that why You gave them? it says. Look, he is complaining to Allah Almighty like this.
Who could say this to Allah? How can they fabricate lies against Moses? Our Lord, destroy their wealth, afflict their hearts. And he is giving Allah Almighty advice, sir, I mean. Yes.
Whereas Moses said: Our Lord, You have indeed given Pharaoh and his people, in the life of this world, adornment and many riches. Look: You gave adornment and many riches. Whereas what does it say here? You have indeed given Pharaoh and his people adornment and many riches in the life of this world. In the life of this world You gave many riches. Our Lord, these blessings — so that they lead people astray from Your path and, until they see the painful punishment, not believe — is that why You gave them? it says. We continue here now. You gave Pharaoh and his people adornment and many riches in the life of this world.
Our Lord, with these blessings they lead people astray from Your path. Allah knows this too. They are leading them astray. They will see the painful punishment, even if they see the painful punishment, none but those among them who will find the truth, of those, will believe. Until they. What does it say?
What does it say?
Our Lord, these blessings — with these blessings they mislead people from Your path, they lead them astray, right. Even if they see the painful punishment, none but those among them who will find the truth will believe. Our Lord, destroy their wealth, afflict their hearts. Yes, here all (?), that is, these blessings of theirs — so that they lead people astray from Your path and not believe until they see the painful punishment — is that why You gave them? it says. So he is asking Allah Almighty a question like this. but here: O our Lord, they, with these blessings, people from Your path path. Those who see the painful punishment too, until even if they see the painful punishment, even if they see the painful punishment, none but those among them who will find the truth will believe.
He knows it too. How beautifully he puts it. He is a prophet. Who would believe and who would not, at the address 'Am I not your Lord?' to Allah Almighty (?) — that they live among them and that they too will come to faith — don't they know that? This is a prophet. Yes. Even if they see the painful punishment, none but those among them who will find the truth will believe. Our Lord, destroy their wealth. Afflict their hearts, it says. So he is invoking a curse on them like this. Yes.
